Hey,
I think that you guys should check out some spriting tutorials for scratch pokemon. They should be in the pixel art forum. Also, look to some original sprites from the games to help as a guide. Ex. If you want to make a feline paw, check out persian, meowth, skitty, delcatty, glameow, purugly, liepard, luxio, ect. Then, you can mimic both the shape and shading to make the fakemon more professional-looking. If you still have problems, try fusing pokemon by copying body parts of pokemon and pasting them together. You will at least have the shape down by doing that, the shading you still may need to advise a tutorial. I hope this helps!
