What game style do you play in. I've never played in set (you get enough of that in real battling) but it definitely adds challenge to the game.

    I use switch.

During challenges or when EV training etc its just quicker and easier to use set, but during a normal play through I use switch mostly.

I use switch mostly but agree that set adds to the challenge.

I use switch on normal playthroughs. I'll probably try using set as a challenge later on along with using no items in battle.

What is switch and set? I've never heard of it before O_O

Switch and set are the battle styles. SWITCH means that before taking out the next pokemon, the game will ask you whether you want to change pokemon(It also tells you your opponent's pokemon.). If you use SET then you won't recieve a warning before the opponent chooses his next pokemon(alike the link and battle tower battles).

Thus SET makes the game a little more challenging. These options are available in OPTIONS in MENU.

    I only use switch.
I don't like to waste a turn switching in a pokemon.

I use set because that was the default in my Silver game so I just got used to it, I find switch just annoying.

Switch because pokemon games are crazy stupid easy now-a-days so whats the point in pretending it gets harder by playing on set?

It ACTUALLY raises the difficulty. But you have a point there..

Ah right! I never knew that XD I would prefer switch >.>

Set most of the time. (EV training happens a LOT.)

Switch isn't much of a challenge anymore so...

whichever Pokemon unlucky enough (usually lvl. 45 and below) to place itself in the first slot (I'm a sadist most of the time) has to deal with grueling battle after grueling battle...

DEFINITELY switch. I agree--it does challenge you a little more and it moves faster when you use set, but it's so much better if you know what's coming next and you get the chance to switch out your pokemon for one that will match up better. ^_^ That's what I think.

I always use switch, that way when the oppenent sends out a pokemon I'll be able to send out one of my pokemon that is strong against it.
