Tee Beginners, Back!
Hi, again, the last team wasn't a great team, so here is a better comeback (or I suppose it is better…)! This is team is for Wi-Fi and maybe sometimes for Shoddy. Yes, it is a Standard Tier, but it could be considered OU since everyone is OU except Arcanine which is BL. This team, as I see it, supports each other well… Well, here it is:Platinum Wi-Fi Standard Team
Team Overview

Team In Depth
![[PokeCommunity.com] Teh Begginers, Back! [PokeCommunity.com] Teh Begginers, Back!](https://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/azelf.png)
----------------------------------------
Azelf @ Focus Sash
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP/ 252 SAtk/ 252 Spd
Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Stealth Rock
- Explosion
- Psychic
- Fire Blast
Sashed Azelf is very common indeed, but I intend on using it. Timid Nature makes sure he outspeeds very fast sweepers, like Non-Choice Scarf Gengar, and other threats. Sash insures that SR will set up at least, crippling pokes like Yanmega and Ninjask. Psychic covers well, but it is only there for STAB, while Fire Blast dents Bronzong, and faints Yanmega, and so on. This is just your average lead Azelf, taken a liking to the guy.

![[PokeCommunity.com] Teh Begginers, Back! [PokeCommunity.com] Teh Begginers, Back!](https://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/arcanine.png)
----------------------------------------
Arcanine (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP/ 252 Atk/ 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Thunder Fang
- Iron Head
- Flare Blitz
- Extreme Speed
Arcanine can be a great killer with this moveset. Even though he isn't holding Life Orb, which would almost double recoil with Flare Blitz. Thunder Fang covers Waters, just as a last resort, usually does around 75% to a Starmie without neutral nature and no EVs in Def. Flare Blitz does a huge dent into anything, even if it resists it! Though it has recoil, Lefties can heal him up a bit. Extreme Speed wipes out those low HP folks, which can be very useful on switch-ins. Iron Head cripples Rocks, and why not Overheat you ask? Well, I calculated the damage and Iron Head does more to Rocks than Overheat does. Although, it would be nice to have special move in here, but no.

![[PokeCommunity.com] Teh Begginers, Back! [PokeCommunity.com] Teh Begginers, Back!](https://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/suicune.png)
----------------------------------------
Suicune @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/ 252 Def/ 4 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Surf
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Hidden Power [Electric]
RestTalk Suicune, normally Surf since it adds with STAB, and Ice Beam is for Salamence, Dragonite, and other Dragon folks around. Rest recovers damage, then Sleep Talk for about two turns, than attack again. This set doesn't get crippled by phazers, also. He is equally balanced on defense categories, and Leftovers also helps annoy opponents as usual.

![[PokeCommunity.com] Teh Begginers, Back! [PokeCommunity.com] Teh Begginers, Back!](https://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/donphan.png)
----------------------------------------
Donphan (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP/ 4 Atk/ 252 Def
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Rapid Spin
- Ice Shard
- Roar
- Earthquake
Rapid Spin away Spikes and what not, bring in Donphan! Use Ice Shard for flying birdies and dragons since Earthquake doesn't disposes them. Roar away pokes once I have SR set up, and also Roar away the likes of Stat Boosters. Earthquake is with the average STAB, as usual, and Lefties again is there to annoy the ever sequence of healing.

![[PokeCommunity.com] Teh Begginers, Back! [PokeCommunity.com] Teh Begginers, Back!](https://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/salamence.png)
----------------------------------------
Salamence (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 80 Atk/ 252 SAtk/ 176 Spd
Rash Nature (+SAtk, -SDef)
- Brick Break
- Roost
- Fire Blast
- Draco Meteor
MixMence, Brick Break deals with Blissey, Tyranitar, and so on, while Roost heals recoil damage from Life Orb and SR. Fire Blast dents Bronzong, Metagross, and others. Draco Meteor packs a punch into anything, just the stat lower is the down effect… Life Orb helps Salamence hit ever harder, and Intimidate cushions some physical blows on switch-ins.

