I have always loved Wario, and I still find his platforming games more amusing than Mario's.
But, thanks to the RPG's, and in an increasing level which started with my old "Player 2" age, I think I have to vote Luigi. He's the shadow of the hero... and I always like his kind of person better than the "It's a-me, Mario!".

So yeah, Luigi.
 
Like a lot of people here, Luigi is the best to me (did you not see my Brawl Card?).

Everyone's favorite man in green needs a little more recognition (Luigi's Mansion 2 anyone?)! He's more funnier than all the others too. Besides exploring a giant haunted house with a vacuum, everytime Luigi wants to do something, Mario always beats him to it, like going to space. This is why Luigi is always in Mario's shadow, and all that negative energy from being there all the time finally shows itself when you use his Final Smash in Brawl.

Aside from that, Luigi needs more attention. He's been neglected for too long, and needs his own Super Luigi game series. But he's been my favorite Mario character since Super Mario World. Luigi's way better too. He can jump higher and farther, run on water, slow his fall by spinning, blow people to the sky with a well-aimed flaming punch, shoot lightning from his hand, and many other things.

Actually, my vote goes to the construction worker, doctor, soccer player, basket ball player, golfer, tennis player, kart racer, fighter, and carpenter; Mario. =D Sorry sweeties, Mario is number 1 in my book. ^^

I do agree that Luigi needs to be more in the spotlight, he's been in Mario's shadow for way too long. Maybe a game where Luigi saves the Princess...or was it the bagel? XD
But yeah, Luigi gets no justice. Did anybody play Super Princess Peach? When Peach saves Luigi, she refers him to the "Green Guy." That's just cold. Also Luigi and Daisy need to appear together in a full-fledged platformer or RPG. Luigi X Daisy, for teh wins, foo'. XD

Anyway, I think Mario is more awesome. Because...uhm...he has a cooler voice than Luigi, he's more fat than Luigi and his Brawl final smash isn't a load of dance. xD

Anyway, how are Wario and Waluigi even plumbers? O.o On that note, isn't Luigi a rich, vacuum-cleaner-driving casino owner? And only Mario's the plumber? I swear I remember it that way.

Yeah, I vote Luigi just because he is green, hes 'Mama Luigi' and Luigi Mansion was a good game. Oh, and hes basically mario except he normally can run faster and maybe jump higher? I'm not sure on that one...(except on Super Paper Mario.)

I think Luigi is ultimate to everybody else in the Mario series, But Mario made Luigi famous then It wouldn't be the Mario Bros without Luigi.
 
Wario and Waluigi really aren't plumbers. You ever see them do anything plumbing-wise? Not that I know of. So, they shouldn't really be on here. This really shouldn't be a poll question.

The real meat of the discussion is Mario and Luigi. They are plumbers. Sure, Mario is more famous than his brother, but my vote goes to Luigi. He deserves to be in the spotlight more often.
