The Children Are Hunted

Thomas saw something odd. Mark seemingly appeared out of nowhere. He looked odd. He was kind of like he was part of the light, there, but not there. He said something about focusing on his power. He's been doing that the whole time. He had to focus, or he'd be dead by now. He deflected another gale-force burst of wind.
"Whatever you're planning, hurry it up! I can't keep dodging lightning bolts! We need to get that person away from her! Or I can't wear her down enough to come to her senses!" Thomas said, though he had no idea how he was going to do that.

Enter the Devisers

((Aiyaiyai. Did not see that coming, either.))

Garet and Leo, as well as a few other RDM members, were barely out of the city limits, which was as close as they could get without being blown away by the furious wind that had begun blowing when they'd arrived. Leo had gotten the coordinates that Merin had sent him, and both he and Garet had heard Agatha's message.

"A fourth CT??" Leo repeated for the fifth time as they watched what they could. "Since when had the location of a fourth CT been known?"

"Worry about it after this is over!" Garet snapped back. He was more worried that this storm that had sprung out of nowhere seemed to be connected to the fourth CT that Agatha had mentioned just minutes ago.
As it was, there was no way he could think of for anyone or anything to get through this wind. It was hard enough to stay on the ground, and the wind was probably worse closer to the center of the storm. Which, going by the location and the coordinates Leo had received, seemed to be close to the RV that the CTs and their company had. Garet couldn't see it from where he was. "Any idea where Merin is?" he asked Leo.

"With this storm that's coming up, no!" was the answer. Leo turned to the other Pokemon that seemed to have also been radioed by Agatha. "Probably the best way to get close enough to stop the source of the storm is to go underground! We need one or two of you who can dig fast!"

Twists and Turns.

Mark 's eyes began to glow a bright white. The scene changed. It flashed a bright white and suddenly a burst of light was unleashed. Arlanda was stunned and fell back. Mark instantly ran to her. The holographs seemed to fade. Then, something stranger happened. All three CT's began to glow. Mark felt his body tremble. Was this the power that would come from CT's coming together. The light swerved in between them. Arlanda looked around as the light flowed as if fish in a perfect ocean. The Forever Ocean. A voice boomed throughout the scene.

The first of the clues has been dispersed. My job here, is done.

What clues? Mark looked over at Thomas then back at Arlanda. She seemed so cold.

"Are you okay?"

"I-I'm sorry." she croaked before closing her eyes and falling into a deep sleep.

Thomas was startled as Mark joined them in the light. He had been there, but still been in the real world. Even stranger was what happened next. He watched a light that wasn't his own and listened to it say something about a clue. What clues? Thomas had so many questions. Thomas walked over and caught Arlanda as she fell.

"Um... I don't get it. I'm going to bring us back. And don't worry about her. I'm pretty sure it's just her backlash catching up to her. I already feel mine, and if you don't already, you will soon," Thomas said. He reached out his hand and grabbed Mark's shoulder. He brought all three of them back to the real world. Esper gave a joyous cry and ran over to him.
"I'm alright Esper!" Thomas said softly. He set Arlanda down gently and sat himself down roughly. His vision had already faded to white again. He could see several somethings out there moving.

Triger was forced to land. This was not a natural storm, and it was very hard to fly in. He talon walked until he was near Leo and Garet.
"So, this new CT is making a mess of things isn't she? I can't fly in this. And if I can't fly, almost no one else can either! How are we supposed to get through?!" Trigger shouted over the wind. He huffed. He normally was an expert at flying through storms. In fact, there had been rumors a while back that he would change his name to Stormflier. But he didn't like the sound of that. But still, this storm was something else. It was bad down here on the ground, but it was an absolute nightmare in the air!

"Underground," Garet answered. A Gabite had stepped forward to where the ground wasn't paved over, where she began digging furiously in the direction that Leo pointed out. "As long as this storm is here, I doubt any of us here could get to the cause of it aboveground. If this fourth CT was held by the RDM before, then we need to get him or her back in custody." The Arcanine didn't mention anything about the other CTs in the area.

