TCG Daily Chit Chat

I couldn't go to a prerelease. But hey...not long until Guidpact comes out anyway.

What the heck La Jinn support cards? O_O;

Wind support is always good, but then have to be careful about Ancient Lamp's effect. Most of the time you will only activate the effect once, and it needs 2 monsters on the opponent's side of the field both faceup at least. Ah more cards to abuse in flip flop control decks. So much for Cyber Dragon-Don Zaloog classical attack-tag-team now =3
Apparently yes.

Ancient Lamp may give La Jinn a little bit more play. It is better off by it?s self though. If it was level 2 instead of 3. It would have extremely gained play in a Nepthys deck. Searchable by Apprentice Magician and can redirect the attack of a D.D Assailant or D.D Warrior Lady to protect the Phoenix would have made it a splashable card.

The sneak peak is on February 18-19. Then it will be released in the next copy of Shonen Jump about 2 months later. So the playability of this card seems to depend on the April ban list.

Lamp sounds similar to the card's effect from the show. Only it?s not a spell card and La Jinn can be destroyed. I think they should've released this in the second Kaiba deck, but that?s my option.

True on that fact. It would have been better released that way and Shrink as the promo. Due to the fact it was in the Kaiba deck. Since the last promo was 2 monsters, 2 traps, so it should have been 2 spells. But it?s a monster. ;-;

But I?m not sure if I should believe UDE on this.

Dude Ancient Lamp is awesome. I'm actually going to make a deck around it.

Shrink is comming out in a set, not a sneek peak. It changed from what Zai said from what I heard.

Shrink is a card from the Kaiba Character deck. But those aren't being made anymore.

Shrink is not a promo and the Sneak Peak cards were promos. Many are not sure of the card. I heard it from a UDE member that it may be the Lamp though. Like Like I said. Many are not sure. Like the hearing of Shrink.

Then agian. UDE is tricky sometimes.

My imformation was wrong. I got it from Pojo.

Is anyone going to any events?

I'm more surprised about Time Seal... O_o; And I thought that at least froggie can be at 2 and not 1...

Their plan. To kill Victory Dragon OTK's. Just banning the main card would have would just done it alone."Victory Dragon". It's just like last format with Goat Control. They will never learn.(Konami and UDE)

They killed just about every tier 1 exepct Gadets.

It seems they want to kill every OTK but they are not really doing a good job at it. They are just really looking at other types that are tier 1 or 2. Frog Control, Mearchant Pot Trubo, Gadets, etc. That is always a problem with the ban list.

The semi restriction list is what I agree with the most, but they should have really put more focous on the restriction list. Pot of Avarice never deserves a restriction to 1. Mabye but 2 but 1 is overkill. It is needed for MPT but it would have maye been better to just put a restriction on The Tricky or Chaos Sorceor. Frog Contol saw this comming by a long shot. >__>

Not everyone outside of the OCG be sure of the meta. But the banlist seems to sum it up.

I like the list, but a bit more though into it instead of just killing tier 1.

Like what I've said before... whenever Konami declares war on a certain deck type, anything with the slightest relationship with that deck will be completely destroyed. They'll rather kill first, and analyze later.

For every deck that *deserves* to be killed, 5 other innocent tier 3 decks die along with it. If Victory Dragon is gone already, is there a need to ban Time Seal as well? Poor Wave Motion Cannon-OTK has sacrificed itself for no apparent reason now...

=/

When you kill a main source of power, kill the backup because they "may" come and take their place.

That quote relates to the ban list. Konami/UDE

Let's use our good friend Goat Control. If goat, TER and Tsukuyomi are down to one, what can metamorphsis and magician of faith do alone? They can at most pull one lockdown off, and two if they got the recursion for the TER afterward, but that's severely weakening Goat Control already. Surely they could have let Magician of Faith lives to support Phoenix/Dark Magician, and let Metamorphsis be off with Cyber-Balter deck...

That is the best example of it. What would anyone like to be banned/unbanned or restricted on the list? >O

With only a month left, it's not unreasonable to start guessing...

not getting the Cyber End Dragon stuff...it's like the BEUD with Dragon's rage >>
is it just cuz the Cyber Dragons are so easy to summon under certain cercumstances?...either way why ban Cyber end when you can only use one?...nvm actually, figured it out...those fusion subs >>...wait but then the other 2 would...ah meh...these guys are being way too picky...

ah well, Witch fans might be happy

CED is just that I have to choose between either cyber stein being banned, CED being banned or machine decks remain screwed over (except Cyber Dragon and Ancient Gear deck) due to the lack of limiter removal =/ Decks such as VWXYZ (or just XYZ without the VW) really needs the limiter removal, and limiter removal is only restricted because they're afraid of Cyber Stein CED megamorph and/or limiter removal all together...

I couldn't think of a way to justify the removal of limiter removal from limited except to just ban the thing =/ Cyber End and Cyber Twin really needs "this card can only be fusion summoned" then everyone would be happy, including BEUD (because it won't be deemed useless anymore by Cyber Stein, who'll always prefer CED over BEUD.)

......0_o...Reflect Bounder & Limiter Removal unlimited!!??????

NEVER!!!!

Seriously, this is a lousy list...Tribe back...? Mirror Force? Unh-uh. NEVER.

Worst of all, WITCH IS NEVER COMING BACK!!!!! As much as I hate to admit it, it's way too powerful.

We have Waboku and Kuriboh to negate the Cyber End Dragon OTK.

Frosty: I told my opinion to you in a MSN convo which was 3 hours >_>

Ichapokemr:Reflect Bounder is a bit risky in some ways.

I made a banlist somewhere, I just need to find it.

How's Mirror Force more powerful than Torrential Tribute in anyway that one is banned yet the other isn't? You can force activate your own Torrential Tribute by summoning a Sangan, then wipe all of their field clear. Torrential can destroy monsters upon summoning. It is more flexible than Mirror Force because it can be activated outside of battle phase. Mirror Force has the advantage that it only destroys opponents' monsters, but it is much easier to be disarmed in comparison to Torrential Tribute. Either both are gone, or both are limited to 1, and people probably want both of them to stay.

Bounder is an automatic -1 in card advantage, and a -1 for field presense too. Reaper can run into him and not die, basically using 1500 LP to clear your monster. If it's a tomato, then it's even worse... ram into bounder to receive damage, clear your field, call out the don to take out your hand next time. You see how this thing is pretty flawed? Back then there's no other light monster so it's relatively powerful. Now that we got some options for light food that doesn't say "-1 me or more at the cost of LP!" we can really bring him back.

How's Tribe that strong if there's no serpent to abuse it? It's a constant -1 if you want to use the effect, and we don't use Lightning Vortex for a reason... Tribe is basically a weakened Lightning Vortex that can be reused and also contribute to field presense. As long as there's no infinite fuel, tribe should stay.

Witch can search for a lot, but most of the time it'll be searching for tribute monsters, which really need some help. No one plays tribute because "OH MY GOODNESS THAT'S ANOTHER -1" well we can solve this problem if we have more powerful tribute food, like sangan and witch. If we succeed in getting rid of the broken stuff so witch can't search for them and forces witch to search for the proper stuff, then witch isn't that bad at all.
