Team Destiny

I understand that, its just they come in with a team of grounds to take out the elec, and the lose to the water, that just doesnt seem fun to me. Id much rather have something that could turn the tides against someone who would bring only waters against me. But hey its just an Idea, Ive been doing fine with 6 Fire-types, I would like the type rule changed but, I dont need it changed.

SoIll just leave it to you and the other execs.

If someone is stupid enough to do that, then they lose. End of story. I think I shall keep the rule for now.

Please stop bringing it up. I understand, I do, but this is quite enough.

So I suppose the whole Master Facility idea is what we will go with unless a better concept shows up.

What if we had the final executive be a final challenge, but the challenger has to use the team they used to defeat the last facility?

This would be just like the facility with an extra person, although the extra person is in every facility in a sense. This would prevent a challenger decimating the final executive with a custom team; and perhaps make the challengers think harder about what order to challenge the facilities and what teams to use, etc.

A good friend of mine suggested that today. And it is a good idea. It also bothers me, however, because it does fall back on one facility just having two executives instead of one. Even if which that happens to be is a variable. My response is less rational as it is an expression of a sort of "that bugs me" feeling. Vague and indistinct discomfort with the idea.

maybe we should ask the 5th executive on their opinion about what we should do

ahh i see and mind if i ask who it is? sorry if you already posted it and i missed it

I wonder if it would help if I add a story or something to it.

Say when you defeat a facility, you get 1/4 of a teleportation mechanism (we do work with dark science after all) and each time you collect a piece, you are able to regroup because the machine isn't complete yet. However, as soon as you obtain the last piece, you are instantly transported to the final arena which is the final Executive's room. With no chance to regroup, your team remains the same.

I like that idea...
Its creative

I would just stash the pieces in separate bags without putting them together, then regroup. It is very creative, though makes little sense. I have no doubt you could patch that hole and more- but the concept itself bothers me somewhat; not the story. Maybe I will do that. I am just not sure.

Nothing really has me certain. I am going to remain open to suggestion.

sounds good and on another note is it just me or has Rychard Lynch dissapeared?

He posted exclusively the first day he received his position, vanishing thereafter. He has not even responded to my private message. Another week of it, maybe less, and Mukkamoto shall be taking his spot as the Water Executive. She is exceptional and deserves it. That is, of course, given two prerequisites: that she is active and thus not falling to the very same problem we have with Lynch, and that she can pass the test other Executives have passed. I have confidence in that.

She will also need to take Skythur on for that spot after it is all said and done. Which is a tough call.

Well of course we know how to foil our own plans, we are evil geniuses. :classic:

I believe I already have found the adhesive to patch said hole,
but since it really isn't productive in conveying the point, I'll give it a rest.

I might use your idea. I really could.

It is just not something which makes me immediately certain.
I am still looking for suggestions.

What if you were to remove executives from the different "gyms" and just place them all into their own gym? It loses the theme of an evil organization with fighters and higher-ups in control... but commanders are in no way grunts and ideally should be able to handle themselves.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, that creates a gym leader E4 pattern like every other league...

Three facilities of four Commanders each, followed by a facility of Executives? I had not even thought of that.
Another good one. Another one that leaves me unsure.

Keep these coming, everyone. This is good. We are being productive.

Ok here's another thought. Not a suggestion but just a thought.

@Executive Hanged

Some of the ideas you didn't like because they singled out other battlers as being exclusive or elite. But let's face it -- that's exactly how it should be. If it's a great idea, then by all means I think it should be used. I wouldn't be offended because I know my place as a commander and as a trainer among commanders. I fully acknowledge and accept that I'm not as good as some of the other commanders and definitely not as good as the executives, it's just the natural pecking order. (Or is that Peking order)

In fact, being considered lesser only makes me want to work that much harder to become better. Therefore I think that a system of slight inequality would be beneficial to all parties.

I think in this case you're working way too hard to be fair, which is made quite the challenge since there is an odd number of players in the league.

It's pecking order.
Spoiler:

And I shall take this into consideration.

Now where are the grunts in this whole thing?

Maybe grunts could be used in one of the facilities instead of commanders. The best executive would reside there, keeping the scale fairly balanced. Also, since grunts aren't restricted to a type it would be harder to strategize against this facility.
