I like Romeo and Juliet, but that's about it. Well, Macbeth wasn't bad, either.

The New Topic is Cheese. Cheese is good. Well some cheese is anyway hehe. Not that darn Goat Cheese hehe.
Cheese is okay, I guess...

There's always a milion posts in 2 minutes.

I had no problems on my English Final Freshman year because of Romeo and Juliette. Plus we watched both movies and got cool little booklets and crap.

PSHT, I'm a slow poster, maybe I oughta leave now that I've awakened the giant.

I'm not much into Russian Literature despite the fact that it's always appealed to me. Authors like Dostoevsky and Tolstoy and books like Crime and Punishment/War and Peace sound great to me, but I never have the time to read =/
Yeah, WnP looks like it's based on the Napoleonic wars, so it oughta be interesting.

Better than an ancient Russian domestic story, probably. XP
I'm confused, what's the topic?
We actually have a real topic, and that is books and other works of literature. WOOHOO!!!!

XD

RnJ wasn't that bad, and neither was 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'. That was funny.

Not just large advertisements but about clubs and stuff. I won't be in Brazil until february for Carnaval though.

I can't do Harry Potter for anything. I just can't.
Got it. So kind of a 'entertainment' thing, right?

Same here about the Potter thing.

Okay, I'm gone. I post too slow.

Mmhmm, it's just a matter of being willing to expand your vocabulary.
Meh. I like expandin' my vocabulary with stuff I REALY wanna read, like fanfics. *sigh* So many good online writers out there that nobody knows about or teaches ya about in class...

The only Shakespeare I've ever read is Romeo & Juliet and The Tragedy of Julius Caesar. I'm very interested in reading A Midsummer Night's Dream next, but for now I'm reading The Prince by Niccol? Machiavelli.

The Modern one, right? I love when they Modernize old stories, it gives it a new cosmopolitan twist, while sticking to the old story. Plus it makes it easier to watch, not that the Old European-ness isn't good, I'd love to watch it like that too.

Are you talking about the one with Leonardo DiCaprio? That one was rather creative...admittedly I liked it better than the 1960s version I saw in 9th grade.

I liked how Mantua was a trailer park :D

Meh. I haven't even seen tha movie... tch, I'll stick ta readin' fanfics for now. ^^;;

True, it was much better though. I think it's a requirement to do Romeo and Juliette Freshman Year, because Sophomore year, EVERYONE in English wrote about Romeo and Juliette all over again. I'll probably write about it Junior and Senior year too.

I hope we do more Shakespeare in AP English 12 this year...the kids end up hating it, and it gets ruined because the teachers make the kids read it in class (when they can't pronounce half of the words and read like robots), but it's still better than most of the drivel we read in english.

Claire Danes isn't even that pretty, there were plenty of other actresses who could have done the job better. She did a good job, I just think that her part was sort of..ehh, since most of the story revolves around Juliette since she is the main character.
