    Not counting legendaries....

    I would probably say Eggsecutor.

    I'm just wondering because I've already got 2 other half-psychics on my team...(Jynx and Starmie)

    So, would Eggsecutor be a stretch? Or should I go with the classic Vileplume/Victreebel?

    If I do choose Eggsecutor, I will back it up with a Heracross or something to take out Dark types.

    Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
     
    The problem with the Egxecute family is their heavy weakness pool, suffering from attacks against Fire, Flying, Ice, Poison, Ghost, Dark and Bug types, which is far too many weaknesses for a Pokemon to have.

    I'd say go with Vileplume. But my favourite grass type of Soul Silver is, again, Vileplume.
     
    I really enjoy Vileplume. It is the perfect addition to a team.
    However, I'm not sure if it is really the best grass-type. :cer_confused:
     
    I'd have to say Venusaur if you chose that as your Kanto Starter after beating Red, Sceptile despite the same conditions as Venusaur, or Tangrowth due to its sheer bulk.
     
    If you have access to it, I would say Meganium. He had awesome stats! If not, you could use Roserade.
     
    This seems too generic a thread, imo - if we have one for grass types or fire types, why not then have one for every type? Which would just end up clogging up the section and begs the question of 'couldn't you apply this to any other Pokemon game either', which'd result in the answer of the Pokemon Voting Polls subsection of Pokemon General being a more suitable location for such threads. Plus, if you want advice on Pokemon to use in your team, you should check out the In-game Team help subsection of Competitive Battling Centre's section, not here (as stated in the rules of this section).
