Blaze... haven't tehy said its back to the topic?
If you have a comment for modding I suggest you boing it up to the admins rather than here or even though it may nto be allwoed I think a thread, but moving on.

After me yes,

And modding, I said a bot how is that a person to consider, and it was just a idea.

You yourself said giving it to someone who is already a mod, and why did you not give your idea to the Admins instead.

Don't lecture me, if you don't follow your own advice.

And with a bot, I bet you it would do a better job then any mod here

A bot mod is stupid, just becuase you can program the rules into it doesn't mean it can't mess things up.Rules are made to be broken.
And DP a mod (not saying new) is probably the only way we can accomplish this task.
Rules are made to be broken? Not even gonna say anything to that O_o. Claire looks in the area enough, and if needed we can give the area(s) to a nother mod. A new mod would be a last thing I guess.

Blaze bots aren't human, they take the rules but a lot of times mess up. ANY one of the mods could do a better job then a bot.

You cannot create a rule the will be specific enough for a bot mod about SPAM.This is why Humans make the robots 0.0
We have 29 mods in total.I would say about half come one everyday. And i know they have lives and issues and stuff, but Daisuke, blue you two are new mods of course you are gonna be as active as you can, this is what you have worked for your whole time here.I just think that our older mods are getting tired and losing interest possibly.

Digital Phoenix, did you know that when I wake up at 4:00 and stay until 9:00 am every morning Im like teh only mod. And everyday there is nothing going on at that time. There is abrely any members at that time and tahts GMT-5 [US, Canada] no reports, no spam, no nothing.

DarkShadowSmoke, just because you paid doesn't mean that you have too much of a say, since the whole thing was to help the community and to to think of your selfs as "staff", plus those who donated have gotten a name color.

Anyways into the topic. As I said, considering a bot might not be the same idea. And turning posts counts might, well... not work. But if its taken soem time I think the users will get use to it.

But you know what? Since we have many complainst on it, and I seen taht taht is the only forum with no rules on MCG as well as "Other Clubs" a new set of rules cna be set there, with what can be posted and what not can be posted. That can solve more of the problems. And if that was to happen im sure it will work. I mean why didn't we have a rule tehre to begin with? Rules restric members from doing or posting wrong things.

In my opinion, we need a set of rules there and that is it. that will probably reduce the amount of spam posts and there wouldn't be a need of posts shutting off.
Why didn't someone think of new rules to begin with?

Well,

Admins are suppose to program the bots not to make a mistake, so if you had a person who did it right.

Then the margin of error would decrease, plus mods make mistakes themselves too, so at least these wont fight with people.

I'm still as active as I was before I was a mod, that has nothing to do with this. The simple fact is people grow up and they have lives. And even if they don't come on much as long as they do their job it's ok.

So, now its moving on to saying we aren't good staff is it? In ANY instance, a bot could not process the qualities, and skills, I mod posseses. And I suggest, Blaze, that you aren't so rude when you speak to people.

Um... Jorge isn't a new mod. He's been modded since October, I think. </offtopic for the FINAL time>...

I was not rude,

I mean a bot wont have feelings which would make it do a better job, and it wouldnt favor anyone.

Plus it would save time.

Please don't twist what I say around, it is a idea nothing written in stone.

First of all, DSS, how long I've been a mod has nothing to do with it. I will remain as active as I was before, and currently am.

And Blaze, I'm not twisting around what you say. It's what you're implying. Bots, like someone already said, are like machines. They will NOT get anything done perfectly nor efficiently.

For the final time, please get on topic.

I wasn't been biased. And I read the otehr part, but still you guys have not reaad naything I typed before.

A new set of rules there would just solve this whole problem and we all better stop getting offtopic.

Alexiz you missed my whole point i never said i should have a super say cause i donated, if you ask me that was biased.
You have no more say then any other member does, he was not biased.

Yes you were "A bot can do a better job then a mod any day"

There you just pointed out a flaw in your idea. All a bot does it take the rules, it doesn't actually process the rules to certian situations.

It'd cause more problems, because a bot WILL mess up trust me.

But how would we make sure those rules would be followed?

Edit:

Blue I didnt mean to have it rude like that, I just said it would do a good job

What will new rules do if Claire - about the only one who mods MCG - doesn't enforce anti-spammage?

The rules could simply be followed by the current mods. I mean Im there all the time and i can easily check on posts and just warn members by pms and take it to the higher staff for them to edit or just report. Rules are meant to be followed, if not they have consequences, and if you dont wanna folow them then you abide by the consequences.

She does enforce the rules. She's one of the best staff members we have, not to mention one of the more active admins. She does look there, no matter what you think she still pays the same amount of attention to it as she did when she was a mod.

I never said i had more say then anyone, you guys aren't reading my posts.
And here so stop the fighting.
PokePalaceNet: i dunno even know what that whole thread is about
DarkSmokeyShadow: ok, mcg needs a mod basically.
PokePalaceNet: o
PokePalaceNet: well the staff is working on that.
he said leave it be, s-mods can ahndle it until the decide on a mod.
PokePalaceNet: in the meantime smods handle it
