Maybe it's because they are father and Son? I think they're the only father/son soul reaper tandem there is. Or it has something to do with ichigo being born a soul reaper/human/hollow thing, idk. @__@

The Zanpaktou being similar and having the same techniques is a way of them showing how close together Ichigo and his dats souls are together i guess. There was a similar thing with Hyōrinmaru, Hitsugaya and his friend if i remember the film correctly.

Nel. She seems to have vanished. I think the last time i saw her was fighting with Nnoitra. I didn't go that far back to start the manga so did something happen to her? i think all of the Espada have been killed so Las Noches must be pretty lonely atm.

Well kinda what lapras said, a father and son have a close bond, and since one was created by the other, I think its natural they'd be similar. I guess their souls are similar, like Lapras's Hitsugaya reference.

I think he'll somehow get his powers back sooner or later, his dad got his powers back after 20 years o.o

But if Kubo did bring Ichigo's powers back, then it'll be quite quick due to Ichigo being a "Quick and Easy" learner.
Example : Bankai - Aquired within 3 days, practised and matured in a few hours (Bankai would usually mature after 100 years of practising).
Shinigami powers - Aquired within 5 days (originally 10), practised for five days.

Well what i was sort of saying is, that since Ichigo was basically created by Isshin (If you put it bluntly) thier souls would be simialr, as they have a close father/Son relationship. And what lapra said about Hitsugaya and his friend is true of Ishhin and Ichigo too I think.

Does anybody know what Isshin's Zanpaktou translates to be in english?
