Oh, my school has one of the best academic standings in Indiana, however; that only applies if you take advanced courses such as Honors, GT, or AP.
For example, one has three options for English their Freshman year. One can either take English 9, English 9 Honors, or English 9 GT (You have to be personally selected in order to take this class). If you take English 9 GT, they give you harder tests, more books to read, and make you write longer essays. If you take English 9 Honors, you get like one extra book to read and more homework assignments. However, if one takes regular English 9... They basically hold your hand while you dream about Indiana Corn. -.-
(I'm too lazy to explain AP... But you can't take that your Freshman year anyway. xD)
Basically, I consider one intelligent at my school if they are in GT or AP, normal if they are in Honors, and pretty darn dumb if they are in regular. The same basic ideas persist in Science and Math as well.
(Though there are too many different routes of Science and Math one can take in my High School so there is no need to go into that.. o_O;)
...Or your school could be full of the aforementioned kids who dream about Indiana Corn. xDD
Just kidding. You live in Australia; I'm not familiar with school systems there. ;D
I said I had a Physics test tomorrow at 6:30 PM my time. It is now 10:14 PM, so I haven't taken it yet. I hope I do well on it; I don't want to take the final in December.
(Another perk of my school. If you get an "A" for both quarters of the semester, you are exempt from the final. (b'.')b )
