They will be involved in the plot for the evil team. I think we should have all 8 gym leaders, just different people/types.

Some ideas: All pokemon that evovle with trading could be changed because you can't trade with hack games ( I think ) and I liked the Figthing, Psychic and Dark starter types I have found some other to myself, mainly Ice, Rock and Ground. (Rock beats Ice, Ice beats Ground and Ground beats Rock )

By the way the gym types are as follows:

Gym 1-4 will remain the same (Rock,Water,Electric,Grass)
Gym 5 will change from Poison to Steel
Gym 6-7 will remain the same
Gym 8 will change from Earth to Dark

yes, sound good, but have you played ruby destiny reigin of legends?
there you could battle blaine and Surge, but you didn't get a badge for it, only a TM.
The gyms of johto/ hoenn could be like that.
Also, Blaine should have retired

I plan for the gyms to have an equal ratio of 4 male and 4 female gym leaders.

As For Leaders:
Gym 1 - Will Change
Gym 2 - Misty
Gym 3 - Will Change
Gym 4 - May Change
Gym 5 - Will Change
Gym 6 - Sabrina
Gym 7 - Will Change
Gym 8 - Will Change

Great Job with the maps, we may need to make some steel themed tiles for Olvine gym or it would seem to similar to the rock gym, by the way will the trainers in the gym be battled or just talk to the player?

Never mind that last part. Nordic, I think Olivine has a few more houses than that, if I remember. I finished Route 23 (I think that's the name). Now working on Route Two. Also, if we're having new gym leaders, we need a spiriter to insert new sprites.

Good plan, are almost finished with ecruteak city and the routes around it (route 36 and 37)

And the trainers in the gym battle you, either there or in the lighthouse( like in pokèmon heartgold and soulsilver)

And I have checked with the original Olivine, it isn't more houses.

Also, instead of moving Jasmine, you could travel to Olivine City and beat her there.

Guys, what level should the gyms be?

I was thinking:

Gym 1 - MAX Level 15
Gym 2 - MAX Level 22
Gym 3 - MAX Level 28
Gym 4 - MAX Level 33
Gym 5 - MAX Level 38
Gym 6 - MAX Level 43
Gym 7 - MAX Level 47
Gym 8 - MAX Level 50

Yeah. I think each leader should have one Pokemon from each region, at least. I mapped one of the secret bases in Viridian, and a new house, but can't get into the new house I mapped. I also attempted to map Route 2 and edited the Pokemon found in the forest.

I had an idea about about Mt. Moon (and Cerulean Cave). Instead of the Rockets being there, miners have been mining natural resources for years, and the cave is almost barren. Miners are still mining today, and some trainers come through there, but the ski lift to pass over Mt. Moon (what most trainers do these days instead of the dangerous journey through Mt. Moon) has been hijacked by Team Rocket. (Plot twist could be inserted here) Team Magma, like Team Rocket, has also been hiding, but in the Cerulean Cave. Nobody knows about this because its nearly impossible to go in there without being mauled by high leveled Pokemon. Team Magma has dug to the center of the Earth searching for lava, secrets, fossils, fuels, anything. But they come upon the Evil Legend (maybe)
