    If you think that someone is wearing something which makes them look great, do you tend to complement them on it? If you don't, why not? How often do you ask where they brought it from, and do you tend to look there for new clothing yourself if you like it enough?
     
    I'm huge on complimenting when I see something I like, I'll even go out of my way to do it because I would be happy if someone did it to me. It always makes me feel good so if I like something I'll compliment them on it no matter what. I never do ask where they got it though; generally when I like something it's not just the item itself, but how the item looks on them so I don't think it would look as good on me so I don't want to buy it.

    Edit: Lol I just did this. I saw a guy sitting all alone with a shirt that said "When the world seems to be crashing down around you, check for missed semicolons." and I was so amused that I went out of my way to go tell him how much I liked it XD

    I do this; but especially when it comes to my friends, since I see them the most. I love seeing what types of outfits people can come up with, and if it's something that really stands out to me, I will compliment without hesitation. :P I mean, who doesn't love being complimented? Everyone deserves a compliment every once in a while, whether it's about their hair, clothes, etc. Yes, guys too.
     
    I sometimes see someone wear something that looks very nice on them and I complement them with it, because I like it to get compliments myself and it's also just nice to make someone feel good like that, but somehow I feel like that when I ask where they bought it right after, there is a certain kind of switch of intentions, at least that's what it feels like. They might get the idea that I was just being nice, to get that eventual opportunity to ask where they got it so I can buy it myself (which isn't at all true of course), so I only ask where they bought it if I really want to know and know I can't figure it out myself. And I always excuse myself for asking too.
     
    Oh yes. I love complimenting peoples' clothes, ESPECIALLY PANTS. I know it's awkward, but I can't count how many times I have said "nice pants" to someone. lol
     
    I never notice those kinds of things, so no, I don't tend to compliment peoples clothing or anything. :\ IF I DID NOTICE, I am, sure I would say something, but I just don't pay attention or anything. Except maybe hair. xD
     
    I hate compliments XD Unless they're actually sincere but those don't come about too often. :p

    Of course I do, clothes can be pretty appointing, after all. Though I don't tend to go any further than 'is that [cloth] new?' when it comes to my friends. Dunno why. About me, though, is another story. I have never been complimented about my clothes in my entire life, lol.
     
    I never ever do this. I don't know why, but I think it sounds a little awkward coming from me "Oh I like that shirt on you". The one thing I do though, is compliment hair. Whenever somebody gets a haircut, I always compliment it whether I like it or not because there's nothing worse than getting a risky new haircut and having yourself thinking people hate it lol.
     
    I always compliment someone's shoes. Though, they turn into left-handed comments. Like "Wow, those shoes make you look like a hobo!"

    But yeah, I compliment other's articles of clothing. Anything that's out of the ordinary for the person, usually a friend. Like if someone wore a scarf, who never wears scarves, I'll say it looks nice on them. It starts a nice vibe in our friendship, constantly complimenting each other's outfits and whatnot.
     
    I don't tend to give out a lot of compliments in this area, unless the clothes are particularly noticeable AND really good. If a friend and I are going to a posh party or something, and she wears a really nice dress/gown-thing, I'll probably say "Nice dress!"; if the same friend and I are going out shopping, and she's wearing some nice shoes, I probably won't say anything about the shoes unless prompted by her. I guess there's a slight difference in context (fancy/formal vs. sorta normal), but it's a difference nonetheless.
     
    Yupyup! I love complimenting ppl 'cause it makes them feel good :D I don't usually ask where they got it STRAIGHT after complimenting them or else.. they'll think that I complimented them because I wanted to know where they got it lol :x
     
    I walked past a person a few days ago cosplaying Sasuke Uchiha, I went up to them and complimented them on how cool they looked, etc, we had a right cool chat too. But yeah, I do occasionally do that a lot, if they are wearing something I do like, I'll ask them where they got it from too.
     
    Nope, I don't compliment anyone. And it's because I know how awkward I feel when someone gives me a compliment, I don't want to do that to anyone else.

    Although probably it doesn't bother anyone else. But I'd like to think it does. xD
     
    Yes, I compliment people on their cool/cute clothes, but I usually don't have the opportunity to ask them about where they got it. And since I'm the opposite gender of the people I'm usually complimenting, buying said outfits wouldn't really do me a lot of good xD
     
    Yeah I always compliment people if I think they look good, even with people who are practically strangers lol. I don't ask where they got it from because it's always with girls and I'm not really looking for girls clothes stores. Most guys around here don't really care about their image.
     
    I very rarely compliment what someone is wearing, unless it's something I actually really do like. I compliment friends way more often, of course. Needless to say, it's pretty cool how many compliments you can receive from different people just by wearing a Nyan Cat shirt. xD
