Well for me, since I'm a girl, it is Ethan who is always saying this crap to me. He told me to take Ampharos to the Lighthouse. I did, and the only thing that happened is that it greeted Amphy. :( It was very anti-climactic. I have no idea why I have been fooled every time into doing what Ethan tells me, but it doesn't seem to do anything at all.

Yeah, I know the Amphy thing. Does it with flaaffy as well, found out totally on accident.

This thread only reminds me why I hate Lyra in the first place. She also says about her Marril evolving when it clearly hasn't.

We probably would have been beter off with out Lyra or what's his face. The poliwag probably enjoys the rain. But any water pokemon will enjoy the rain.

Lyra/Ethan's theme is epic. The characters themselves are nice, but you don't need to follow their every word. I barely do. =|

According to this page... Poliwag when you talk to it will 'swing (swung) its belly around'. Seeing there's whirlpools there and all and it has one on its belly.
