I'm not sure about those smaller states in the east.... hmm.

But, California's GDP per capita is like $45k-$50k.
Yay for small northeastern states. x_x We're small, yet overcrowded and somewhat wealthy...

We got a lot of money through the whaling industry back in the 1800's too. Now we get it from making... whatever it is they make at Pratt and Whitney. XD;

lol, I agree. All those southwestern states--with the exception of Florida are rather poor compared to the rest of country.

True and Chadwick's and JCPenney warehouses that dot New England like no tommorow o.o lol Not to mention there's a nextel place on every street where I live.

Chadwicks is only the best old lady clothes/bedroom decor store ever!!! Three of my aunts worked there, over the phone thingies. Now they all work at JC Penney and at banks.

I lived in Florida a while back, it is a lot better off then it is here, the people there are so rude though. ><

Thats how it was when I first got to America, rude people. My grandmother told my mother that she could always be "Sir/Madam" with people because some of them were just so rude. But then again, most Americans are very sweet and very proper and polite. In Portugal people were more accepting to things and everyone knew each other, even in larger cities.

I encountered some racism and other rude acts here in Canada as well.

I'm lucky I moved to high Portuguese area I guess, because for someone of European descent, I'm a little darker than the darkest... not to be confused with other nationalities of course.

That happened to my cousin, she's naturally tan, but she goes tanning anyway (it makes her look much better) but someone at our school insisted she wasn't portuguese, and wanted to fight my cousin because she talks "crap" about being portuguese. Thats stupid huh?

It veries everywhere you go I guess, it just depends on what/who your brought up around.

I suppose so, and all the serious racist kids I've met are cowards anyway. They cry for help after just taking a little pain or getting into a little accident.

Yah, same here, and I turned out all right. XD

Heya, guys, what's up?

Are we discussing statewealth, racism, or discipline?

?SilverBlaze09?

Parental disciplinatory violence? Never did any good to me. I got it a lot as a kid because I was very "naughty" and always caused trouble. My parents really weren't great, though not the worst.
