Emerald hack: Super Mariomon

I can't figure out how to apply the patch to an Emerald ROM, cuz whenever I download the patch, it saves as a Floating IPS instead of a BPS

Edit: NVM, figured it out.

Not sure if I was the only one to find this, But it has been super consistent and has happened 4 times including both I my pc and my mobile devise. Basically after getting the 51st tm as soon as in try to use any tm the game crashes. I think it might have something to do with the og base only having 50 tm slots. I mostly was wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if there is anything I can do to fix it.

I think this is known. If one obtains too many TMs, they begin to act very glitchy. Oddly enough for me though, this eventually resolved itself when I got...even more TMs? In any case, I do think this will be fixed in the future. It's a pretty bad bug.

Different emulators might also have something to do with it, although I don't really know the specifics behind the bug outside of what you described. Your best bet is to remain patient, and rely on Move Tutors or just relearning moves instead.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the help, just a shame some of my mariomons really needed those better moves for the nuzlock, hopefully it gets solved soon

On the consideration of TMs, there was a point during my playthrough where, for whatever odd reason, my Captures would have their levels under/overflow to 37 whenever I attempted to teach them TMs from the TM Case - even just having the Capture's move replacement window up - around the Pit and forwards. Post-game seems to have fixed THAT particular issue, but yes, having something like
Spoiler:

probably doesn't do too good in the code base.

Not that the issue was too bad? The earned EXP remained intact, so they just leveled back up on an underflow any time they earned any EXP.

Idk if anyone has a similar issue but I patched the correct emerald rom but when I launch it it shows the copyright screen then just black. No sounds or input. Anyone have any ideas?

If you're on Android and is using My Boy then this hack won't work on it. GBA.emu (paid emulator) can run this hack, and I read this hack also works on Pizza Boy
If you're on Windows, you could try mGBA.

Stop using MyBoy in 2025. It has issues with modern hacks, especially decomp Emerald hacks. Use Pizzaboy or any other emulator that uses a mGBA core.

Como que faz pra jogar no mobile

Same way you play on PC, patch it and load it up in a supported emulator.

I just got pizzaboy and it works thank you for your help. I wasn't aware MyBoy was starting to not support future hacks

Is there a list of quests somewhere? I am missing 3 to start and I cannot find where they are. I am in the post game. One is in diamond city and the sprite looks like a capture, the other one says it is in bowser's castle as a toad and the 3rd is Luigi at mushroom hill. However, I defeated the elite 4 and Mr. L again. I completed the dex and I talked to him again and a new quest doesn't show up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is the one for Diamond City under that Toadsworth one? Also the Bowsers Castle & Mushroom Hill quests aren't implemented yet.

I downloaded this after watching Big Yellow's stream. This game rocks and I appreciate all the work y'all put into this!

For those on Android, the game will also run on John GBA. I haven't had any rom issues on the John emulators and I've been using them for over 10 years

Just posting to congratulate the devs and team for such an amazing romhack.

I had a lot of fun from start to finish, from beating the game and all the post-game content. I believe I did everything I could in the game, including getting all retro cheevos and reading all the trivia from Cannons. Can't recommend it enough!

Thank you so much for your hard work.
