[SUGGESTION] Music Forum

Well, I believe that PC has a fairly good percentage of members that are at least somewhat music fans, as am I, and I think that a music forum, or sub-forum of Other Entertainment, would be really beneficial to PC. And a good way to keep it organized would extend the one month revival rule to three months in this forum and have only one thread for each band, group, or performer's thread and then use the one month revival rule for other threads like random news and such.

Also good ideas for sticky threds wold be "Last song you listened to", "Music Sharing" (Those we already have) and then to add a new thread called "Music News" in which just general music news could be posted there.

Edit: Also Reviews of songs/CD's/performers could be posted in the forum.

I like the idea of a new music forum. It is great since many songs people write go under poetry and they get confused also. It can serve for band reviews, knowing how people on PC have bands here too. and more.

the lats song yo ulisten to as stickied??? that would be just a placwe where people would just use it to gain posts by posting the songs they listen to like every second.
The other two sound cool.

I would love the whole band review, lyrics and anything with that.
I'm all for this idea. A music forum would be helpful.

The only thing i wonder is whether music really deserves a sub compared to the others.
What i was thinking, after just looking at OE, was separating it into main subs of Music, Books, Movies, and just leaving the main OE section for everything else that isn't dealt with often, like sports etc. it would tidy the area up a bit ^^;

Would Books really warrant it's own subforum though? I agree that Music and TV/Movies could have their own subforum in there though.

Meh, I like the idea, but then you would ahve to have one for all entertainment and I just think that would be to much to have all in sub forums, but I think it would be cool to have one for music and Movies because they are the most talked about entertainment ^_^

It's a good idea.. But in Other Entertainment, we mainly have music threads. The other section would be so small, and it would be dead constantly. It makes no sense to have a sub-forum, because music plays a very big role in the "life" of OE.. So.. That's just my two cents. ~origin

Yeah I agree wit hClaire, Music and Tv/Movies are ones of the more talked about subjects, books arent discussed as much as the rest do.

Well music is talked about as much as tv/movies together so that would be a good idea to put tv and movies together in one sub since they are the same concept.

Well, I personally am a music fan, but I don't think that splitting the forum would be better. If it gets separated, It may be the same; The only thing it'd do is take all the music topics/posts into it and leaving OE even more empty... A subforum is sometimes made to do that, but when a forum has plenty of posts o.o
Thats my point of view...

Considering that OE isn't that incredibly active, I don't really think it's necessary. Besides, then you'd have to make a sub-forum for Movies, Sports, and Books, so that the fans of those forms of entertainment wouldn't feel neglected. I think it's fine the way it is.
