The Ash and Pikachu Show (Season 1)

ANP #021: The Little Genius

(Cue OP-On Our Way-as the song plays, we see various shots of the Pokemon cast in the backstage area, getting ready for a show: Misty walks past one member of the lighting crew, making her trip and drop her paints, which color some of the notes on Brock's sheet music. He tries to clean the music, only to get walloped by a basketball in the face (thrown by May) Pikachu runs past all of this, down a hallway, and through a door with a star on it marked "Ash". He cries "Pika!" and points at a clock, which is ticking dangerously close to "Show Time!" Ash notices the time on the clock and ducks behind a screen to get ready, when he finishes, he's now decked out in a red top hat (with the same design as his cap) and tails. Ash then runs head on at the camera and makes a flying entrance onto a stage as the song concludes)

Female announcer: And now, it's time for the Ash and Pikachu Show!

(Pikachu climbs onto Ash's shoulder and smiles as the title card flies in from the right, a short clip of "On Our Way" in the background)

(Applause as Ash runs onstage to greet the crowd)

Ash: Thank you so much! Tonight we have a little bit of sibling rivalry...

Max(offstage): Am I on yet?

May(offstage): No, Ash hasn't announced you yet!

Max(offstage): I'm a little nervous...

Ash: See what I mean? (laughter) Anyway, we're featuring someone who may be small, but has enough brains to put an Alakazam to shame! (light applause) So, please welcome Max to the stage. (applause)

(A loud trombone gliss catches Ash's attention. He whirls around to find Brock trying to play a trombone--and not doing a very good job.)

Max: Hey, Ash said this was my show, not yours. (proceeds to drag Brock, trombone and all, offstage)

Ash: Thanks...

May: I don't know whether a sick Golduck would sound better or worse....

Max: He was hogging my spotlight....

(May joins Max and Ash onstage)

May: Here, watch a cartoon to make up for Brock spoiling your big debut...

(starts the projector)

(CARTOON-Maxxed Out!)

(As the cartoon concludes, the soundtrack is mysteriously replaced by an off key and flat trombone)

(We return to the stage, where May, Max, and Ash have their ears covered.)

Ash: Okay, who muted the cartoon's sountrack?

Max: I'd rather listen to a Donphan than this...(stuffs cotton balls in his ears)

(The cane suddenly appears from stage right and yanks Brock offstage, trombone and all)

May: Thanks Misty!

Misty: Anytine! (sticks pencil behind her ear ans heads backstage. Max follows, where he watches Misty prep the drawing board)

(On Our Way interlude plays as title card appears-'Back to the Drawing Board' with Misty". Misty's face appears in the o in "Board")

(A white screen appears, simulating a blank piece of paper)

(Brock is drawn on the screen in his normal clothes)

Misty(voiceover): If you're gonna play trombone, at least do it right! (the pencil draws the trombone from earlier, as well as a music stand and various sheet music.)

(Brock takes his instrument and is about to play something when the phone rings. He sets the trombone aside and storms over to the phone.)

Brock: Hello?...who?...You don't say! (hangs up and returns to the trombone.)
Misty(voiceover): Who was it?

Brock: He didn't say! (is about to play something until the doorbell rings) NOW what? (goes to the front door and returns with a package.)

Misty(voiceover): What is it?

(Brock opens the package to find a few books of sheet music. He selects one and puts it on the stand)

Brock: Now, is there anything ELSE I need to do in order to practice?

(Nincadas chirp)

Brock: Okay...(begins to practice the song. We notice the song's title is "The End Rag")

(Max laughs as Misty draws the final scene)

Max: Now Brock knows how I feel when I get interrupted from something!

(Brock enters, this time holding a harmonica.)

Brock: Look, you guys...I didn't mean to annoy you earlier--

Max: Hey, I can play the harmonica too! (gets his own instrument and plays a random song)

Brock: While he's doing that... (starts the projector)

(CARTOON-"En Gardevoir!", part 1)

(We return to the stage to find Ash, May, Max, and Brock onstage, all holding harmonicas. Brock's is noticably larger than the others)

Brock: Okay, everyone...1, 2, 3...(the group plays "On Top of Old Smokey" in four part harmony: Ash on melody, May on harmony, Max on rhythm, and Brock on bass. When they finish, the crowd applauds)

May: Railroad....(Max obliges and leads everyone into "I've Been Working on the Railroad", complete with realistic train noises. The audience applauds.)

