Tagboards, Forums, Guestbooks... etc

Nope.

Look at PV, see that little... white box to the bottom right? That's a tagboard. You can leave messages there. ^_^
 
Oh ok! I have one of those in my xanga. I never heard it being called a tag-board until now. Thanks Greg.
 
They're also often called shoutboxes or sayboxes. o_O

I had that when I had my Xanga site. It worked better than the guest book since no one posted in that. And the only e-mails I get are reported posts. So to get comments on my site chatter box worked best for me. I prefer forums since I had a forum before I had a site. But both are gone now.
 
Forums are good to hold long conversations on, you can't really do that with a tagboard (although I have to admit that the Patamon's Worlders try XD)
 
this is the one i used for my site cbox , is very easy to customised.
 
I think tagboards are the best because they're easy to use plus it simply makes your site look better. ^^
 
PJ, it depends whether you want a remote-host one or one that you install...
