  • Well I have someone to take over this hack for a bit, his names "Hideki", hope you like the new co-owner.
    I'll send him the ROM tomorrow, he'll post the updates when he has some...

    Hey. Zeikku has let me take over SL64 until he has more time for it. I'm not as exprienced as Zeikku, but I have loads of determination. I'm sure Jake will give me a hand on anything I get stuck on.

  • Well, I do have the files and ROM backed up so I could, but try not to revive threads older than a month.
    Either way I have loads of textures to replace, and I need to remodel a lot of things..luigi being one..

    MODS, don't close this because I'm still deciding on whether I will be working on it.

    I guess I could beta test if you want.
    I have no idea how to hack Mario, so I'm no help here :(.

  • yeah, I've never tried running an extended Mario 64 rom XD
    it should work, I get loads of errors on my PC though but it works :D
    I need to figure out something about the models, because originally I wasn't gonna change a lot of them..
    but I think it's a coincidence this got revived when I was actually thinking about this yesterday lol!

  • i got a few ideas, if u care... :D

    1. I saw a youtube vid and it showed that there was an unused enemy in the game's coding (or whatever...), Blargg. Like the one from Yoshi's Story, if u played that. I don't remember what tool you use to put it in the game, but could the Blargg possibly be in it (sry if I'm asking too much...)? It could replace the Bully (small one), with a different ability, like it could blow fire at you, and you have to grab it and throw it into the lava to kill it. again, sry if i'm asking too much. :(

    2. Remember that green koopa you jump on to steal his shell? Maybe he could be red, or a Dry Bones?

    3. Have you thought about making it a little Luigi's Mansion-ish? Maybe the castle could be Luigi's mansion from the game of the same name? And the path to the castle could be Boo Woods like in said game? Courtyard could possibly be Graveyard where Bogmire was fought.

    sry to say so much, i don't want to be demanding, they're just ideas.

    This is the pokecommunity! why is a mario hack here?

    If you read the rom hacking section it sais all hacks pokemon or non-pokemon.

    Anyway I never thought anyone would make a non-pokemon hack so I can't wait for this to come out (It's cool that you know strrmmnn or whatever his name is because then maybe you could get it to work on Daedalus which would be triple cool)

    P.S.( I know this isn't related but is strrmmnn actully still making Daedalus 'cuase I'm waiting for R14 to come out(so far there are only beta versions of it)) Any way good luck Pounder Zeiku

    P.P.S. Add a hyperlink to the support banners so people actually know where to find the hack if they see the banner.

    nice to see that you decided to bring this back, i've been waiting alot for this and clear diamond.

    @ torferno:strmnnrmn has been mia for over 10 months, most likely he quitted on daedalus, but a new dev has picked up the project, so expect a new release soon ;)

    I think it's continued if you look at the posts Pounder Zeiku has made also he edited the first thread post quit recently.

    Yep, very limited, but in a good way, because there is less chance of breaking the rom..

    Erm....I can do all that stuff and change models...not exactly hard, I will be changing enemy behavior through hex..that may be a challenge, then I need to figure out how to change music..

    some instructions
    Turn this code on before the title screen. I have tested the PAL code on a real N64 but to get the PAL and NTSC code to work with Project64 you have to split the code in half and activate both parts. To do that, add a new cheat and copy half the code into it and then copy the bottom half into another new cheat; turn both halves on as if they were a single cheat (I have divided the codes for you):
    Whenever the game is not paused. use the D-pad left and right buttons to alter the GID value (in hex) which is the graphic ID, i.e., what the object to spawn should look like. To modify the behaviour value (in hex)-shown as BHV (BHR in NTSC version as there's no colourful V character)-use the D-pad up and down, and then press the shoulder left button to spawn the object at Mario's position (the code is very sensitive so it's likely that many objects will be created with a single press). Make sure you select the right values otherwise the game may crash-see this section about SM64 for values to use (you don't need the 1300); if you spawn too many objects the game will freeze
