So what if we want to talk in different languages? If most of the members of the club can understand it, I see nothing wrong with it. Funny how you're mainly going after me.
 
I'm not, I'm going after MF in general. It's just that your club is a big part of MF. While I might not care about postcount, it's quite annoying when people start racing for postcount. In other words, they start spamming up places like MF. Unlike DCC, MF has a set topic: the person who the club is for.

Thats a general purpose, not what the threads are about. A member lcub pertains to anything with the member, talking witht hem,or about things they like that sort of thing.

And once again, you're getting offtopic from the post count thing, this isn't an argument of the club meaning.
 
No, I was proving a point; why I think post counts should be turned off. And I just noticed something. Pretty much all of the people who have disagreed so far post a lot in MCG... ._.;

I rarely, if at all, post in MCG, and I disagree. You're just using this bash Jorge, and his club, basically.
 
Oh, so now we're starting with the whole Jorge-hating stuff, are we? >_>; I was hardly bashing Jorge, or his club, I was just pointing out that MF is full of spam and that's where people get a lot of their post count from. Don't go accusing me of stuff like that, especially after we just made up. ._.

Don't worry about this, everyone who disagrees has given perfect reasons why it shouldn't happen. </sarcasm>
 
Jorge, no offence, but your club's the spammiest one there. It's not only in your club though. If you check MF, just about every club is full of spammy offtopicness. Now, as I said before, would you care to provide GOOD reasons as to why you don't want postcount disabled?
 
Honestly, there isn't. It just isn't common sense to add another area with no post count. THen again the very same could be said about turning rep off.
 
Rep isn't the issue here. >_>; Please, I want to hear a good reason as to why MF should keep postcount enabled.

And I wanna hear a bad reason, aside from people are padding their counts. Spam is spam, so once the counts are gone, people can spam there all they want and yet as long as it doesn't add to thier count it doesn't matter right? There's no point to this.

This would have been better off in a PM to Steve either way.

Guess I'm being a bit of a hypocrite, eh? I'm sorry. I was just upset because of my friend, who is leaving PC. A bad reason? What you just said, people use it for post count. Oh well, majority rules. Feel free to close this.
 
I'm 1000% with Ty's idea. This was exactly what I wanted to start a thread about. Yes, As he said MCG is going well but the Members of the Fanclubs are certainly abusing the forum, misusing the posts and 50% of their Posts are very very Very Random, off-topic and Spam. Soon it might even Become another F&Games.. Please rec-consider this. Many members join so many clubs just to post random stuff all over. I can pin-point so many members who have gotten 50% of their posts like that and also Clubs which are being spammed regularly. If an Admin or Mod wishes I can PM him with names. And we do need an Admin's opinion here.

We've been discussing different mods for MCG, so don't worry it will receive its own mod soon

There's nothing wrong with MCG in general imo, but looking at MF once we have our mod the spam can be controlled better. As long as posts are directed towards the member then there's nothing wrong with them :/ if people are spamming while the member isn't online then ya, just report them. We hardly receive any reports from MCG MF regarding spamming (so do start reporting), and once there's a mod there it will be enforced more.

Turning off post-count is normally a final strategy, but since we have alternatives (the new mod and more reporting) and it doesnt happen in every club (most likely a select few) it's not worth doing at the moment.

Guess that would be a good solution to this problem. Hope you dont select a spammy mod BTW. Anyways Claire, members of one fanclub dont bother reporting a member of the same fanclub. Anyways People only visit the clubs they are members of, so thats the main reason you dont find much reports.I'll report a spam Post there i saw now.
 
Okies cool ^^ well i'll lock this up for now, and if the new mod and reports don't work then post count turn-off will be reconsidered ^^
