INTRO
Hey everyone, I'm Blazikong. You guys can call me Blaze for short. I would like to focus some of my time on creating a Pokemon hack. I haven't decided anything yet. When we get 5 hackers to join us, we will start! I hope to make this a good experience for everyone on my team, and a fun one too. This will become a casual job, so relax, 30 mins. of commitment a day is fine.

About Myself
I am a second timer here at Pokecommunity, and since I started playing Pokemon, I always wanted to develop a hack of myself. I have game developed in RPG MAKER XP, so I know the effort it takes into developing something great. I have tried Pokemon hacking, and I worked on some mini projects before, but lets say that did not turn out as well. I will be the team organizer, I will be responsible for recruiting members, how we work together, which jobs belong to which person, ect. I do not have much skill for hacking so I would like a co leader to help me out.

IMPORTANT:
This will be a team commitment, everyone's ideas will be considered, we will decide the name of our game, the plot, and characters all together.

How Patch Rotation
First everyone, will recieve the first ips patch and job. Every time all our additions has been compiled into one file and checked/recieved by leader, probably in a week or two, a new update will be posted on our forum, allowing you to obtain the new ips file to patch and do your job. Each member will have their own job.

Hey guys, lets start thinking about our first project. Anyone have ideas? Since it's our first project, should we go for a sideshow project, or something bigger?

I've always wanted to create a classic Pokemon-type game (gyms, e4, etc) with a new storyline and new characters. But I'm good with anything.

Cool, that's my plan. We can't really get more complicated then that, atleast not for my skill level.

Update:
I've been editing Pokemon FireRed (my go-to rom to hack)
I changed the intro pokemon.
Changed starters
Edited some elemental moves to make them stronger
Edited trade pokemon to make them evolve instead.
Going to:
Edit trades and ow sprite.

Yeah, something like that. Like the rotation system that I told you before, we should rotate week by week. The first week is spriting and tile inserting. While the tile specialist collects good tiles, in the first couple days, the sprite artists work on ow, pokemon and trainer sprites. The last days are when the tilers come in and insert the tiles. Then, the second week would be for mappers. They create and connect the first couple towns. The last week or 2 is for scripters. They create all the events and text. Of course, between each week, it needs to be checked by the team leaders of each group and the leader. We transition from each member to the next by uploading your ips files. That way, we all each of a purpose, and you also get weeks to relax. Then, the cycle repeats.
I'm done working on the hack today.
You guys can PM me some story line ideas for the next idea. Make a 8-12 sentence summary. Make sure the storyline isn't too complicated for the scripters.

What were you thinking of? An idea of mine would be to let each team member design their own gym/gym leader. That would be pretty sweet. Just an idea though.

Same! Maybe have the members dedicate the gymleader to their self or their friends or family. The gymleaders will still have to follow the same plot.
I was thinking about Pokemon Reheat, a fire type base game. The plot could be how fire types used to make up most of the world and dominate. Then the legendary Pokemon Mew, used all its power to summon all the non fire remaining Pokemon at that time,to gather on the summit of the northernmost part of the world, the coolest part of the world. They devised a plan, and using their wits, they won the greatest battle of their time. The fire Pokemon agreed to "cool down" and from then on, all the types of nature, water, fire, grass, etc... came to balence. Now team ____ has decided this balance should end.

Any of you guys want to help me expand that plot? Go ahead and register for this hacking team!

How about MegaArcanine? I know thats not a legendary, but it would be cool! Thats only the prologue though, I posted other story on the thread.

I don't think that mega arcanine would be nice, (and if we are doing fire red hack, that would be hard to do) I think moltres would be a nice idea, and we could do something that his brothers, zapdos and articuno, helped mew to stop the fire Pokemon

I haven't mapped for Pokemon in a while, but I have been making more complex maps for a different game, so it shouldn't be too hard.
