After school ended, Marilynne emerged from the room opposite the door, she took my hand, and exited the door where her parents were waiting. "Good job, you didn't escape. How's your first day of school, Jenna?" the woman asked.

"It was fine, no problem. I had some trouble with keeping up with the work, and I still don't know why I didn't get sent to the school next door." I answered politely.

"That's not for you to know. Rich peolpe go to highly ranked schools, and we people don't go to that school. Too many poor and undereducated people. They never do their homework. That good enough explanation? Going to that school costs alot of money." She replied.

Me and Marilynne exchanged glances, and continued walking..

I ended falling asleep below the tree. I had a weird dream, it was about my parents and the city where I lived. My parents were... worried. Worried about me... and there was... a police officer infront of them. They were talking about... something... could it be about me? I just heard the word 'Max' and I woke up all of a sudden. It was more a nightmare than a normal sweet dream. "what time is it?" I tried to check my watch, but I remembered that it was stolen when I was in some train? I looked at the sun, and it was slightly at the center of the sky. "it most be like... 1:15 PM already!" I yelled as I remembered Mary, and I got up, and started to run to the school.

Mary just smiled and waved her hand to the girl. "wow, I must leave too" Mary said to herself, as she got up and walked away from the school's yard.

"Wow."

Cathe's eyes gleamed with awe. She looked like a seven year old with her goofy grin and her teeming exhilaration. "This is where you live?" His home was twice as big as her and that was fairly colossal.

"No, Xaphanel, that's why it says 'Kakeru Estate' over there." Eric stated sarcastically, rolling his eyes. Really! Could she be any more idiotic?

He wondered why he even brought her here. They merely met a few minutes ago and now she was at his home. He couldn't figure out why he didn't just leave her alone outside, cold and hungry?

Oh, that's why.

Being a child born from a known prosperous family along with her childish attitude, he found it hard to leave her unaccompanied. He gazed at her and sighed. She looked far from a child of wealth, though. He then instantly brushed off his thoughts at the sound of her call and glanced curiously at the girl.

"What is it?" He inquired aloofly, gritting his pearly whites in annoyance. He tilted his head towards where Cathe was pointing at and rolled his eyes, exasperatedly sighing. "So what? You have butlers and maids, too, you know."

"Yeah, but not that much. Only like ten or twenty!" Cathe exclaimed lightheartedly, cheerily waving at all of them. "And I ask them to not wear those fancy uniforms. So I keep forgetting that they're our maids."

"You are so?" He held his tongue. Relax. She'll tire out, sooner or later.

Eric shot her a glare then faced one of his butlers, telling him to help her inside. He then asked his maids to ready a bath for her and a sleeping garment; it was getting late, after all. And he knew better than to let her sleep elsewhere.

"After Aki-kun shows you around, go follow the maids, Lisa-chan and Ino-chan. They will have a bath drawn for you and pick your night attire in the closet in the room you're staying at. Then go downstairs for dinner, be sure someone accompanies you since I just know you'll be lost." He stated domineeringly and briskly as he walked inside the mansion.

Cathe was left, head spinning in confusion. She was glad that the butler, Aki, explained everything Eric said slowly and more thorough.

"Master, Lady Cathe?erm, Cathe-chan?fell asleep already. We would just serve her a hearty breakfast tomorrow morning for her to regain her strength. And your necessities for tomorrow are all ready." Lisa, one of his personal maids, stated softly, curtsying at her master.

Eric, groaning, stood form his seat and nodded at the woman ahead of her. "Thank you." He said as he started to his room. "Tell mother and father, wherever they are, that she will be staying here for a while. It looks like she doesn't want to go home yet. She would be joining me in summer school as well." He was being impassive again.

"Goodnight."

Lisa breathed out a sigh. That would always be him; always acting calm and collected when a raging storm of emotions was brewing up inside him.
-=~=-
"Wakey, wakey~!"

It was early in the morning and, quite frankly, Eric didn't want to get up yet. It was unlike him, yes, but he was so exhausted yesterday, preparing everything that was impromptu for annoying Cathe.

"Give me a minute more." He mumbled groggily, raising his blanket to his cover his face.

"Eric-kun~! You're so late for your school thingy!" Cathe cried, shaking him frantically. "Late! Late!"

Eric's eyes immediately snapped opened and he scrambled off his bed, glancing at his wall clock. It was twelve thirty-seven already?great. He groaned cantankerously and leaped on his bed again. "Forget it. We skip school today." He muttered incoherently, gritting his teeth.

"Yay!" Cathe animatedly exclaimed, bouncing with ecstasy?as always. Cathe had always disliked going to school. Hearing that she had to attend summer school devastated her! She always loved meeting new people, though, so she finds going to school a ?tad- worthwhile.

"Nee, Eric-kun, can you show me around this town? I'd love to meet the people here!" Cathe inquired, breaking the eerie silence, as she continuously poked Eric. He, meanwhile, remained silent. His fists were already clenched a he was getting really exasperated by her, more so than before. He breathed out a sigh and nodded.