Ash: One more...(he leads everyone into "When the Saints Go Marching In". The audience claps along, and applauds when they're done)
Pikachu: Pika pi! (starts the projector)

(CARTOON-"En Gardevoir!", part 2)

(We join Ash, Pikachu, May, Max, and Brock on the stage)

Ash: Well, we're about out of time....

Max: I did have fun, even if Brock was annoying....can we play our harmonicas some more?

May: Not now, it's time to say goodbye!

Ash: I don't see why we cant! (gets his own instrument) See ya next time!

Pikachu: Pika! (waves goodbye as the curtain closes. A harmonica quartet version of "On Our Way" plays in the background as the credits roll)

THE END

It felt a bit shorter then the others. Maybe its me.

I did notice you misspell a word in this one. Still good.

This one was the FUNNEST I have read. It was great. I play trombone too. Better then Brock so I found this one even funnier. Then the treatment of Brock.

I knew the trombone would get a few giggles....

Next: Dancing, dancing, and more dancing!

hehe, that was cute! Another good one!

U hav such a vivid imagination u r the best writer ever! I just wish I hav a cool imagination like urs! Keep up the good work and I would love to see more of ur fantastic work! :)

ANP #022: Gotta Dance Forever!

(Cue OP-On Our Way-as the song plays, we see various shots of the Pokemon cast in the backstage area, getting ready for a show: Misty walks past one member of the lighting crew, making her trip and drop her paints, which color some of the notes on Brock's sheet music. Female announcer: And now, it's time for the Ash and Pikachu Show!

(Pikachu climbs onto Ash's shoulder and smiles as the title card flies in from the right, a short clip of "On Our Way" in the background)

(Applause as Ash runs onstage to greet the crowd. We notice, however, that Ash's feet are making a clicking noise as he runs.)

Ash: Thank you! You're probably wondering why I've got dancing shoes on...

(Ash is interrupted by a few enthusiastic cheers from the audience)

Misty: I think they know already, Ash...so go on, strut your stuff!

Ash: Okay! (strikes a pose as Misty tunes a banjo and Brock a fiddle. Finally, the music starts....the audience cheers as Ash erupts into a flurry of clicking and stomping to the beat The audience roars with applause when the song concludes. Ash bows, and acknowledges Misty and Brock, who also bow.)

May: Nice footwork, Ash! (applauds)

Pikachu: Pika! (some Riverdance-esque music begins as a chorus line of Pokemon appears behind Pikachu)

Ash: How cute...(starts the projector as the music and dancing continue)

(CARTOON-"Gotta Dance!" part 1)

(Backstage, Misty watches the Pokemon dance as she preps the drawing board)

May: They're doing great out there...

Misty: Yeah...they just gave me an idea too...(goes to work)

(On Our Way interlude plays as title card appears-'Back to the Drawing Board' with Misty". Misty's face appears in the o in "Board")

(A white screen appears, simulating a blank piece of paper)

(Brock is drawn on the screen in his normal clothes)

Misty(voiceover): How'd you like to dance in this year's production of Earthdance? (the pencil draws Brock in an Irish dancer's attire)

Brock: Sure!

(The pencil draws a stage with various tiers for the dancers. Brock tries to dance, but falls on his face every time.)

Brock: How the Earthdancers do this, I'll never know...

Misty(voiceover): Not as easy as it looks, now is it?

Brock: I'm still going to try and dance, if it's the last thing I do!

(We watch as Brock tries to dance and fails again and again...but on about the fifth try, the pencil draws a girl dancer on the stage (that looks suspiciously like Misty)

Misty(voiceover): Maybe you'll do better with a partner...

Brock: Here goes...(music begins, and he begins dancing with the girl, and doing a lot better this time)

(a chorus line appears (the boys look like Brock, and the girls look like Misty), and everyone dances together. When the song concludes, Brock leads the bows as the lights spell "The End")

(May smiles as Misty draws the last scene)

May: You think Brock could do "Earthdance"?

