Boy this is tough. I never really feel guilty about any of the games I play. I guess I'll just go with the latest Call Of Duty. I'm the person who buys the season pass, pre-orders, etc.

Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth

I mean, its the official yet not official Crossover of Persona 3 and Persona 4. Its basically what almost every fan of the Persona 3 and Persona 4 fanbase has always wanted and what did we get? Basically a reskin of Etrian Odyssey with a Persona flavor. Despite people's opinions on Persona Q, I still loved this game for what it is. It had a rather serviceable story that still matched well with what the mainline Persona games were about, it had its entertaining moments, the gameplay was fun though it was quite easy to steamroll through (playing the game again on a harder difficulty setting), but most importantly, its just one of those games that made me smile a lot...

Also, even in their Chibi forms, the Persona ladies are still lovely and hot as hell, especially Marie, Yukari, and Mitsuri as seen above.

Day 4 - Your guilty pleasure game.

Paper Mario: Sticker Star was a game that was generally given good reviews yet universally hated by the fanbase. Half of the game is a flawed RPG with no incentive for battle at all. The absence of well-developed characters and story in general is disappointing too. Yet, despite the big flaws, I found the game to be a rather fun experience. I really thought the sticker aesthetic and non-linearity of the game were definitely unique. And given that I only paid $10 for it brand new? I think I got my money's worth.

Playing through Color Splash atm, and I can say it's a great step in the right direction.

Lego Star Wars: The Video Game

A lot of people don't like the Lego series of games because they're too easy or too childish or whatever, but I personally think they can be a lot of fun, especially if you're playing co-op with a friend. I spent several years with friends trying to 100% the Lego games, and Lego Star Wars is the most memorable for me.

Squall Leonhart

Back to Squall! I'm not saying him in an attempt to be edgy or cool or anything lol. For a long time I considered myself a lone wolf type person and had a hard time letting people get close to me because I was afraid they would just leave me anyway. I've overcome that feeling for the most part, and so that's why I think Squall is the character I'm the most like, since that's basically him.​

Day 5: A game character you think you're most like

My player character in Fallout New Vegas - "Rain"

It was a rainy day when i booted up Fallout New Vegas for the very first time. I was thinking of a couple of names to fit the character that I was building and the rainy weather did provide me a little bit of inspiration.. "Rain". My character, Rain, is basically a little bit of self insertion to the wasteland of New Vegas. He is the typical quiet looking individual who doesn't really speak much unless spoken to, but gets the job done with as much effort as possible. Rain is an individual who prefers to do things what he thinks is morally right according to his own standards of GMRC (Good morals and right conduct), Rain is an individual who knows that his ends or methods justifies the means of doing so. When i was playing (and i still do need to finish things up) New Vegas, much of the decisions i made during the game were made based on what i would think be the right thing to do, according to my own skills and capabilities.

As a "Gun nut", Rain's methods consist of taking out single targets through devious sneak attacks, shooting the enemy to death when they least expect it, but should things get out of hand, Rain does not mind taking on multiple adversaries at once through his skillful use of firearms. Also, Rain's (much like how I would love myself in having so) favorite perk is "Bloody Mess". The Bloody Mess Perk is a multiplicative universal damage boost that enables the character to dismember or downright gloriously big an opponent to death.

I don't really know. Can't really think of any really lazy game characters aside from the slew of Animal Crossing characters. And since Bob is my favorite lazy villager, I think I'll go with him, lol. The pic sums up him and I rather nicely.

Dr. White from Mighty No. 9

This guy is simply a sorry excuse of an allusion to one of the more iconic non player characters in gaming. He is simply unlikable. More than half of his dialogue is unbearable, he acts like he doesn't give a flying damn with everything that's happening, heck you can already tell from his mugshot that he doesn't does't give a crap. He's a terrible spiritual successor to Dr. Light.

The worst part is that I don't even have the game to experience how much of a Jerk Dr. White is.

Emil from Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World is still at the top of my list. Went into the game with big expectations as ToS has always been a game I greatly enjoyed, but they quickly crashed when the hero went from a slightly generic JRPG archetype, to a whiny, annoying and unbearable baby, who has no redeeming qualities. It's like the developers sat there and tried to make him as unlikeable as possible.

Chrom X Sumia - Fire Emblem Awakening

I have to admit, in recent memory i have not had any video game couple that i can consider my favorite since I'm not at all a big fan of video game shippings and romance. However, Fire Emblem Awakening and to an extent, Fates, did somehow at least try to make me like it. Try..

Admittedly, the writing of romance in between Fire Emblem Awakening is kinda shallow and silly at best. However, the way Awakening kinda shoves it in the players' faces that Sumia's the girl for Chrom somehow kinda works. Kinda.

Anyway, why i kinda like Chrom and Sumia together is that they look good together. I mean, the mission structure in FE Awakening's Ylisse chapter always made me sure that I was letting Chrom and Sumia work together as a team. Also, at the end of the deal, obviously we get Lucina, but we also get a Blue haired Cynthia (Sumia's future daughter), and i kinda like Cynthia with blue hair. Also, the interactions between Lucina and Cynthia are pretty dang cute.

Oh sure, a lot of people didn't really like Chrom x Sumia since many felt that it was kinda shoved way too much in the players' faces. Of course it didn't take long for people to actually figure out that even though Sumia gets an FMV Cutscene with Chrom, its more on which lucky lady has worked with Chrom the most in the Ylisse chapter. I just happened to be one of those who got suckered by that FMV cutscene D:

Day 7: Favorite game couple

Hero/Bianca from Dragon Quest V is among my favorite pairings. Given that they first meet as children and whatnot, it just feels like it fits organically into the rest of the story as to opposed the other two bride choices.

Day 8: Best OST

Doom 2016

Mick Gordon, the composer responsible for the game's soundtrack has delivered a masterpiece that truly elevates this game in level of high. Pretty much every bit in this soundtrack is well executed and well composed by Mick.

The ambient (or non combat) themes are immersive pieces that are calm, soothing, yet at the same time a little sinister and imposing. Imposing in such a sense that the ambient themes are implying that you are this badass motherf**ker who is about to literally raise hell and rip and tear. The combat themes are amazingly well composed in a sense that they aren't just loud pieces of music. Its not all loud, its not all yells and cheers without the proper tone and composition.

Doom 2016's combat themes are a fine example on how music in a game that's pretty much an action game should work. Its not all LOUD LOUD LOUD like most other video game soundtracks. Mick Gordon elevated what music in a Doom game should be with some varying levels of emotion, adding depth to an otherwise decent soundtrack. Suffice to say, it takes a lot of critical thinking to truly appreciate the game's OST. People who easily pass the game's OST as nothing but a collection of whatever they are f**king describing have no idea on what they are talking about and do not really grasp the essense of Mick Gordon's Doom soundtrack.

Doom 2016's soundtrack from the musical pieces themselves to how the game's music is used within the game is a textbook masterclass of how music in a video game should be used and executed.
