I didn't se her at all in the manga. I'll bet CLAMP drew her as a backup character in the anime. I seem to remember her being in it quite a bit.

..To tell the truth, I only have seen the time card epy, the lightning card epy, and the card where Sakura and Li go in the cave. (I forgot what card that was XD)
Yet I have all the manga...I'm the type who really prefers manga more than anime. There's only one series I can think of that I think the anime is better in..

I dunno....manga is always more truthful than the anime(Inuyasha is an exception)I've read series like "To Heart".The manga is awesome and the art is pretty. =33 so I must agree with you that manga is better than anime.

About the Meilin concept,I guess yeah,a backup character to make the show intersting and to furthermore create a love triangle with Sakura,Li ans Meilin.

Yup, ya heard of "CLAMP No Kisaki?" It's this magazine that comes with chibi chess pieces of all of CLAMP's main characters. I have volumes 1-4 right now. Anyways, they had an interview with CLAMP in there about CCS and they did mention about Meilin. Yeah, and it was for that reason..^^

Actually, I bought the first volume of CLAMP No Kiseki yesterday. Very pricey. I think it was a waste of $30... And yet, the chibi Sakura is so freaking cyute!!