Misty: If he worked on his agility, I bet! (starts cleaning up as May watches the Pokemon dance)

May: They look like they're having fun...and I can just picture Brock as an Earthdancer...

(May's dream sequence-We see Brock in Irish dancing attire, leading a chorus line of dancers in a routine. The band plays a jig in the background.)

(May giggles as she walks to the projector)

Misty: What's so funny?

May: Nothing...(starts the projector)

(CARTOON-"Gotta Dance!", part 2)

(We join Ash onstage--the Pokemon chorus line rests, tired, but Pikachu is still going strong)

Ash: Look at him...just dancing away with no care in the world....(turns on a tape deck)

("Polka o Dolka" begins to play)

Here's your, ticket, hit the floor and kick it!

No sense stayin' in your chair, NO!

Music, pumpin', now the joint is jumpin'!

Flyin' and gliding through the air!

Now's da time, for shakin, for turnin' round and wakin',
Da sleepyhead dat's in your bed, da fun is for da takin'!
Forget about da snoozers, 'cause snoozin's for da losers!
Since everything is lookin' up, so let's party down!

Every single Pok?mon dat knows what is goin' on,
They're here to sing and shake their thing until the break of day, hey!
Check out the way my friends are spinnin', it keep's us all a grinnin' and giddy in a Pok?monic way!

Here's your, ticket, hit the floor and kick it!

"No sense sitting dis one out, no!"
Don't be, tardy, join the Pok?party!
"Time for the Pok?party dance!"

(As the dance break begins, the chorus line dances along, only pausing to partner up for the tango section)

Ash: And now, the grand finale of this dancing story... (starts the projector)

(CARTOON-"Gotta Dance!", part 3)

(We join Ash and the gang on stage...Brock and Misty have their instruments again)

Ash: Well...we're almost out of time for tonight...I had fun with all that dancing...and I hope you did too!

Pikachu: Pika pi!

Ash: See ya next time! (waves goodbye)

(Brock and Misty begin to play a Celtic-ized version of "On Our Way", which Pikachu dances to as the credits roll)

ANP #023: Family Matters

Ash: Thank you! Tonight's guest...umm...er....(tugs shirt collar nervously)

Misty(offstage): What's the matter? Forgot a line?

Ash: NO! Anyway, Tonight's guest...(struggles to think of how to introduce his mom to the audience without revealing that she's his mom)

(Delia appears onstage with a packet of tuna)

Delia: Maybe your favorite lunch should help you remember your lines...

Ash: Tuna...my favorite! Thanks! (goes to work fixing the tuna)

(A few minutes later, Ash spreads the tuna/mayo/relish mixture on a cracker)

Ash: Mom...you can't live without her. (applause as Ash bites into his cracker) So what better way to pay tribute to moms everywhere than by dedicating a show to them--and featuring my own. (gestures to Delia, who bows to the audience. Ash just continues to munch on his cracker.)

(Brock comes onstage, piqued by the munching)

Brock: Why didn't you TELL me you had food out here? I'm starved!

Ash: Thank Mom for the food. (continues eating)

(Brock snatches a cracker for himself and spreads some of the tuna mixture on it. He takes a bite...and makes a disgusted face.)

Delia: I was looking through some old home movies of you...and I found one I think the audience would like. (threads a reel in the projector and starts it)

(After counting down "3...2...1..." the screen shows a shot of a young Ash preparing to play a fiddle for an offscreen audience.)

(Ash sees what's on the screen and nearly chokes on his cracker. Misty runs onstage to see what's wrong)

Misty: What's the matter?

Ash: Mom found this embarrassing home video of me taking fiddle lessons in kindergarten....

Delia: But you sounded great, Ash....

(Misty and Brock wince as the young Ash on the screen begins to play a rather sorry sounding rendition of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". After a few minutes, Misty covers her ears, appalled by the squeaking the young Ash is making. Brock takes his disgust one step further and imitates the young Ash on the screen; using a knife and fork as his "instrument".)

Misty: Nails on a chalkboard or this?

