A PC CHALLENGE
Ya'll, s u m m e r is on its way for a lot of us, including myself. Some of you may already be on summer vacation too, but either way I've come up with an idea for the forum itself this summer.
If it's one thing I've noticed around the forum is activity change. One minute it's high, the next it's low, and bare in mind this is probably because there's something new for the board that's come out, or something DRAMA-ish or whatever. There's also the boards that are straight on dead, like DPPt and the GBA board. Each section can garner more activity if more people got involved here [including myself, and I'm sure a lot of you inactiverz as well]. So I'm setting little challenges.
[:] Take a board, any one that you may be interested in and try to come up with ideas, set em out and promote the section. Looking at an already active board? Contribute to it even still. Maybe set out events or competitions that relate to that board. Just be sure that they follow the rules, of course.
[:] Try to turn a very inactive board, active. Eh this can be hard, but try to get your friends here involved too!
[:] Who said friends can't be rivals? Challenge some of your friends to see who can make the most out of a section, be very imaginative and creative with discussions.
[:] Help out in CQ&F or Q&A stickies! Maybe your "rival" may compete with you to answer and help another out there first, and try to even make the best possible answer for the person and their question.
[:] Spring out ideas you might have to the moderators of their section. I know some of you may have ideas for a section you take interest in, and if so, speak to the mod about it (we really don't bite!). I'd say make sure your idea is kind of planned out before bringing it up though, and make sure it makes sense.
The bold/italic challenges are main ones I think would be the most challenging, but that's imo. Maybe try them all for the summer, but whichever one(s) you choose to do, I hope you do, I'd really like to see the forum heat up some more! Especially for the inactive boards, and boards you'd like to see activity rise in, do something about it! It's something I'll be trying for myself as well. ;)
