Hey everybody. Well, I've been helping with other peoples hacks as a spriter, and I thought I'd try my own hack idea. It will be called Pokemon Reality, a hack of Ruby. Here's the story for our first hack.

I was in my bed, sleeping like a rock, dreaming about the day I would finally get my first Pokemon. All of a sudden, there was an earthquake. The room shook, and I screamed. Just as soon as it had started, it stopped. I figured it was just a lucid dream, and fell back into a deep sleep...

The next day, I turned on the TV as soon as I woke up. The news came on, and it talked about the earthquake. Apparently it wasn't a dream. It was a strange device with evil purposes. It was making Pokemon come to life. I laughed, and thought it was a joke. But my GameCube was missing, and so was my Pokemon Colosseum game. When I went downstairs, I couldn't believe my eyes. My Umbreon and Espeon were waiting at the bottom of the stairs.

"Umbreon? Espeon?" I was so confused. Maybe it wasn't a joke. But my mom was in the corner. "[PLAYER](default is Will), you know these... these things? "Yeah Mom, they're Pokemon." I thought I should probably go next door to the Professor. He'd know what to do.

"Ahh, [PLAYER], so you're Pokemon came to life too? Well, that's good and bad. Good is they weren't messed up like my daughter's poor Pokemon. Bad is now I know it wasn't a practical joke. So, let me guess, you want to know what happened last night. Well, you're too young to know. This is for grown-ups. But I know a way you COULD know. Travel the U.S.! Learn from congressmen and representatives! Learn the truth. But you could use a Pokemon to your advantage. Now I'd like to keep one of your Pokemon for research, but you can keep the other. So choose. Do you want the defensive DARK-TYPE UMBREON, or the SPECIAL PSYCHIC-TYPE ESPEON?"

Next you go west to Interstate 90 and soon you come across 2 uniformed men with the letter TR (Team Reality) on them. They are stealing 2 eggs. You instantly know they were taken from he nearby town's park care-takers so you battle the 2 uniformed men. In the end you win, get the 2 eggs, show them to the vetrinarian to study then return the eggs to the care-takers who reward you with 1 of the eggs of your choosing.

This is a hack of Ruby. This is also set in the real world. I'm hoping to get some really good tilers so I could put stuff in like the Statue of Liberty and other important sites across the U.S.

Here's some features of the game...

• Explore the United States and parts of Canada!!!
• New starters, Umbreon or Espeon.
• Some Pokemon got glitched from the laser. These will be Fakemon in the game. Maybe some glitch legendaries like MissingNo...
• There will be Gym Leaders, but they aren't gym leaders. They're talented trainers from the area that you meet somehow.
• The E4 is the National Pokemon Championships.
• Meet the evil Team Reality!!
• It'll probably be Deoxys for the legendary. It's backround fits, because the laser it was hit by could be from Team Reality.

This sounds a bit weird, but at the same time if it was made correctly, with custom tilesets and whatever, it could be something quite different than we're used to; that would be a cool twist. It could be interesting... If I was a better mapper, I would join ;P Good luck with it.

EDIT: you'll be doing minnesota and new mexico. and if we get could put it in, maybe alaska.

I started yesterday already, and the truck is completely blacks and serves as a dream. Then you wake up in your room and there are some serious earthquakes, then you go back to sleep, thinking it was just a dream, the next morning you wake up and go to the clock, it's broken and you have to fix it (in order for the RTC to work), then you check the TV, notice your GameCube's gone

Zekrom's got some nice ideas for the story and fakemon...

And I have done... nothing... :P but i will be right about... now.

If we had cutsom tiles we could do new york... :( i know!! do the big island on hawaii. and just so you know, i think some lava and rocks and stuff are in tileset 17. if i remember correctly. the island should be bigger than rhode island, have the volcano in the middle with a cave door sticking out the front, mostly beach around the island (for that hawaii feel :) ) and for some houses use the kind that are at the bottom of rhode island, cause those just seem more hawaii to me. sry if it's a lot.

Yeah, Hawaii sounds fun!! :D
And yeah, there would really be no point in doing New York, if we don't have any custom tilesets.. Same with any other large city that will be strongly recognizable.
