    Alright, I know it is TOO early to think of this question, but out of curiosity, I decided to Post it.

    The Purpose of this Thread is to Speculate what would happen after Ash's journey in Unova ends. Have you ever really gave it thought? Whether they might shift their concept of restarting or at least restart in a different way.

    Do you expect they would wipe out all previous progress like what they did in B/W? Will the formula they used lately work consecutively for the next Gen?

    So simply, speculate, both the ending and the new beginning, whether it would be the same or whether we will start progressing.

    This Post was out of curiosity so if you see it pointless, then excuse me :\
     
    I am almost 85% sure that they will come up with another game.
    And of course, another season.
    They could make like Pokemon Purple or something.
    But, if they did restart that would be awesome.

    And I though I was the only who thought he would go back to another region <_<.
    I do believe that Ash had some things In Sinnoh he didn't sort out yet, such as battling Cynthia, isn't that what he promised? And the Battle Frontier as well.

    I'm feeling a meeting at Undella Town. I'm just curious as too what would comprise his team. If he is doing 6 on 6 I'd think he would want the best of the best.

    Overall I'm feeling some exploring in East Unova. For all we know Third Game adds some facility either adds to the Battle Club, or some Battle Frontier, Sub League thing and Ash travels from facility to facility and battles various esteemed trainers as well as getting a crack and Cynthia at some point in this post Saga arc.

    As for post region I hope this region bears relation to Kanto and Johto did where they are close it proximity and their pokemon have relations be it evolutions or pre-evolutions then he starts sending his pokes to Juniper. I just pray they keep a rotation formula like they have during Unova, since it has seemed to work. And if he did do a rotation he would have more pokes to drawn from (=.
     
    By the time Ash returns to Pallet, I think a new game may have been created and Ash will gain motivation to explore the newly introduced region.
     
    Ash losses again and back to pallet town. When the next generation comes up, Ash will start his journey again.
    As long as Ash and Pikachu star in the anime series, I think this formula will not end.
     
    A lose from Ash isn't a necessary step just as it's not necessary they that they show Ash father yet or if they ever will. If the writers intend for this to happen it certainly will. Ash doesn't need to end his journey just cause he has a league victory or inversely the writers don't need to use Ash losing as an excuse for continuation and no permanent character development i.e. aging or retaining his wit when it comes to battling.
     
    Rather than this rinse repeat cycle the Anime has been going through, for quite a while, I for one would like a change. Though, I can't say I'm not enjoying what we're getting right now. I mean, the creators do find great ways too keep the cycle fresh in a way, just look at the rotation we've got going at the moment.

    Going back onto what I was saying about change (strong word to use I know, just look at Hitler and Obama). But yeah, I'd like to see Ash actually actually break this cycle and probably do something that would help him move a little further to his goal. I don't know, seeing as hes reclaimed his 2B a Pokémon Master (see what I did there) I think the writers may have something in mind after Best Wishes/The Unova League, and probably could break the formula. I could see him maybe winning the league and get invited to another league, though one that isn't necessarily weak enough for Ash to have to start all over. Basically another Battle Frontier, but probably a little more to it than that, maybe a little more longer, and probably still going through that meeting new companions cycle or maybe travel along with some old friends, idk. But after instead of starting all over again after that - have Ash get a step closer to whatever a Pokémon Master is, and idk, let the writers get a little more creative.

    Problem with this whole theory would have to be that the Anime follows the games, and in every new game, theres always a new journey, which is what the Anime follows... I would like them to at least probably let Ash travel into those new regions, but keep his old Pokémon into rotation, and probably make the leaders stronger, kind of like Falkner with Pidgeot.
