I was playing my Pokemon Emerald on Visual Boy Advanced (or something like that) on my computer, when I came across several problems involving the in-game. Some of the problems are listed here:
    - When I use 'Dive' in the Abandoned ship, what is that supposed to achieve? I am still trying to find the Sonar Item and I still can't find it anywhere.
    - Where can I find Red Shards and other Shards? And Ever-stones?
    - Is it possible to trade in VBA using a PC? If so, how is it possible?
    - Where can I find Dittos and Eevees in Emerald?
    - Where is a Feebas and how rare is Volbeat?
    :D

wow, you are inquisitive arent you?
    1. Volbeat is in the game according to the pokedex so is plusle, yet for all the hours i have searched for them, i have never encountered them in the wild. In fortree i guy wants a volbeat for plusle.
    2. You get ditto in follarbar town after beating the elite4. Just go to the fossil guys house in the tunnel. you will find a ditto and the other fossil you didnt collect
    3. Feebas is tricky according site and pokedex, he is only in 6 square tiles out of 600 in that water route down from the weather institute. And the tiles reset everytime the popular phrase in Dewford changes. Silver lining is the tiles that feebas show up have an 80% encounter rate.
4.Everstone- you should get 1 from some1 i think Birch or May, cant remember, your Zigzagoon can pick one up when he is above lvl 20 but under 59. Defenitely you find one in Dewford Cave, where you have to use the mach bike.
5.the shards are all over the place in the oceans of Hoen you will need dive to locate them.
    6. using Dive in the abandoned ship allows you to go under the ship past a underwater tunnel, to find the Scanner. once you find the scanner show it to that dude that builds ship he will give you either a deep tooth or deepscale for clamperl.
    7. VBA trading, it is possible, using wi fi and LAN, with other people. Within your PC try googling VBA link. And there is another emulator that aloows you to trade between the same game as well( i forget the name) but dont use it, it punishes your PC's ventilation system.
-Just use codes like gameshark i say, or Rom hacks like emerald 386, where you can catch all pokemon in game , and buy all stones except for sun and moon stone. Problem with emerald 386 is the trainers in the game are STRONG the eilte 4 champ has a pokemon of lvl80!

Your supposed to find the Sonar Item. Keep looking, you'll eventually find it.
    - Where can I find Red Shards and other Shards? And Ever-stones?
You find them by Mossdeep City. Make sure you have HM Dive though!
    - Is it possible to trade in VBA using a PC? If so, how is it possible?
    I'm not sure.
    - Where can I find Dittos and Eevees in Emerald?
Dittos are found in the fossil hunter's house in Fallabar Town. There are no Eevee's in Pokemon Emerald.
    - Where is a Feebas and how rare is Volbeat?
Volbeat isn't that rare really (or atleast in my opinion). I found ten or twenty in a course of over thirty minutes while training my Ralts into evolution.
    :D
My helpful advice is in bold. Good luck in Pokemon Emerald.

    Hokayz~

    1. When you use Dive, you go underwater (Obviously). When underwater, go all the way to the left until you come across a door. Go into door, and use Dive again to get above water. Then you have to figure out the little puzzle of doors to get Scanner Part. *Tip on puzzle: When walking into the door, your character will stop for a moment, look for shiny objects that flash on the ground every time you walk into one of the open rooms. YOu will find a key that will lead to another room.

    2. Red Shards and other colored shards are pretty annoying to get. BUT, if you're dedicated, you can go to Route 124. In this route, there are various spots where you are able to Dive into. Explore each one of them. Follow everywhere that they lead, and you should come out with at least one shard of every color. If you're lucky, catch a wild Relicanth and Wild Corsola, they also sometimes carry shards.
As for the Everstone, go back to the cave at Dewford City. When inside of the cave, go to the THIRD Basement level. When on said level, go all the way to the left until you see some stairs, go up the stairs and go onto the ledge. Then, go to your right until you see another set of STAIRS (Not a ladder) and walk up the stairs. You SHOULD see a white rock. Press the A button on rock, and you will obtain Everstone. Wild Geodude may also carry Everstones if lucky.

    3. I don't think it is.

    4. Eevee is unavailable in Emerald. However, Dittos are very common. Go to Fallabor Town. Go to the left outside of town until you see a house. Go inside. When inside, talk to the little boy in front of the doorway,he'll give you Dig. Go inside door he is in front of, and go all the way back until you see yet another door. Go inside again, and just walk around. There are MANY Ditto here ranging from Lv.37-Lv.43 as well as wild Whismur and Loudred. Also, there are no items in this location, unless you went to the dessert and got the fossil. If you travel all the way to the right in the underground cave, you will see and be able to obtain the other lost fossil.

    5. Feebas is on Route 119, and is NOT easy to catch. Get on the water, and fish in one spot for a while. Give it about ten encounters. If it doesnt show, head over to a different spot, and do the same thing. I think you get more of a chance with the Good Rod though....not entirely sure.
As for that Volbeat, they are very rare. JD more than likely encountered a swarm that the TV reporters will announce every now-and-then. But if you are VERY dedicated to finding one, they are in the grass of Route 117.

Hope this cleared some things up for ya. Good luck with your journey! :3

You find the sonar item, buts its hard.
    - Where can I find Red Shards and other Shards? And Ever-stones?
    Underwater mostly.
    - Is it possible to trade in VBA using a PC? If so, how is it possible?
    Im not sure
    - Where can I find Dittos and Eevees in Emerald?
Ditto is found it the Desert Underpass, in the fossil hunter house after you beat the game
    - Where is a Feebas and how rare is Volbeat?
feebas is in the safari zone, its the rarest in the game. Volbeat is common in some areas.
    :D

I wrote in orange where you needed answers.

Shards are held by certain Pokémon when diving or fishing. Use Thief or Covet instead of catching them; it's easier, and saves money.
    Relicanth - Green Shard
    Clamperl - Blue Shard
    Chinchou - Yellow Shard
    Corsola - Red Shard

For Feebas, I recommend fishing in each tile just once; since it has a 80% encounter rate, you're unlikely to miss it; even then, you'll cover the whole route faster, so you'll probably come across one of the other ones. And it's on Route 119, not the Safari Zone.

You should hunt for Volbeat rather than Plusle; it's there, but quite rare. Once you have a Volbeat, you can trade it for a Plusle in Fortree City.
