Here is where you can discuss both the Red Gyarados and the long-awaited first appearance of Lance in "Talkin' 'Bout an Evolution."

    My review to come forthwith.

    Is this a joke, just curious? >.>;;

It had Lance, Sebastian, and Tyson so it must be good!

    Eagerly awaiting your review.

Nopie no joke!!! Teeheehee It is all real!!! Charaxes does this every week. Teeheehee

Well I have to say that I just LOVE Lance!!! Teeheehee I don't know why but I think it is the cape. Teeheehee He looks so coolies with that cape. teeheehee

Well I have to say it was coolies to see this episode. Another look at Team Rocket at their worse or in this case their best. Teeheehee I really thought it was one of Team Rocket's best plans and seeing more characters from the Elite Four was nice which also shows they do more then just battle people. Teeheehee

It's pretty much the final big operation for the Team Rocket org in-series (not counting the special), so I got to savor this.

The plot is straightforward, but well-paced, as everyone had their moment (the Rockets, the brats, Lance), with plenty of action sparsed within. Bonus points for additional continuity from the Crystal special (Eusine was the first character, Sebastian is second), which was unexpected. One has the sense they really tried, here.

And Eric Stuart did a rather decent job as the monotoned "pointy" scientist. Not what I expected as I thought on the spoilers 5 years ago, but no complaints. No, that will be next episode.

Then, there is Lance. After how many episodes/seasons, we finally meet him. While Wayne Grayson may not have been the right choice, but he did alright. Frankly, in his case, it's the character, not the voice.

As for Tatsumi's/Tyson's voice, it is what it is.

Of course, I can't forget about the Persian statues. Hee.

This was a pretty good episode, finally some decent pokemon to see!

in fact, have no idea about it

teeheehee Well this is just us talking about the old episodes. I mean the pokemon show is actually pretty old. Teeheehee

Teeheehee I should have known you would have enjoy the Persian stautes. Teeheehee They did a very good job in anime-izing that place. teeheehee

It was supposed to be the TR base in Mahogany??? Whaaat, I never realised that!

Everytime I hear that scientist I think of Snape from Harry Potter XD

Board ate my first reply, so let's try again.

Well, both the Red Gyarados and Lance were the big allusions to that, while the statues were supposed to be the minor one. Usually, when I think Mahogany, I think the Rocket Executives, but wrong continuity, since Giovanni is still in power.

That, and catching the Electrodes. Heh.

Anyway, Sebastian does have a fanbase, but not as huge as Snape's. However, if he had a few more episodes, you might be surprised. Hehe.

    Teeheehee Isn't it obvious? Teeheehee

For me I could have told it was that base because of the Persains statues and well the Red Gyarados. Teeheehee Also the fun I had catching Electrodes. So coolies. Teeheehee

I never notice they were alike. I guess I should hear his voice again. I know I just watch the fifth Harry Potter movie so I guess I can make the comparision. Still it seems like Sebastian doesn't get much air time compare to Namba. The last time we saw Sebastian was in a cameo for Movie 9, you know the one with the Manaphy.

Well, there was plenty to work with: the Rage candy bar, the radio equipment/transmisson (which the anime did employ), the Murkrow in the Boss' office -- pick one? Heh.

Well, we don't know Sebastian's Japanese production notes, so I can't say Snape wasn't part of the original character design. The episodes were animated late 01/early 02, so it's kinda possible.

Meanwhile, yeah, Namba gets all the glory, and I'd say the women, too, but we don't have any female Rocket scientists (yet). Heh.

Sebastian is like my second favorite character. Sadly though I forget what his English voice sounds like. I can't find the dub of any of his eps anywhere since PUSA decided to go all 'omg copyright violation' on us. >.>

Namba does get all the attention, but at least Sebastian and the silvers aren't losing to the twerps as much.

His voice is scarily similar to Snape in the Potter Puppet Pals. It really, really is

Aww I'm so bad at noticing stuff. My excuse is the first time I saw this episode was last summer when I got my Master Quest DVD box sets, so GSC was completly out of my mind.

Were *all* of those in this episode too? I don't remember the Murkrow or Rage Candy Bar at all...

    I'm amazed, too....

Don't worry; I'm often non-observant, as well. Or I catch the small items, and completely omit the completely obvious. Facepalm.

Actually, I was mentioning all the possible game elements the writers could have used -- the Murkrow and Rage Candy weren't there in the episode, at all. Too bad, though.