Leo looked up at the storm again, then frowned. It...wasn't easing up a bit...was it? He rubbed his eyes. Maybe he hadn't slept enough recently.
Where was Merin, anyways? Did he let himself be blown away with the wind? Leo grinned to himself. That would be an amusing streak of being tricked or tossed around by CTs.

Mirrors.

Merin saw Garet and Leo. He walked across in the middle of the storm, hiding from the humans. From what he could tell, Arlanda had great power. She had escaped the RDM prison. Agatha is going to have a field day when she hears that she has made friends with the boy CT's. But, something good came of this. He looked down in his hand. It was a mirror, a strange one at that. It had come from the explosion of light. The culmination of power had released this mirror and now he had it. But, there were so many bursts of light similar to the one that had released the mirror. He wondered if they had spread all over Pangaea. Nevertheless, he motioned to the other RDM Devisers. The storm finally began to calm down.

"I wouldn't send someone through at the moment. Just watch the power of the CT's."

The white glow spread throughout the field as Mark followed the other boy. The storm paused and then, the boy and Arlanda were there again. A voice resounded over the area. Then, he looked over at the Clair girl. She had another mirror, just like the one he had. There had to be a connection.

"Look at this mirror. Any idea what it does? It came from the burst of light between Arlanda, Mark, and the other boy. I believe it has something to do with the "clue" that voice referred to."

"Hey, Clair. What's that? Where did it come from?" Marcus said pointing to the mirror. He walked over to her to examine it in more detail. Thomas stood up and stood in the sunlight, glowing faintly.
"What are you doing?" Van said through whimpers. His leg had been bandaged by Mia, but that didn't stop the pain.
"A trick I learned from Amber. I'm using the sunlight to restore my own power. But if I do it too fast, it makes me dizzy," Thomas said. The massive boost Mark had given him was gone now, and his own reserves had been drained.
"Ok, how are Robby and Bryan? They were in and on the RV when it exploded!" Thomas said suddenly. He felt very guilty. He should have been able to prevent that. Esper walked over to Thomas and began purring happily. Thomas felt something in his mind trying to nudge him, but that was about it.
"Robby is fine, he just got knocked out when he hit the ground," Marcus said distantly.

"I believe the storm has calmed down a little! Wait, is that Merin?! What's he doing way over there! He's got something in his hand. But I can't tell what!" Trigger said when he spotted the Alakazam. He crouched lower, and tried not to lose any feathers. He hoped Merin had something useful to say.

Ash dropped from nowhere, having been teleported by Ness. She was clutching Bryan quietly. He was mumbling in her ears and she was nodding. "Thank you," she told him softly, and the boy nodded. He had a soft spot for children and Mickey's siblings had been taken somewhere. Bryan's head lifted to look at them. He seemed not to recognize them. "Everyone's okay," she said simply. "Though that's probably going to be a bad thing because that might mean the enemy is too."

Zaria floated over, her head tilted. "Are you okay Thomas?"

When he spotted Merin waving at them, Garet only dared to get closer when the wind began to calm down. After hearing Merin's words, the Arcanine turned back and barked, "Stop the digging! We're not going through right now!"

Leo ignored the Gabite's snappy retort about him and Garet being fickle and not able to make up their minds. "Right now," he said to the other RDM Pokemon, "just make sure the humans don't know we're here. Don't let them see you, hear you, that sort of thing."
The Lucario followed Garet as they walked over to Merin, who was holding something in one hand. "What's with the mirror?" Leo asked, looking at it. "Oh, and while I'm at it, I'm gonna venture to ask this. Why did we not know of this fourth CT?!"

"Need-to-know basis, I'm sure," Garet replied. "And if this CT teams up with the others, then we'll need to know." That was often the case with some of the RDM's more secret projects and operations. One example would be the CM Project. If the details of that were commonly known among all of the RDM members, then the AAPM would be able to make further advances with their own version.
He was just as curious as Leo about the mirror, though. "Where did you get it?" Garet asked Merin.