Brock: I'd take the nails on a chalkboard. (continues "playing" his "fiddle")

(Finally, Ash storms over to the projector, turns it off, ejects the reel, and inserts another reel inside)

Ash: Here's something a little easier on the ears...(starts projector)

(CARTOON-"It's Mr. Mime Time!", part 1)

(Back onstage, Delia toys with the home video reel from earlier)

Delia: You did so well with those fiddle lessons...I wonder why you don't play as much any more...

Ash: Oh, but I do! (produces a fiddle from thin air) I've been practicing too!

(Ash proceeds to play Fiddle de Chocobo, much to the delight of the audience)

Delia: Wow! Impressive!

(Ash takes a bow for the audience, before he sees Brock appear in a spotlight.)

Ash: I wouldn't be singing anything if I were you...

(guitar intro)

Brock: You think I've got it all
Everyone thinks I've got it made, well
How come my only friends
Are the ones I pay?

No one understands
What I would do to change my life
For just one day

Don't say if I were you (say if I were you)
Or tell me what to do
How things would be if you were in my shoes
'Cause you're not me

You know what I need
And it's not another serenade
I get so tired of
All the things you say

Give me what I want
If it only would I'd gladly
Throw this all away

Don't say if I were you
(say if I were you)
Or tell me what to do
How things would be if you were in my shoes
'Cause you're not me
Please take me as I am
(take me as I am)
This isn't what I planned
I guess I don't expect that
You could understand
'Cause you're not me

[dance break]

Ash: Let me rephrase that...

Brock: I know you think you're being nice
But spare me all your lame advice
Time to play my hand and roll the dice
Everybody's got their price

For far too long I've been denied
I'm making my move, so just step aside
No one can say I never tried
To do everything to get back my pride

Yeah, you were never me
Why can't you see
That you're not me

Don't say if I were you
(say if I were you)
Or tell me what to do
How things would be if you were in my shoes
'Cause you're not me
Please, help me if you can
(help me if you can)
This isn't what I planned
Guess I don't expect that
You could understand
'Cause you're not me...
(bows as the audience applauds)

Delia: That was nice, Brock...(applauds)

Ash: Now...some more of Mimey....(starts projector)

(CARTOON-"It's Mr. Mime Time!", part 2)

(We return to the stage and see Delia threading another reel in the projector)

Ash: What's that one?

Delia: It's your preschool class play, "The Mage of Arcane".

Ash: Now THIS I can watch... ::returns to his tuna and crackers::

(The audience laughs as young Ash (wearing a costume very similar to his movie 8 costume) cavorts about the stage. Various "Aww's" are also heard through the the audience)

Misty: How cute...

Brock: Even while young, Ash makes a good mage...

Delia: If only he could use magic for real...

Ash: Drifting breeze, come down with fury! Blizzard!

(Blue light flashes from Ash's hands, burying the others in snow)

Ash: Betcha didn't know I knew magic, didja? (applause)

Delia: That was cool, Ash--no pun intended. (laughter as Delia digs herself out of the snow and starts the projector)

(CARTOON-"It's Mr. Mime Time!" part 3)

(We join Ash, Pikachu, and the others onstage)

Ash: Well...it's about that time...and thanks for being on the show, Mom...even if you had those home movies. (mild laughter)

Delia: My pleasure. (Some "Aww"'s are heard as Ash and Delia hug)

Ash: See you next time! (he and Delia wave goodbye)

Pikachu: Pika! (waves goodbye as the curtain closes. "On Our Way" reprise plays as the credits roll)

THE END

AN: Thanks, Dogboy2709 for the song!

Aww,. You didn't let Ash's mom say her famous line.

"Don't forget to wear you know what everyday"

This one would be perfect if you made her say that.

ANP #024: No Contest!

He cries "Pika!" and points at a clock, which is ticking dangerously close to "Show Time!" Ash then runs head on at the camera and makes a flying entrance onto a stage as the song concludes)

Female announcer: And now, it's time for the Ash and Pikachu Show!

