Ok, Iron Defense it is. I think besides a few minor details, that we are, for the most part, done. I think this would be a very difficult team to beat. It took a while, but its pretty much done. I tried going through the item list and i picked out some of the items that we could use. All the ones bolded were added.

Didn't we agree on a Sassy natured Dusknoir, so Shadow Punch still does some damage. It doesn't make any sense to me to decrease Dusknoir's attack when his Shadow Punch is our only super effective attack against ghost types, and one of two moves to take down psychics(even though they tend not to be overly good defensef types).
 
Yeah, we agreed on Sassy. I never noticed he put Calm.
 
I just wish i hadn't been so busy yesterday, I hadn't made a post since page 5 and I missed a lot but everything seems to be looking pretty good.
I think Salamence as an individual would do better with thunder fang because most steel types can't survive an earthquake but since Metagross alredy has thunder punch and our team doesn't ahve anyone else with a fire attack, i think fire fang was the best desicion.
One more thing on Salamence we could possibly throw in flamethrower instead of Fire fang and scrap DD(i finally figured out what that means) for a move like Crunch so we can take down ghost's. But I've never played competitively.
In my opinion i jsut don't know if Salamence NEEDS dragon dance, but I'm not questioning it's useullness thats for sure.

Edit:After I reread my post I realised it sonds too much like you guys needed me but that of course is not the case, There's tons of people on this board with good ideas, iw as just worried I wouldn't be let back in to the discussion XD

The reason we didnt choose Flamethrower is because we are focusing on his physical power. We can power up Fire Fang with DD or Sword Dance. No that you bring it up, we dont have anything other than shadow punch. We could give up DD for Crunch, what do you guys think?
 
I like using DD though, since I have lots of experience in Competitive Battling with Salamence in front. I just use it more easily. That's just my opinion though.

I mentioned flamethrower because somewhere back I read that DD raises our attack enough to make Fire Fang almost equal to Flamethrower but if we replaced DD with Crunch(Ghost, Fighting and Dark i think are the only types we havn't covered, when not counting Dusknoir) then Flamethrower would be superieur but after reviewing it I think Fire Fang's the right choice. Adamant nature seems to be the best fit for our Salamence and since we're lowering its Sp. Atk then that makes flamethrower pointless.

Since we havn't covered fighting or dark and since we don't really have anyone to learn a good fighting move (except focus punch which would screw up our whole strategy, a big NO to this) i think a flying move would be something to consider.

It is impossible to be perfect though and i think our team is about as versatile as it gets, so I don't think theres really any change that is nessicary.

I think it's time to review all the pokemon throw a couple more quarters into the pot and think we're done. congratulations everybody but I'll let Vainz make the final call.

I wonder how this team would really perform though. On paper it is always near flawless but in reality who knows?
 
I would first like to thank you guys for posting. I never thought that this thread would be this successful. I dont think we need to worry about Crunch/Arial Ace because we do have Dusknoir. I agree with McWoot about DD. It is a very important move to a physical sweeper because it increases the two stats that are the most important to it. Thats the only big choice left to make.

Shouldnt Metagross also hav more EVs pumped into his speed. He is our Physical sweeper. HP is important but it shouldnt get the full 252.
 
I got a PM from sims796, and he had a brilliant idea. After we are officially done with this team, i will start a new thread called, Combating The Best Team. We are going to try to make a team that could beat ours. By doing this, not only could we find out new ways to improve our original team, but we could also continue these sorts of threads. Thank you sims796.

I agree about Metagross getting some speed, so lets change his EV's to this:

Agreed. Metagross has naturally high defences doesn't it? So no EV's in defence.
 
That is fine. But I still think Agility would suit us better but meh Thunderpunch is great too. They both have assets to the team. But since we don't have Agility. (evne with Agility it is recommended to put at least 100 speed EVs) Metagross needs all the speed it can get.

As do I. If we are making Mence a physical sweeper, why not go all the way with DD?

i would have said get rid of baton pass and iron defense on scizor and give it roost and iron head for the heal and an extra STAB attack, i say scizor is a fighter, leave ninjask to baton passing. also make it an adamant nature, scizor is not a speedy pokemon
