Augh, Mount Battle in Pokemon XD (and likely Colosseum, but I haven't played it). I swear they used Protect with every heart beat. X_x

Of course, there was a strategy to it, I suppose. Usually Earthquake or Explosion with it. Bleh.

In one of the Hoenn [Emerald?] games, Phoebe's first Dusclops will always use Protect on the first move. Always. I can time it so that I KO the Dusclops on the second turn. Protect is annoying, but it can make some trainers really predictable. My Pelipper knows Protect just for the heck of it!
