Emerald hack: Super Mariomon

Sorry if this has been brought up before, but something I been noticing while watching a lot of playthroughs on Youtube got me wanting to ask...is there any plans for either the wild capture or regular trainer battle theme to have a more unique song from the other? Quite surprised both use the exact same one when there's quite a few Mario RPG battle themes to pull from in general. Just curious is all.

Custom music in Mariomon was something that was added very last minute when I figured it out ~August of last year. Before then, there wasn't even any plans to do it at all.

So basically, probably not. It's a miracle we even got as many songs as we did working and sounding good in game.
 
I dont't know why but when I enter the tall grass, no wild Pokémon (Mariomon) appears. But if you tell me it's because I have repellent on, I'll tell you no, because, I go to the bag and when I try it says repellent, it says what's in the image. And I've verified that no matter how much I walk, the message "Do you want to continue using repel?" or "If so, which one do you want to use?" doesn't appear.

I'm sure it's just my abysmal luck but I just want to check in here to confirm: Starters are *not* shiny locked, and soft resetting should work, right? I see the gender and HP changing so I'm confident Bob-Omb is rerolling, I just don't know if shiny is possible after nearly 2 weeks of resetting on my Analogue Pocket. It's sunk costs at this point I can't give up unless y'all tell me I was on a goose chase.

To be clear I know the FAQ answers this but I wanted to be sure there wasn't a bug or that bit of the FAQ was outdated. I'm confident I just have awful luck, I just wanted to be sure before I spent 2 more weeks on it.

Somehow got this "capture" in the pit. If you use it in the pit. it won't appear in the party, and it'll softlock the game if your usable capture faints (you can't select the other usable capture). 1.4.1 version, but seemingly no note of it being fixed on 1.4.2?[PokeCommunity.com] Super Mariomon

You have the Gadd Pel on, if I had to guess. It's in the key items.
 
An fyi, we're on a bit of a hiatus from Mariomon for now while we focus on other projects, like Too Many Types 2. Feel free to keep reporting any abnormalities (assuming you're on 1.4.2 and a supported emulator), and keep having fun! We appreciate all of you and it's been a blast to see everyone enjoy it. I just won't be checking back here as often to help or answer things for a bit c:
 
I'm fine with myboy. This is the only rom hack that doesn't work. It opens with the game freak screen then blacks out

And it won't work for MyBoy, because MyBoy doesn't work well with decomp hacks. Just cause you haven't had issues don't mean you won't, and doesn't mean others don't. There's a reason most ROM Hacks don't recommend it.

Use Pizzaboy or any emulator using a mGBA core
