suggestion: simple layout??

i have a suggestion, how about having a VERY simple layout, with just the essential images and stuff... not the highly detailed cool ones. im saying that we shud have a layout that loads fast on slow comps.

mine is 32.22kbps, but it works as a max of 5kbps. one thing i cant solve, and this is a problem with many people.

so if we have a simple layout, itd be easier for us to load and view pc, as well as faster.

it took me 5 minutes to just load this post new thread page.. and more time to load the wygiwys editor...

1. Click "User CP".
2. Click "Edit Options".
3. Scroll down to "Forum Skin".
4. Change skin to "Default Style".
5. Click "Save Changes".

If your internet is slow then you should also disable sigs and avys. Since them two is where you are getting 99% of the page loading from. And if you have the images Cached then it won't take as long to load after it's done loaded once.

Yeah, at the bottom of the page there's a scroll down menu, just select default style. That gets rid of the huge layout. Then do what Arcanine did and go to UserCP and options, than disable sigs and avatars. That's what I did and the pages are very simple and easy to read now (or in your case, easy to load).

the avy's and stuff are what helps me identify people properly.. but the default layout thing works good. thanks.