(Pikachu climbs onto Ash's shoulder and smiles as the title card flies in from the right, a short clip of "On Our Way" in the background)

(The crowd cheers as Ash and May jog onstage to meet the crowd)

Ash: Thank you! Tonight I felt like dedicating the show to May's pride: contests! (the crowd applauds)

(the applause turns to oohs and ahhs as Brock appears in a nice suit)

May: Uh, Brock?

Ash: I didn't mean THAT kind of contest....

Brock: Does this mean I bought the suit, the tux, the trunks and practiced a guitar solo for nothing? (mild laughter as Brock trudges offstage)

May: Actually, the Pokemon are the stars of these contests! Roll'em, Ash!

(Ash obliges and starts the projector)

(CARTOON-"Win, Lose, or Drew!")

(Backstage, Brock snoozes peacefully on a cot as Misty arrives at the drawing board)

Misty: Look at that...he must be tired tonight. (quietly sets up, being extra careful not to wake Brock)

(Pikachu notices Misty setting up, and carefully tiptoes over to watch)

(Suddenly, a pencil snaps, making Brock stir a little; but he quickly goes back to sleep. Misty winces at her broken pencil.)

Misty(whispering): Well, there goes that pencil. (throws the pencil away and gets a new one) I'll try and draw quietly, too. (Pikachu watches as Misty goes to work)

(On Our Way interlude plays as title card appears-'Back to the Drawing Board' with Misty". Misty's face appears in the o in "Board")

(A white screen appears, simulating a blank piece of paper)

(Brock is drawn on the screen in his normal clothes)

Misty(voiceover): You look tired... (the pencil erases Brock's normal clothes and draws striped pajamas, Nidoran slippers, and a nightcap on him)

Brock: Now what an I supposed to sleep in?

Misty(voiceover): Oops...forgot the bed. (the pencil draws a large bed and a nightstand) and something for you to cuddle. (the pencil draws a Teddiursa plushie on one pillow)

(Brock yawns, climbs under the covers, and dozes off, the Teddiursa plushie sitting by his head)

(The pencil draws a nightstand with an alarm clock next to the bed)

(The alarm clock starts ticking, jarring Brock awake. He looks at it, and it stops. Brock assumes the clock ticking was his imagination and goes back to sleep. No sooner has he done so, the clock starts ticking again. Brock shoots it The Look; and it stops. This continues for several minutes: every time Brock goes to sleep, the clock ticks loudly, and every time he looks at it, it stops)

(Frustrated by this, Brock sleepily opens a drawer on the nightstand, pushes the alarm clock inside, closes it, and goes back to sleep)

(But this only makes the ticking even louder; Brock throws open the drawer and slams the clock back on the stand)

Brock: Couldn't you draw a digital clock that doesn't tick? (the pencil erases the alarm clock and draws a digital clock in its place; whose time reads 10:30 PM. Pleased by this, Brock sets the alarm and dozes off)

Misty(voiceover): Let's make things more interesting... (the pencil draws a fence outside the window, with a lone Meowth sitting on it. Suddenly, "Polka o Dolka" starts playing in the background, jarring Brock awake!)

Brock: What the?

Meowth(singing and dancing on the fence): Now's da time, for shakin, for turnin' round and wakin',
Da sleepyhead dat's in your bed, da fun is for da takin'!

(this is about as far as the Meowth gets before he is creamed with a shoe)

Brock: Finally...(he does off counting Mareeps. Six Mareeps have letters that spell "The End" on them)

(Pikachu skitters up to Misty as she draws the last scene, a silver bike horn in his mouth. He honks it a few times, getting Misty's attention.)

Misty: Yes, Pikachu, I see you have a toy...but don't play with it now...Brock's still sleeping. (gestures to the still snoozing Brock)

Pikachu: Chaa... (Suddenly, seeing Brock lying on his back gives him an idea...he skitters up to Brock, gets a piece of tape, and sticks the bike horn on him. Miraculously, Brock doesn't wake up.)

(Torchic walks in, wondering why Pikachu's giggling at the bike horn stuck to Brock's right pocket)

Torchic: Tor?

Pikachu: Pika pika pika chu... (gestures to the bike horn. Brock stirs a little, prompting Pikachu to whisper) Pi chu pi, Pika pika pipika... (Torchic nods and hurries off to the prop room.)

