So, the Battle Resort is a brand new location, introduced in and exclusive to OR/AS. It has several battle-related amenities, including the Battle Maison, Move Tutors, and several trainers whom you can battle every day. So, what are your thoughts on the Battle Resort? Did you enjoy it in the games? What did you find most useful about it?

    Best resort ever 5/7

Joking aside, my main activity on this odd island is Pokemon breeding. It's convenient because the Move Tutors and IV checker's located there.

Hmm the Battle Maison, there's nothing too special about it. It's just a repackage of Battle Subway/Battle Tower, if there's anything special about it is rematch with Wally, I suppose...?

I'd really like to bring up Battle Frontier, but I'm tired of ranting the same shoot over and over again. -shrugs-

I mean, I certainly appreciate that it brought us our move tutors, and gave us a good egg-hatching location complete with nearby Day Care. But did I enjoy it? No, not particularly. Egg-hatching isn't a particularly engaging activity (and even with the 6th-gen conveniences, it's still more tedious than enjoyable), and the Battle Maison can easily be replaced by online battles--and those two things are the only activities you can participate in at the Battle Resort.

The Battle Resort serves as a sort of "preparation hub" for competitive play, with the Day Care, tutors, and quick access to the Battle Maison (aka "battle practice"), but it doesn't fill the void left by the exclusion of the Battle Frontier. The only reason why I'm at the Resort so often in-game is because I had to take up competitive play to give myself something else to do with the games since the Resort doesn't offer any new features or facilities, which means I have to be there to hatch a lot of Eggs.

I love your positive and informative insight. I agree with your opinion, particularly the "preparation hub" for competitive play. For more or less, Battle Maison have contributed to my interest on competitive battling. If it weren't the said facility, I might not be getting into the competitive field! (:
