Sigs are way different then avys. XD
Sigs people just look at, avys are like something that makes you stand out. That avy has became a part of you. Like when you see my avy the first thing that will come to mind is me. It might take a few secs to find out it's not me if lets say Jake had it.

I'm one of the few people who actually bothers to look at the name instead of the avy. Although both can be changed, avatars are changed more often than names; that's why I prefer to identify members by their names instead of their avatars.
