I found legendia better than abyss actually..D8 It just depends on taste.
 
Really? I couldn't even get through Legendia; it just didn't sit well with me. I didn't like the character designs (or the characters, for that matter), or the music, or the graphics, or the battle system... I just didn't enjoy it. :|
 
Hmm..well...I liked it. the main storyline is fine, but the character quest rule. The only problem is that the "dubbers" thought that it was optional and didn't add voice overs. D8

but yes, it was my favorite so far, one. the main character FINALLY uses somethiong other than a sword. two. He is not an Idealist. Even at the end, he's still not one, just a bit nicer to strangers.. =)
 
I'd like to try out Legendia and Abyss sometime, but I don't have a PS2.

I just got TotW, and I love it. It's a bit different, but sometimes that's a good thing.

I'm hoping to start playing Destiny, I just remembered that I had it, haha.

I'm a sucker for the idealist main characters, sadly. xD; Senel was funny, but in the little bit that I did play through, he still bothered me a lot. D: I'll probably only finish that game if I'm playing through it with a friend so they can keep me on track with it.
 
Trust me, he gets nicer...just...he still willing to kick some behind if you make him made...

Oh. The character quest though, they are hilarious. Every time you start a new one, A character goes to wake Senel up and since he sleeps like a rock, they have to do something drastic..D8 Will slapped. Moses's wolf Giet almost bit him and Shirley just drags him out. The funniest one is with Jay though...apperently Senel slept through an earthquake..D8

If we're still going with this idea, I guess I'll take Destiny (just started playing, but haven't had much time lately), and Leon Magnus. Actually, Kratos is my favorite character, but it seems that way with most people too.
 
I just played a little of Symphonia with the eng voices (it's been so long). Ugg I'm not used to them at all anymore. Raine, Genis, Lloyd and Presea are okay. Regal and Sheena are good. Kratos wasn't there so I can't say. Zelos was annoying. And Colette.... uuuh what have they done to her?!! She lost all her personality. Holy Judgement (my fav move in the jp version) has become so boring T_T
And why do they speak so slowly? XD

I'm not surprised, usually, you get used to the first voices you hear.
 
But, the 1st I've heard were the english ones!! I have beaten the game at least 20 times with them. And I'm only on my 2nd playthrough in japanese (I just got it recently) XD

too bad youtube only allows 10 minutes, is it split into parts like when I used to watch naruto on youtube?
 
I do that too. xD If I play or watch something for a while in a different language...it doesn't matter how long I played the first, I'll only be used to the second.

I assume the same will happen for me with ToS. Either because of the animation, or from playing the Japanese version. :|
 
No, what I meant was youtube only allows videos to be 10 minutes long. i'm assuming the ToS thing is more then 10 minutes long.

so they'll split it into ten minute parts-- so if it was an hour

part 1 - first 10 mins
part 2 - next 10 mins
part 3 - next 10 mins
part 4 - next 10 mins
part 5 - next 10 mins
part 6 - last 10 mins

for naruto it was only 2 or 3 though =]
 
I always find japanese dubbing better, no matter what version I've heard 1st XD
But I did have some difficulties getting used to japanese Lloyd and Kratos at the beginning, but now I adore them (especially Kratos).
But what I find funny, is that they speak so slowly in english, esp compared to the jp version, where they talk really fast.
Oh, and non voiced Zskits are so strange...
JP version wins =)

And the OVA is soooo great!! =D

Mithos > one ep is 30 mins, and it'll be cut...
personally, I prefer watching on Dailymotion, better quality ^^
 
Yeah, it should only be two or three parts when you look for it.

Anyway, yeah, I'm having problems adjusting to Kratos and Lloyd's Japanese voices. XD They're my favourite characters, so maybe that's why. But I absolutely adore Colette's voice in the Japanese. It's so much better and I'm liking her a lot more because of it, I think.
 
Yes, she gives much more feeling in japanese. Especially during the battles. Try playing both version for a battle each, with Colette! We barely hear her in english; in japanese we only hear her XD
I love her "yaa, hei", so cuuute =D
And Holy Judgement is adorable in jp ^^
I love Nana Mizuki, she's a great seiyuu, and good singer. And she's very cute.

Lloyd and Kratos are difficult to adapt to, because they're so different from their eng version.

Earlier I said that you would usually be used to the first voices. I guess I was wrong, I said that because my friends are always used to the first ones. I usually like the Japanese dubbing better myself.

Also, I was playing Destiny yesterday, and found out the characters' voices were kept in Japanese. I'm so happy!
 
Zomglolwtfomgz! I never noticed this club before.

I like Tales of Symphonia (even though I'm terrible at it). I've also read a little bit of the manga.

I can usually adopt to a voice so I don't mind either of them (I just want my freakin Kratos..D8<) But it took me about three times to watch the special in order to get used to his Jap. voice because I heard the english one first. =(
