The Best of All Starters (In Your Humble Opinion)

Vote for who you think is the greatest of all starters. Also say who and/or why you like that starter or any other starter.

My personal favortie would be Squirtle. I guess I'm addicted to the fact that it can become a 5 foot something turtle with cannons sprouting out of it's shell. Also because Blastiose is a solid water type. I think water Pokemon I think Blastiose...

Co-sign... I can't get enough of my Typlosion and that Eruption attack. I'll abuse that attack so much while double battling in the D/P battle tower.

I always liked them all...all were pretty powerful.

But the one I always used to pick on R/B and FR/LG was Squirtle.
Blastoise is a powerhouse, and a pretty good defensive Pokemon once it learns Protect, and can go toe to toe with Grass types if you teach it Ice Beam/Blizzard. And since I played those games the longest, you could say I have used them the most.

But I also have a liking for Blaziken/Infernape.
The fighting/Fire hybrid is pretty effective. =]

Venusaur - skanky
totodile's second evolution looks like a caveman. feraligator isn't bad though
I hate all from the third generation.
Infernape looks skanky as well.

Though charmeleon is one of my favorite pokemon out of all of those..when it evolves into charizard, it gets wings and a beer belly.

I always like Chikorita and Totdile, but I'd have to say Cyndaquil. All of his evolutions look pimp, and plus, he's just so darn cute. XD

I was just asking you a question respectfully because I had no idea what you meant by it. I mean... this is Pokemon that we are talking about. I just wouldn't expect anybody to say that one of them looks "skanky"... I simply wanted you to explain how.

My guess with that is that Grovyle's name is based off of a grove while Grotle's name is based off of a grotto. Thats my only assumption and because of it, I doubt that they are running dry with names.

EDIT: No one likes Hoenn or Sinnoh starters? I would have thought Torchic and Chimchar would've had a crap load of votes by now. All due to the fact that they both at some point take on Fighting Pokemon attributes. More votes please!

Give me a good ol' Swampert any day. With its Ground-typing, it's immune to Electric types. Sure, it has a four-time weakness to Grass, but trained correctly, it might be faster than a few Grass-types and able to fire off an Ice Beam. Plus, I enjoy its design immensely.

It's a monkey. Of course it might do that. Monkeys do that as a bonding tool.

And I grew up hearing a lot of slang terms, and "skanky" isn't one I hear being used to describe Pokemon. >>;

I'd say the lizard line. A good movepool, high attack, and a very good evolution chain. I'd go for them.​

Swampert is the best hands down. With good attack, only 1 weakness, good defenses, and good HP..Why wouldnt it be?