"Fine." He knew he would regret ever saying that.

Rachel tilted her head to the side and placed her pale hands on the fabric of her hips ?I?m trying to be nice here, trying to make friends, y?know and all you want to do is get away. I aint gonna bite your head off y?know, only trying to have a conversation, and besides, you just feel from a ledge, donchia feal dizzy or anything? Like you?re gonna pass out of something? You must have a lump or a bruise?

She wasn?t going to let him get away without a conversation, she was bored around here, and at least having a friend could give her some entertainment. It seemed to her as if she were going to be speeding some time with Kioni and his mother anyway, which reminded her that she had to get back before the kid returned home from school, knowing his kind of family, they would have a hole search party out looking for her.

?So what you in sucha rush for anyway, mate?? Rachel asked, examining her nails and biting off the uneven bits of white before replacing them on her hips ?Don?t tell me, you gotta get home before you?re mother gets worried or something, right?? She chuckled, poking fun at the teen ?How old are you anyway, thirteen, twelve??

?I better get a move on soon. I?m sure the kids dying to see me? she smiled inwardly ?Seems I?m warming to him already, and I only met him the other day?

(OOC-XD, Ok, I stand corrected XP)

"I'm fourteen." I muttered coldly, "I'm turning fifteen on the fifth of August, which if you were keeping track of time, would know that that's less then a month away.

"And I'm fine, if not a little exhausted." I assured her before turning my back to her. "Now if you would excuse me, I have to pick someone up from school." I glanced up at the vast blue sky. There weren't any clouds, and I could tell by the position of the sun that school would soon be out. "AND." I said, emphasising the word, "I don't live anywhere, and I don't have a mother, that's what I'm searching for." I then started to walk away, a little steamed now.

OOC: Gomen! This post is only so short cause I'm doing a 12-page French assignment at the same time. xx;;

(OOC- *Strangles Dai?s character* Talk to meh character!!!....men?.j/k XD)

Rachel snorted as the boy began to walk away and growled inwardly ?Hmph, fine, go then. Me trying to make conversation and he just walks off! Just like that? She sighed and kicked up some sand that had washed up onto the ledge during a light breeze ?Ah well, I better get back to that kids home, perhaps I can find some fun back there?with any luck, perhaps he has a video game or two?

She ran a hand through her still ruffled hair and took it away immediately, looking at the grime and dust that stuck to her hand ?uch? ?Perhaps it was the fact that I looked like a trash monster that drive the boy away.? ?I need a shower? She stated plainly to no one in particular ?And some new clothes and perhaps some new trainers too? She reminded herself looking down at her wrecked black trainers.

She began to walk in the direction the younger boy had gone off in just moments ago, strolling lazily with her hands stuffed into her pockets and her head lulling on her shoulders so that she looked up at the sky. The sun was slowly setting and she could already see a few stars emerging from behind a few white clouds.

?I hope Mrs K has some good grub brewed up? She stated, licking her lips ?I?m starved?

(OOC- No worries about the short posts Dai, mine aint much better)

"It's been nearly 30 minutes now." I said to myself. I was leaning against the low wall that served as the school boundry, and had been waiting for Kristen, but she never came. The ten minutes that followed were the longest minutes of my life, as a group of kids exitted the school, talking about a little girl with a stuffed cat who collapsed during her final class, and was taken home. I dropped the bottle of water I was drinking, and began running back to Kristen's house. Was she really in that bad of a condition? She looked fine in the morning!

About halfway to my destination, I collapsed to my knees as I felt a horrible type of pain in my head. A pain so horrible that I could not describe it. It then began to feel like my body was being slashed apart from the inside, but I fainted before anything further happened.

I woke up late in the night, still on the same section of the cold sidewalk I had collapsed onto earlier. I found that the pain had stopped, and got to my feet, before staring up at the sky. There were many stars that night, not a cloud in one's way. I suddenly napped back to reality as I remembered Kristen, and rushed back to her house.

I finally found it, and ran through the door, searching for her bed. This was my first time in her house, so I had no clue what I was looking for. When I finally found it, I found her lying in her bed, glancing up at the stars.

"David-kun!" she said before coughing as she noticed me staring at her from the doorway. "Sorry, I'm sure you waited for me for a long time."

"Don't worry, it's fine. Just make sure you get better, okay?" I said calmly, before turning to go up to the shrine to sleep. I didn't want to be discovered by her father, that wouldn't be good.

"David-kun..." she said, knowing I was going to leave, "I can barely feel my legs. I haven't been able to since I collapsed, woof." I had figured it out now, why she makes animal noises. It was to hide her sadness. My heart skipped a beat when she said this. Was this somehow my fault?

"Just go to sleep, it'll get better, trust me." I said before exitting the house, and beginning my climb up to the shrine. When I reached it however, I felt that pain again, causing me to collapse to my knees. Then, I felt something slash at my chest, but there was nothing there, before fainting once again...