(We watch as Torchic, Pikachu, Treecko, and Mudkip return from the prop room with even more silver bike horns and begin sticking them in random places on Brock's clothing, including three near his head, in between his legs, and under his arms. Brock doesn't stir through any of this.)

(Their handiwork complete, the Pokemon retreat behind a box to see the prank come to fruition.)

(Finally, Brock yawns and gets up from the cot, oblivious to all the silver bike horns stuck all over him...)

(Back onstage)

Ash: And now, it's time for the musical part of the show...(applause as Brock appears from stage right, the audience howls with laughter. Even Ash and May are laughing.)

Brock: Huh?

May: Look...hee, hee...at what....ha, ha...the Pokemon... (is unable to finish the sentence, she's laughing so hard)

(Brock is still confused by all the laughter, so he reaches for his pocket...and hears a honk. Confused, he feels around him, hearing various honks along the way. The audience giggles as Brock slowly realizes that he has bike horns all over him.)

Brock: Hmm...

(Backstage, the Pokemon are turning purple trying not to laugh. Finally, Mudkip can't stand waiting and doubles over laughing)

(Back onstage, Ash and May are still giggling at the sight of Brock with roughly twenty bike horns stuck all over him)

Brock: SAY... (after some contorting and twisting, he manages to honk a little bit of Beethoven's 5th, much to the delight of the audience)

Ash: Gbbth! (laughs)

(Brock gets an idea...and honks another piece of a classical opus, much to the delight of the audience)

May: I now present, 'Classics for Bike Horn Ensemble and Human', by Brock. (Brock's face turns Charizard red as the audience roars with laughter) We will begin with the first movement of "The Four Seasons". (Brock obliges and honks a little bit from the opus, much to the audience's delight)

(Backstage, all four Pokemon are howling with laughter at their prank)

Ash: Now, the Bike Horn Danube... (Brock obliges, and starts honking the "Blue Danube". The audience claps along, erupting in thunderous applause when he's done.)

(Misty is watching from the wings, clapping along as well to the bizarre spectacle)

Misty: You think THAT'S weird...this guy May faced in her latest contest is even weirder! (starts the projector)

(CARTOON-"A Cacturne for the Worse!")

(We return to the stage, just as Brock unsticks the last bike horn off of him. Pikachu and the others watch nearby)

Brock: Okay, I know you guys got a kick out of me honking the classics, but I've had enough for one night...

(an "Awww" goes up from the audience)

May: I think the audience liked it too, Brock...

Brock: (sigh) Okay, guys...stick'em back on me again! (Pikachu and the others oblige and re-stick the bike horns in their original positions)

Ash: See ya next time! (weakly waves goodbye before laughing again)

(The curtain closes and a bike horn version of "On Our Way" plays as the credits roll. When all the credits run, Misty peeks out from the curtain)

Misty: Who knew a bike horn could play music like this? (closes the curtain)

THE END

This one was great. I see you decided to use the A Cacturne for the Worse seeing that is the last weekday pokemon episode. I like tise one. One more epi left then it is off season.

Oh, But Season 2 gets underway not long after...I like sticking to my schedule

ANP #025: The Ash and Pikachu Awards

Ash: Thank you! Tonight, we want to do our viewers a favor and let THEM pick what they want to see on the show...we're calling tonight the first "Ash and Pikachu Awards!" (mild applause)

(May appears clutching a gold Poke Ball trophy)

May: This is want the award looks like, for the curious....first category tonight is "Best Pikachu Cartoon." (applause. Brock comes onstage, excited.)

Brock: Awards? Did I get nominated?

May: Watch and see! Roll the winning cartoon, Ash!

(Ash obliges and starts the projector)

(CARTOON-"Pikachu and Pichu")

(We join Misty at the drawing board)

Misty: For this special comic....

(May comes by with a box in her arms. Misty looks over, interested)

Misty: What's that?

May: All the comics you've drawn this season...and one of them got an award!

Misty: Is that so?

May: Try and reproduce... (she rummages through the box until she produces a comic with a ribbon on it, presumably the winning comic) This one!

