Welcome, one and all, to the Aviary!

Bird Pokemon! If you love 'em as much as I do (or even close), this is the place for you.

What a bird Pokemon? Anything with wings and a beak! Type doesn't matter, the dragon Altaria has wings and a beak and even flightless birds are awesome (don't make me sic my Empoleon on you!).

The rules are easy:

1. Be nice. No insulting other members or groups.
2. Obey all general PC rules.
3. Try to stay on-topic: Bird Pokemon (or even just real birds).

Since I'm starting this latest incarnation of bird club, I get to pick our official mascot: It's Orville, the heroic Pidgey with a dream from the Pokemon anime episode "Fly Me To The Moon!" Let's give him a warm welcome.

Ummm...well, my favourite flying-types don't have beaks (Salamence,Dragonite).

However, i love Empoleon, coz it's a penguin, and Zapdos and Articuno, coz they're cool (And Zapdos has a beak, he can do drill peck). Hate Moltres though, stupid thing.

So how about we discuss which birds would make good new Pokemon in the future.

What about one based on the avocet?

There aren't really any long-legged wading bird Pokemon, and look at that adorable beak!

hmmm...i'd prefer a Flamingo. A flamingo which has a shiny with the colour scheme of those 2 stood behind it.

Another interesting project might be to imagine bird Pokemon that could fit into the few categories that don't currently have any:

Ghost
Grass
Rock
Ground
Poison

There's no point in considering Bug, I guess. :)
