"Alright, alright," I said jokingly and hefting my staff. "I'm not much use in a fight, thought" I finished. Maybe they'd leave me alone.

Rose finally stood up and headed towards the village.
Once she got there, she caught a glimpse of some demonians.
No wonder its so quiet she thought, as she silently followed them to see where they were headed. They led Rose to a church, and it seemed to be some people might be in some trouble. Rose ducked behind a rock, and waited to see what was going to happen.

saphira inhaled. she closed her eyes and began to whisper a chant. suddently the demonians stopped. they grabbed at their mouths, trying to breath. saphira saw the confused looks on everyones face. "i froze the spit in their mouths." she replyed simply.

Rose felt a hand being placed on heer shoulder, and she was dragged to her feet. It was a demonian.
"Let me go you filthy, rotten....", Rose began, starting to struggle. Not knowing what else to do, Rose elbowed the demonian in the gut as hard as she could. He let go of Rose, giving her the chance to draw her knives. She jumped out from behind the rock, and turned around to run. But as she began to run, she tripped.
"Ow......", she said, sticking her knives into the ground and pulling herself up.

saphira saw one of the demonians escaped her curse. she ran over to help the girl. "are you ok?" she asked, shooting an arrow at the demonian. it bonced off his armor.

saphira shoot another arrow. she was getting desperate...

"Ya......thanks....", Rose said rubbing her head. "That really hurt......"
She picked up her knives from the ground, and threw one at the demonian, striking him in his neck.
"Uh.....that should take care of him for a while....", Rose said, forcing out a smile.

Finally I'd managed to pluck up the will to join in, just as Saphira's curse was wearing off. Demonians were amazingly resiliant compared to humans and this lot in particular it seemed. I brought forth what anger I could, focusing it on the group slowly advancing on the pair of humans. At the last instant I thought safe, I screamed "CHAIN LIGHTNING!!!" The force of the spell staggered me, cloak flying back even as it blasted holes in the chests of several Demonians, gaining in power with each succesive strike.

Rose ran over to the dead demonian, and pulled her knife from his neck, just in time to see a boy defeat several other demonians. It was quite impressive in Rose's opinion.
Now is my time to leave..., she thought, turning to run. As she ran through the village she spotted a basket of apples. Rose stopped, and grabbed the basket, and then continued to run.

I collapsed onto one knee, completly drained and panting like a dog in summer. Such a massive spell relied on my own life force to power it and I'd kept it up for too long. I started muttering to myself, saying "Funny, it never seemed this bad when dad did it."

Once Rose made it out of the village, she sat down and placed the basket of apples on her lap. She quickly picked one up and began to eat it. She was pretty used to being hungry, but she had never gone a day without food or water.

Breathing hard, I hauled myself to my feet, determined to do my best to fix what damage I could. Fires were running rampant on the other end of town, which I marked as my first destination. It was a short walk, but in my condition it took a good 45 minutes. When I got there, I saw something that made my heart all but stop.

Once Rose finished her apple, she pushed the basket aside, and turned her attention to her hand. It was bleeding badly. She didnt know where she had got the cut, but she was guessing the demonian had done it. She pulled a rag from her pocket, and wrapped it tightly around her hand, flinching slightly in pain.

I walked in a daze to the prone for on the ground, still holding two wooden weapons. when I got to the figure, I closed my eyes in shock. I'd never agreed with his choice, but no one from the Silverhand family deserved this. After leaning down and closing my brother's eyes, I ignited his body (as was proper) in preporation for his burial.

"You've got to be kidding me!" I said out loud as I stood before the former seal.

The problem was the fact that this whold entire electrified cave had this one seal...the same seal that was torn into two during the merge. If that were to happen, the elemental spirit could literally be anywhere withinthis cave.

"This piece of crap!" I said. "How am I supposed to power the darn rheaird?"

Just as I said this, another electric pheonix appeared in the corner of my eye. Crap, I was out of food and supplies already. Pulling out the cards of water, I rushed the pheonix. The first was an aerial attack by me, slapping the electrified bird down to the ground. Jsut as it was about to get back up, I furiously attacked with card shots (they were flying all over the place in front of me). However, this was still taking too long, and I was getting tired from combo attacks...I knew there wasn't much time before I have to break this.

"PYRE SEAL!" I screamed.

A large sphere fo cards appeared in front of me, causing the bird to be knocked back, out of commission for a short period of time.

"Man. Some tough bird. Won't go down even with a fury," I mumbled.

Blood seaped through the small rag wrapped around Rose's hand. She sighed, and tried her hardest to ignore it.
I'm not going to need these apples Rose thought, standing up. She cluched the basket in her hand, and headed back towards the entrance of the village. It looked terrible, the demonians had probaly done a good job trying to destroy it. Rose walked over to where she found the apples, and put the heavy basket back. Blood dripped onto the dirt, but Rose still ignored it.

I didn't even notice the girl but in a hidden corner of my mind, so focused was I on the remains of my brother. I'd torn a strip of cloth from the family cloak and cleaned the fastener from it befor I'd burned the body. After digging a simple pit for the ashes, I put them in and filled the top in, jabbing the twin sabers into the earth in an "X" shape, knotting them together with the cloak and putting the fastener back on. As I got back up and turned to leave, my tears stained the earth, blurring my vision.

Rose stood there thinking, and finally sat down, now paying attention to her injured hand. She removed the blood stained rag from her hand, and looked around her for a new one. She finally stopped looking and continually slammed the back of her head against the hut behind her.

It took the sound to finally jolt me from my revire. I spun around, annoyed at the disturbance until I say the bloodstained rag on the ground and the still bloodier hand. Smiling through bloodshot eyes, I walked over and said as calmly as I could "That needs to get treated. Would you accept my help?"