"Hey, Clair. What's that? Where did it come from?" Marcus said pointing to the mirror. He walked over to her to examine it in more detail.

"I have no idea. It came from the bursts of light. There was another one, I'm sure of it. But, I can't find it. Ugh, I should've run for it." she responded, annoyed at her failure.

"It's fine, I mean, out of all this we have a clue to the CT's and a new friend. Guys, this is Arlanda." Mark walked back. After he was done talking to them Clair walked over, hugged him, and then smacked him. Then she began to mother him on why you don't go running into a storm and such. Arlanda spoke meekly.

"I-I'm sorry for what I did today...I don't understand myself any more."

"It's fine, hardly any of us do. I'm Tony." he smiled strangely which made her laugh.

Clair showed Mark the mirror. Then, he smiled," I have a feeling we'll know what this does if we dip it in the Forever Ocean. That is what the clue showed us, wasn't it?"

"Hah! You think a hurricane can stop me! I'm kidding. I'm really worn out. Give me a minute to get some power back. But the one thing I can't avoid is the backlash. But I can deal with that," Thomas said quietly as he absorbed more power from the sun. He glanced at Arlanda when she spoke.
"Don't worry about it! These things tend to happen all the time. What's good is that no one was seriously injured. We'll figure it out, trust me!" Thomas said to her with a smile. Esper purred happily at him and he bent down and pet the silly cat.

"Dip it in forever ocean? What gives you that idea?" Van said as he limped over to Mark and Clair. He sniffed the mirror, but could dectect nothing wrong with it. He sat down and tried to rest his hurt paw, but it didn't start feeling better. It just hurt a lot. Winny wandered over and looked at him. She smiled.
"I think it's a good idea. It's the only one we've got! So, why not?" she said. Van shrugged. It wasn't his concern. He was just curious. He watched as Mia was dragging something out of the twist shell that was once the RV. It was a bag.
"I got what supplies and stuff that we could still use out of there!" she said.

We Really Need Dora Thew Explorer Now.

"Where is the Forever Ocean, well closest to here?" Clair looked at the group of kids.

"Well, we are in Venice, so we should just go southeast from here. So, we better get going. I have a feeling that mirror didn't disappear by itself." Mark suggested to the group of kids. He didn't even notice the mysterious eye floating behind him, in fact, nobody did. This eye was of the telekinetic nature, and only another Kadabra could see it. That's when Tony's Alakazam looked at the group. She grabbed Tony and he began to speak in a much girlier voice.

"We better hurry. I think we have visitors." Tony said in a much higher voice.

(I may be opening a new thread soon due to experimental purposes. My attention will still be centered around this RP. Do not take this as an attempt to move away from this RP. ^^ Feel free to join. ^^)

(I'm giving a label to the language of Pokemon.)

Garet was willing to wait as long as he needed to for Merin's response. Leo, on the other hand, wasn't so patient. "Aren't ya gonna say something?" the Lucario asked, walking around to stand directly in front of Merin. "Or should I-- "
"Shut it," Garet cut in, giving Leo a stern stare. The two of them had been partners long enough to tolerate each other, but the Arcanine couldn't say the same for anyone else, especially someone at about the same rank level as him.

Another of the RDM Pokemon that had come along, a Sableye, walked up to Garet and said something in Italian. When the Arcanine cocked his head in askance, the Sableye repeated in Poke-speech, "We're awaiting orders, sir."

"Since Merin here sent us the coordinates," Garet replied, "and seems to be doing something, I'm waiting for his view on the situation."
This was just plain strange, in his opinion. A storm that blew up quickly, from what he'd seen, and was now calming down so soon after their arrival? Leo was willing to bet that the fourth CT's power involved the weather.