Misty: You got it! (goes to work)

(On Our Way interlude plays as title card appears-'Back to the Drawing Board' with Misty". Misty's face appears in the o in "Board")

(A white screen appears, simulating a blank piece of paper)

(Brock is drawn on the screen in his normal clothes)

Misty(voiceover): I hope you like a duel...(the pencil draws an arena, with Brock standing on the Sapphire side of the Poke Ball) You'll be dueling with Peach. (the pencil draws Peach next to Brock)

Peach: Let's get dangerous...(smooths her leaf back)

Brock: How are we supposed to get dangerous without any opponent to get dangerous with?

Misty(voiceover): Here. (the pencil draws a Gulpin on the Ruby side) There you go.

Brock: Peach, start with a Razor Leaf!

(Peach obliges, but the Gulpin eats the attack!)

Peach: Hmm...

Brock: Peach, try Razor Leaf again! (watches as Peach attacks, but the Gupin eats that too)

Peach: Any more bright ideas, O mighty trainer?

Brock: Hmm...Peach, fire a lot of Razor Leaves! (Peach fires a whole lot of Razor Leaves...but THOSE get eaten!)

Peach: Ergggh....

Brock: Did you draw a Pokemon we can't defeat?

Misty(voiceover): Nope! You have to figure out his weak point!

Brock: Hm...Peach, fire a Solarbeam into the Gulpin's mouth!

(Peach obliges, until the Gulpin explodes!)

Misty(voiceover): Game Set! (a crowd cheers as Brock and Peach wave to the crowd. The stadium scoreboard flashes "The End")

(May watches as Misty tears the last sheet of paper off the pad)

Misty: Here you are, May...a commemorative copy of the "Brock and Peach battle" comic! (gives the paper to May)

May: Thanks!

Misty: Memo to self: buy a new pad of paper for next season...

(Back onstage, Ash is before the grand piano. Brock is also present, guitar in hand)

Ash: Now...after sifting through all the good, bad, funny, and just plain weird songs Brock has sung and played this season...it was really hard to pick one for the award...

Brock: But the fans have spoken, so here you go....take it, guys.

(The piano, bass and drums lead Brock into the song)

Brock: Every time it rains,
I think of you...
And that's the time
I feel so blue...

When the rain starts a-fallin',
My love comes tumblin' down!
And it's rainin...
Teardrops from my eyes!

Well, if you see clouds,
Here in my eyes...
It's just because,
You said goodbye!

Although the sun is shinin',
There's no sunny skies!
You know, it's raining
Teardrops from my eyes!

Remember the night you told me
Our love would always be?
I wouldn't be blue and lonely,
If you'd come back to me!

Every single cloud, would disappear!
I'd wear a smile if you were here!

So baby, don't you hurry?
Cause I need you so!
Cause it's rainin'
Teardrops from my eyes!

(dance break/guitar solo-Various Pokemon do a chorus line behind Brock)

Remember the night you told me
Our love would always be?
I wouldn't be blue and lonely,
If you'd come back to me!

Every single cloud, would disappear!
I'd wear a smile if you were here!

So baby, don't you hurry?
Cause I miss you so!
Cause it's rainin', yeah!
Teardrops from my eyes!
Teardrops from my eyes!
Teardrops from my eyes!
Teardrops from my eyes!
(wild applause as Brock, Ash, and the band bow)

May: Let's not forget "Best Prank or Gag by Brock"!

Ash: That's easy...the bike horn prank! (starts the projector)

(After counting down "3...2...1..." the screen projects a recap of the gag)

Misty: I remember that...in fact...why not let Pikachu show us his movie again!

Pikachu: Chu! (He hurries off, only to return with a reel of film. Ash thread the reel into the projector and starts it.)

(CARTOON-"The Treasure of Alph")

(We join the whole cast onstage)

Ash: Well gang, we did it...25 shows; one complete season! (wild applause)

Brock: A toast! (raises a soda can) To 25 more shows...and successful seasons!

All: To another successful season! (the cans clink together)

Ash: See ya next time, and next season!

Pikachu: Pika! (waves goodbye as the curtain closes. "On Our Way" plays as the credits roll)

THE END
