Technique Points instead of Power Points?

Power Points, more commonly known as PP, indicate the number of times a certain move can be used before healing the Pokémon. However, originally the games intended to use a system involving TP (Technique Points), that work like Mana Points in many other games like Final Fantasy. In this system there's one general quantity of TP, an additional stat. Each move then requires a certain amount of TP to use.

How do you think Pokémon would be with TP instead of PP? Are you happy they decided to change plans and used PP?

That mechanic fits the Mystery Dungeon perfectly, but not the core games. People are going to abuse 'strong moves' with that mechanic, which is unfortunate. The current PP system is already perfect, in my opinion.