![[PokeCommunity.com] Teh Begginers, Back! [PokeCommunity.com] Teh Begginers, Back!](https://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/blissey.png)
----------------------------------------
Blissey (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 Def/ 80 SAtk/ 176 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Seismic Toss
- Wish
- Softboiled
- Ice Beam
Useful Wish Support, average BoltBeam hits almost anything in today's metagame: Salamence, Garchomp (when he wasn't Uber), Dragonite, Gyarados, and others… Here I can Wish, then switch into a poke that needs some Wish Support. I heal myself with Softboiled since Wish's max PP I think is 16. She is also my Special Wall, which is kinda obvious! lol

Here are my poke roles so far:
Spoiler:
Azelf: Lead, SR Set Up, Special Sweeper
Arcanine: Physical Sweeper
Suicune: SleepTalk, Physical Wall
Donphan: Phazer, Physical Wall
Salamence: Mixed Sweeper
Blissey: Wish Support, Special Wall
Arcanine: Physical Sweeper
Suicune: SleepTalk, Physical Wall
Donphan: Phazer, Physical Wall
Salamence: Mixed Sweeper
Blissey: Wish Support, Special Wall
Typing:
Spoiler:
Normal: Nothing a problem here, Salamence and Azelf have a Fighting-Type move.
Fire: Three pokes are resistant to Fire, so they should be no problem.(=
Water: Two pokemon are weak to them, but Suicune and Salamence could finish them of hopefully… Kinda worried here…
Electric: This team does great against Electrics, even Donphan gets no damage at all from them!^^
Grass: Even though there are two pokes that are weak to it, most of my pokemon has a move effective against it.
Ice: I have three that resist this type, and a lot of Fire attacks so this should be no dilemma.
Fighting: Blissey weak to it, and a few resist it, so this is fine. Equal balance, might be a slight bit challenging, but I have Salamence!
Poison: Poison is always easy to counter…
Ground: Two resist completely and two are weak to it… It'll be fine!
Flying: Fine!
Psychic: Great counters on this team for that.
Bug: Two resist it, and I have heaps of Fire moves!
Rock: Two resist, and two are weak from it…Brick Break from Mence and it will go smoothly (but he is weak to it…).
Ghost: Blissey is immune to their attacks, so I should do fine!
Dragon: Ice Shard from Donphan=OHKO.
Dark: Same as Ghost…but I have a few Fighting moves to spare.
Steel: I have three that resist! It'll go fine!
Fire: Three pokes are resistant to Fire, so they should be no problem.(=

Threats:
Spoiler:
1. DD Gyara, always…If anyone could outspeed him after one DD, then it will go smoothly… Arcanine may outspeed him, and OHKO him with Thunder Fang. I could try to get in a Thunderbolt from Blissey if I could…

![[PokeCommunity.com] Teh Begginers, Back! [PokeCommunity.com] Teh Begginers, Back!](https://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/electivire.png)
----------------------------------------
Electivire (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Motor Drive
EVs: 4 HP/ 252 Atk/ 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -Spd)
- Ice Punch
- Thunder Punch
- Magnet Rise
- Earthquake
Ice Punch deals with Grounds and Dragons, OHKOs Dragonite, Salamence, and Flygon. Thunder Punch comes with STAB, and can do damage to any pokes that resist all the other moves. Magnet Rise extremely helps save him from ever common EQ, and also uses EQ himself to defend himself from fellow Electric-Types. Life Orb packs another 30% power to his attacks, and if you can, switch him in when you think the opponent is going to use a Electric move, and he gets a free speed boost!

![[PokeCommunity.com] Teh Begginers, Back! [PokeCommunity.com] Teh Begginers, Back!](https://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/forretress.png)
----------------------------------------
Forretress @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP/ 96 Atk/ 160 Def
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Rapid Spin
- Spikes
- Gyro Ball
- Explosion
Well, Spike a few times, then explode, Gyro Ball adds with STAB and doesn't need any EVs to do a lot. Explosion HURTS on anything, and I can Spin away Spikes and SR and set up mine. If I do put him in, I will add Flash Fire to Arcanine sinc I can always switch into a Fire move with CBArcanine.
Changes:
Spoiler:
- Gave Azelf Naive Nature, and added Explosion to its set
- Gave Arcanine a CB
- Turned Suicune into a Physical Wall, and switched out Ice Beam with HP [Electric]
- Pumped more Spd EVs into Salamence, and took out Atk EVs in return
- Gave Seismic Toss to Bliss instead of T-Bolt
- Gave Arcanine a CB
- Turned Suicune into a Physical Wall, and switched out Ice Beam with HP [Electric]
- Pumped more Spd EVs into Salamence, and took out Atk EVs in return
- Gave Seismic Toss to Bliss instead of T-Bolt
So, what do you think? Also, can someone tell me how to hid some stuff on this post, like "Content Hidden"?
