If you have Air Slash and Flamethrower, what if you're last against a rock/ground type? Also, I don't know if max defense on Blissey does anything, she has like 10 base defense.

Well we cant possibly cover every weakness. Plus the 60% of flinch as to pull ol'Togekiss through.

Max defense on a Blissey is a must. That is why everyone is running around with one that is Bold too. (+Def , -Atk) Despite her fatty umm godly base HP she could cave in right to a mediocre physical attack that she isnt even weak too. Imagine a ThunderPunch take out 350 HP. Max defense makes her more fat...durable.

Ohh Counter was good in G/S/C but it wont do much for poor old Bliss these days. Most physical attacks dent her in. Blissey is best served as a special wall so no point in putting on Counter. Not to mention if she was up against a special sweeper she has no means of attack. Seismic Toss is good because it can take chunks of 100 HP off per use.

Yeah usually you use EVs to bolster a good stat but in Blisseys case you use EVs to bolster a sad excuse of a defense.

Aiiiieee. I'm sick & tireed of the word EV. I try my best to understand, but I just fall short.

Instead we should have really focused on the team as a whole to see what the team was weak to too. Thus the reason no one saw the big Umbreon and bunch of other flaws etc.

Togekiss@ Leftovers
Timid (+ Spd, -Atk)
EV: 252 Sp. Atk / Spd 200 / HP 58
-Air Slash
-Thunder Wave
-Nasty Plot
-Roost

If we're going with a roosting Togekiss, wouldn't it be a good idea to give it some defense EV's(sorry Sims) to make up for the potential ground attacks it could be taking. I also like Flamethrower better than Thunder Wave, when Togekiss was first suggested, it was meant to be Sp. sweeper and it only has one attack in the moveset you listed.

Also just throwing this out there, i know it has horrible Attack but if your so worried about speed you could throw Extremespeed in there, it would get a STAB benefit. Don't really think this will be taken seriously though because it would probabley mean a total revamp of EV's.

Hmm I am okay with replacing Thunder Wave with Flamethrower. I just like inflicitng pain amongst my opponents. Seeing as we going for a fast Togekiss we could drop Thunder Wave altogether.

Hmm with Roost I dont think we can really expend any EVs into Defense. Togekiss already has it made with 95 base Defense and 115 base Special Defense. We want her or most likely him to strike quickly and inflict as much damage as possible.

Sounds like youre trying to make it a CS Pokemon. Anyway, I also agree that we shouldn't waste evs for defense. Its defense is already pretty good, and it needs as much special attack and speed as posible.

Most likely she would survive.

Counter isn't the best, you would probably just switch out if it were for a physical sweeper, defenses like that wouldn't last long against even the smallest attack, even with IVs, EVs and Nature. Flamethrower probably wouldn't be a selection of Togekiss, 20 percent burn isn't enough. Although Burn does lower attack, you wouldn't spend all that time Flamethrowering a Rock and Ground type, as Wooty stated. Aura Sphere is a great counter. Most Rock types have a minor special defense, Aura Sphere will do great. probably 1HKO if you use Hustle-kiss. Flinch-kiss is great too.

Well she could be a CS Pokemon but since she has Roost she might as well be a tank with those Defenses.

Basically Togekiss is somewhat in the same category as Starmie. A quick and effective Special Sweeper that can remian in battle for a long time if the opponenet doesnt figure out how to get rid of it.

CS? What is that?

Togekiss is quite amusing. She has some very good stats, and Roost could be used for proper prediction.

CS is Choice Scarf. Yeah I was confused and got it a bit til later. XD

Counter is awesome, an unstabed fighting move still only does about 40 - 50% not critical hit, I took out richard Steel's meta that way, it's so unexpected it is awesome! (And I think I took out one of your pokemon punishment? No it was spikes, lol)

Also, Punishment, Rawr! I hate explosion on metagross, such a wasted move, when he agility's he is faster than heracross, and a zen headbutt is a KO!, So I would go with Zen headbutt over explosion.

(And I think I took out one of your pokemon punishment? No it was spikes, lol)

Let's not go there shall we? Your Starmie would have been doomed if it werent for an unfortunate turn of events. XD

Well Counter is unexpected but it really degrades Blissey as the fat sponge she is. Sure we might score an instant KO but the next sweeper on the line has a good chance of knocking her out if we dont switch her out. There is the Boltbeam Blissey take catches people tremendously of guard too.

Boltbeam Bliss
-Calm Mind
-Softboiled
-Thunderbolt
-Ice Beam

Noi boltbeam. We don't need her to retaliate, just absorb.

Meh was trying to stir some more discussion on the uses of Blissey. I still stand by the STTWSA (Seismic Tossing Thunder Waving Softboiling Aromatherapist).

First of all, lets talk about Togekiss's EV's. If you want to use EV's on Speed, then do not use Thunder Wave. Same Vise Versa. Personaly, I like using Thunder Wave, because there is the added bonus that they might not attack that turn. The only problem with Thunder Wave is those pesky Ground Types. Still, i would like to see EV's go on other things then speed, when most likely you could get the same effect with Thunder Wave. No one really said wither or not they wanted Hustle or Grace Togekiss. I vote Grace, because i like seeing the enemy in pain.

I am going to be honest. Blissey is a horrible idea. That is my honest opinion, like ir or not. Everyone is equiping their teams to take on a Blissey these days. It would be unwise to use it. Thats why original choices have great benefit. If everyone else wants to use Blissey, then ill put her on the team, but i think its a terrible idea. I know we want Aromatherapy, but we dont have to have Blissey for that.

I would rather give Salamence Flamethrower for Skarmory, because i really like Aura Sphere. I would also like to say that i hate Choice items. They can be very unhelpful at some times.

Togekiss@ Leftovers
EV's ???
Nature: ???
-Air Slash
-Aura Sphere
-Thunder Wave/Roost
-Nasty Plot/Flamethrower

Did we suggest Roserade? I doh't remember.

We did before as an aromathrapist. I still think if we need one, she's our plant-thing. Anyway, I agree with Blissey being a bad idea. I think it's pretty late to use her. Maybe in the 3rd gen lol.

Would any of you guys like to try a Roserade? Just post if you think if it is a good or bad idea.

It sounds good if we need an aromatherapist, but i don't know what we'd take off for it. Sounds hard, but if we can figure out what to take off, then yes.

I think that the only way you should use blissey is if you sqeeze skarm in there also. Mainly because of their wall power and spikes/stealth rock/whirlwind annoyer set.
