Do you think Drapion should be a Bug type?
I've heard some people say it shouldn't because it Scorpions aren't really insects/bugs. But seriously I can't think of any other type where Drapion or Skorupi would fit in. The closest type I'd fit Drapion under would provably be steel, something about it makes me think steel. Though I like it being part bug type

What is one bug type Pokémon you love, but wouldn't like to see in real life?
Genesect - I don't why I sorta have a dislike to that pokemon

Hey I made some userbars for the club. 5 to be exact, but it's the same bar just different Pokemon. If someone wants a certain Pokemon for a bar, just ask me. ^^

Why not? If you really want to be technical about things, then Spinarak/Ariados and Joltik/Galvantula shouldn't really be Bug type either because they're not bugs, they're arachnids. I see no problem with Drapion being a bug type, really.

Basically the two that was mentioned above: Genesect and Scolipede. Genesect would be a bit creepy (and more dangerous than the rest) to see in real life, and I would rather like to avoid Scolipedes and their Steamrollers attacks, tyvm.

Thank you so much for those! I added them to the OP along with my new userbars.

I can see why it's a Dark type, but honestly I always thought it was more Bug type than Dark. After all, its pre-evo is Poison/Bug, too.

Beedrill. Despite how much I love it, I'm sort of afraid of Bees and especially Wasps due to certain..."events". :x

Man Spin, your userbars are so much more pro. If I get better with gfx I'll redo mine. XD

On a more bug-related note: AWWWWW~

Ooooo bug club, I want to join. Can my partner be Arceus-Bug?

I remember seeing that in my deviantart favorites, regardless, it's absolutely adorable.

To make this post worthwhile:

While Poison/Dark is excellent typing, I think it should be, mainly because Aaron of the Elite Four uses it as his signature Pokemon and it's based off of a Scorpion, which are closely related to insects.

Even though its my favorite Pokemon, I'd be pretty scared of Scizor, it could hurt me pretty badly if I angered it, by accident.

Can I join please?

I'm not a fan of some Bug Pokemon but there are ones that do catch my eye.

My fave Bug Pokemon are Beautifly, Butterfree, Leavanny, Vespiquen and Yanmega! (I especially loved seeing Jessie's Yanmega in the anime! Pretty weird she was actually female.)

Hi. Unfortunately for you, I'm too lazy to find an Arceus-Bug party icon. So here's a Caterpie.

Hi! I'm not really fond of Yanmega to be honest, but Yanma is adorable. :>

Speaking of Yanmega, there's a lot of Bug/Flying type Pokemon out there, this gives me a topic idea.
What's your favorite Bug/Flying type Pokemon?
Pretty simple topic. But I think it'll do for now.

What's your favorite Bug/Flying type Pokemon?

BUTTERFREE! Apart that it is the final evolution of Caterpie (xD) It's face is just as cute as Caterpie's is! I really loved Ash's Butterfree with it's yellow scarf and I was sad when he released it!

Oh man almost forgot about Scyther! Scyther definitely comes a close second to favourite flying and bug types. A had a bit of a liking for Tracey's Scyther though all it's moves were normal type and didn't have any flying or bug type moves which I wish it did. I liked it when it used Sword Dance though. I remember Bugsy's Scyther also had sword dance which was pretty cool how he used it to block Ash's Cyndaquil's fire type moves. That episode had to be one of my favourites!

I used to be such a huge fan of Scyther. I remember hunting it in Fire Red (or was it Leaf Green? Can't remember.) and catching every single one I find, just because I loved Scizor too and always wanted one. I still remember the day I caught Scyther in Pokemon XD and found out it was holding a Metal Coat. I got SO happy when I got a Scizor haha. Scyther was also one of my favorite Pokemon in the anime. I also used to pick Treecko just so I can get its friend area for Scyther in Blue Rescue Team. (Not really, Treecko used to be my favorite starter. But I never restarted without Treecko because Scyther was my favorite team mate.)

Now? Not so much. I still like it a lot but my favorite Bug/Flying goes to Masquerain. It's so freaking adorable aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa <33

I am signing up right now Bug is ultimateley favourtie type and have always wanted to join a club. Partner will be Vespiquen
Favourite Bug/Flying?
Well seeing as i just chose vespiquen as my partner It is Vespiquen. I love how it is so rare and controls all the combee. Also THREE signature moves. Oh Lord.
Masquerain, Scyther, Ledian, Butterfree and Ninjask are all close as well.

Hello! It's nice to see someone whose favorite type is bug. :>

Vespiquen is such an odd yet interesting Pokemon imo. The fact that Combee must be female in order to evolve was pretty weird at first, but it does make since. I never really got the chance to use her, but she was so annoying when I was facing Aaron in D/P/Pt. Her signature moves was trolling me bad. :< She seems really fun to use, not gonna lie. She has better stats than any other Bug/Flying type (102/102 defenses is pretty amazing!) and Pressure makes her viable in stall in NU. The typing isn't doing a big favor for her though, sadly. I was never really a fan of Bug/Flying. (One of the reasons why I really want Masquerain to be Bug/Water like Surskit. :< )

YES I 100% agree wtih this
Water/Bug , maybe with leviatate. Masquerain deserves this so much

I am stuck between Vespiquen and Masquerain!

Well, I see that no one has claimed poor Masquerain, therefore, she will be my partner!

I also wish that the typing was bug/water!

I really wanted to see an ant pokemon. Was anyone else disappointed in Durant's design?

In response to my upset, I created a mound-hill ant and a fighting-drone ant evolutionary line!

I disagree, I think Durant is a great Pokemon based on Ants. I wasn't disappointed with it at all, I think it was perfect. It looks exactly like an Ant, it behaves exactly like an Ant (They attack in group, they build nests together, etc.) and it's rivals with Heatmor, which is based on an Anteater. Heck, even its stats is close to what an ant would have, just maybe a little too strong for an Ant. (Ants are fast and some species got a very strong bite. The only thing unusual is the big defense, but I guess it's there to reflect its steel typing.)
Battling-wise, it's not bad at all either! 109 base attack and speed, and 112 adorable base defense. Hustle is basically a free Choice Band to raise its already high attack, and with Hone Claws/Scope Lens you can just laugh at the accuracy drop. Bug/Steel is one of the best typing in the whole game, imo. Only problem it has is the lack of good coverage. Bug/Steel doesn't really provide any amazing coverage sadly, and the only things Stone Edge hit are Electric/Flying and Fire types. It needs a way around steel types. :x

I think Durant is a great Pokemon that reflects on real life Ants, and it's really a great Pokemon in general. Definitely one of the best Bug types out there, but it's just so underrated. :\
