As for the T-dome, I'm not sure the idea can ever fly. If it were to, you'd most certainly have to drop the name "T-dome," as it has such negative connotations with everyone. "Mature" is a misnomer too; it implies adult discussion, which is different from the type of mature, serious discussion that its supporters want to have.

I really miss the DCC that was 50 pages in the first day it was made, honestly. Look a this...my last post is still on this page, and I made it YESTERDAY! Either some members' maturity scared other members off, or PC's new members just haven't realized the joys of having a good DCC discussion.

Because it can be really fun sometimes. This is supposed to be like...a member lounge, you know? But no one seems to be using it as much as they should. That, or, everyone's busy with school and/or life. Which would suck.

Anyway, I work in the offices of a ___ company. I'm usually there to help the manager make sure all the orders are out on the time, by typing up invoices on the computer, answering the phone, etc. Basically just general office work, really. Sometimes I have to go and work in the packing room, which I did a little bit on Saturday. It's tiring doing that though, so I try to make sure I look like I'm really busy in the office so I don't get called out.

Ooh, awesome. I've never been to a gig before. It's just so expensive to get there from where I live that, in the end, it's not really worth the money. Also I've never been into a band or something so much that I want to spend that kind of money. Have a good time though!

That's pretty cool. I absolutely love going to concerts. I've probably been to over 50 major shows in the last 5 years or so. The last show I went to was the Gym Class Heroes and Rx Bandits. I got to meet the Rx Bandits guitarist/keyboardist, so that was really awesome. XD I almost met the Gym Class Heroes as well. I was on my way to a party after the show that GHC were at, but on the way there I got a call that they had just left. =< My friend got pictures with all the members of the band though, so that was cool to see.

Yeah, those were the golden days alright. I get tired of hearing vets complain about the DCC and the way it is today though. In fact, there are certain members that only seem to come around when the topic is how crappy the DCC is now. They seem to ignore the fact that if they came around more often and tried to contribute to the discussion more often, it might not be so dull. =X

Reminiscing is cool and all, but not when it ends up coming out as whining/complaining. =\

When I first got the job someone said to me "don't do more than what's expected of you otherwise they'll be dependent on it." Well, I've stuck to that. If I started saying "I'll go help in the pack house!" I'd be expected to do it all the time. I'd much rather be doing easy stuff in the offices. XD

Office work, I wouldn't stand for that (get it, stand.... XD). I know I like the inside better, and I'm always on the computer (both internet and school), but I don't think I'd like an office job. XD

So anyone heard of the massive shooting at Virginia Tech University earlier today? 32 people are dead already, and it's been labeled the biggest shooting in United States history. What's really scary is I have a friend from high school that is going there right now. His major is Engineering, and the second building that was shot up holds the classes for Engineering. He said he heard gunshots and everything. The first building that was shot up was a dormitory just like the one I live in. Makes me feel real comfortable. =\

I wanna take one of those merchant marine jobs, but I just got student aid and I'm not sure if putting school off for a few months to take that job will screw with the money I'm supposed to get.

CNN keeps playing that video of some guy who was able to catch like 27 of the shootings on tape, it's pretty scary. And, I've heard that over on Fox news, Jack Thompson is already blaming this all on video games and saying that they trained the killer, which is total BS since we know nothing about the killer.

I don't really know what sort of job I want to have to be honest. XD; Most of my friends blabber on saying I should get a job that involves I.T and/or Art. XD I don't really like active jobs, I prefer to be sitting down while working, that shows how lazy I am. XD

At schools in my country, there seems to be a strong focus on future careers and planning them early so you get pressured in choosing subjects. If you try planning too early, something will probably go wrong, as it has for me.

At the moment, I'm not entirely sure what I want to do, so I'll just go with the flow until I find something. Why choose one thing when there are hundreds of others?

Yeah, Fuz, I have a friend that goes there too, and I think he's an Engineering major. I haven't heard anything, and I'm really hoping he's okay...

I'm just glad that the college I go to is pretty safe. VT's on the other side of the state too, so it didn't really happen close by.

Yeah, a lot of people miss the old days, but the fact is they're not going to come back. Member's have moved on so the best you can do is to do so as well. Instead of constantly thinking of how much fun 90 posts a minute was, try posting stuff that people can deduce a topic from as all people are doing from these sort of posts are reminiscing again and again, and we're getting nowhere with trying to restore the DCC.

You're great to have in the DCC, so from that I'm sure we can do *something* to make the newer DCCs satisfactory for users to post in.

There are few vets here nowadays, but there are a lot of new members. If I was new and entered this thread to find a load of people moaning and complaining at how things have changed for the worst, I wouldn't want to post in case I made them all turn against me because I was new.

I've never had a warehouse job, so I really wouldn't know. =X My best friend from home is working there and he wants me to join him. The pay was the main thing I found attractive about it. XD We'll see if I end up there or not.

I havn't seen those vidz yet. I was away at a friend's house hanging out for a bit, so I havn't seen the news recently. Although I did just see two VT students interviewed and it was interesting to see their take on the whole thing.

I wouldn't worry about people "turning against you" though. Nobody should get angry at you for expressing your opinion. If so, they are childish. That's what this thread is about anyway, isn't it? Expressing your opinion?