"Yeah, I think we should go," Thomas said quietly. He could see... Something in the light, but he wasn't sure what it was. It was as if it was barely there. He put it out of his mind. Maybe he was just tired.
"What about Zoran?" Marcus asked. Thomas heard Robby groan.
"Ugh... What happened?" Robby said slowly as he was hoisted up.
"Robby! Are you ok?" Mia asked.
"I feel like I got hit with a bolt of lightning or something. But I'll be fine. What was this about Forever Ocean now?" he said.
"We're going to dip some kind of mirror in Forever Ocean," Van replied.
"I'm with Alakazam. I think we should leave. Now," Esper said from where Thomas was now holding him. Thomas nodded.
"But Mia has a point. What about Zor and Alyss?" he reminded them all.

Ash shook her head. "As long as Zora's using his power to mind screw that woman, he and his Pokemon are out of communication. Alyss doesn't have any Psychic Pokemon on her so you can't tell her where we're going.I don't think Silas has one either, if she's found him. And... unfortunately," She coughed, covering her mouth. "I can't pass anything over right now... Mickey don't even try."

"I won't," he protested as he appeared. "Your blood is freaking gross."

"I'll take that as a compliment," she muttered, coughing again. "Anyway, my recommendation is to go ahead and leave. I can tell you when to contact Zora, and Dora will teleport them over to us later."

We're going on a mission!

"So, then. It's settled. We are going to the Forever Ocean!" Mark said aloud, not realizing that a familiar group of Pokemon had heard his yell.

"And for once, we have no unexpected guests." Tony smiled. No interference. They would go to the ocean, and head back safe and sound. He looked over at his new group of friends. Arlanda seemed nice enough too.

"Let's go, last one there's a rotten egg!" Clair yelled, reverting back to a childlike state. What could go wrong?

********************************************8

"We have to move now" Merin whispered to the other Devisers, "They're leaving."

"Where are they going?" a Deviser whispered from the right of him.

"To the Forever Ocean. But right not, focus on stopping them."

"Let's go, last one there's a rotten egg!" the girl, Clair, said.

"That's our cue." Merin whispered grimly.

Guess What? You Have Unwanted Guests!

Garet nodded. "Leo, come with me, we'll keep as much attention on us as we can. You two--" He indicated the Sableye and the Gabite. "--be sneaky. Hit from the shadows, make traps, whatever you can do. Trigger, you take the others who can fly with you. Like Merin said, stop them any way you can. Merin, I won't try to tell you what to do, but I'm open to telepathy if I need to know anything."

Leo sighed. "Might've went a bit far with that," he muttered to the Arcanine, stretching his arms and legs. It had been a while since he'd been in a stationary battle on the ground. Escaping from the AAPM base, wherever it had been, did not count. "Why're we stopping them, anyways?"

Garet didn't wait for any answer to that question before turning and running in a circle around the humans, Leo just feet behind him. They were heading for a point between the humans and the Forever Ocean.

"Alright, let's go!" Thomas said with a grin as he walked with the group. He bent down and picked up Van, who seemed to be struggling.
"I wish I knew where we were going!" Winny said as she walked along next to Tony and Mia.
"Why?" Mia asked, astonished that Winny was talking again.
"Because I could teleport us all there in no time at all!" Winny replied.
"That sucks," Mia said simply.
"Winny has to focus on what she's doing when she holds shields up like that," Van explained. Thomas hadn't asked what the deal was. Maybe Esper had. Thomas looked at Arlanda with a smile.
"So, why don't you tell me a little bit about yourself. Where are you from?" Thomas asked charmingly.

"Very well. You two, gather the others. Meet me up there as fast as you can!" Trigger said to a Pidgeotto and a Murkrow. The two of them flew off and Trigger took off. He soared overhead and watched as Leo and Garet ran ahead of the group. He looked around at the little group. The boy CT and Alyss had disappeared. But the forth CT was now traveling with them. He had to inform someone. He powered his wings and flew over to where Garet and Leo were running. He glided easily down to them.
"Just thought you should both know, but the little boy CT and Alyss, the girl that I fought in the sky before have left the group. I don't know where they went, but they aren't there now. That's all," Trigger said. He took off again and joined the rest of the fliers. He was a far better scout than he was fighter, and he was glad to be able to put those skills to use in some way. But he would fight because that was what they needed right now.

The Barriers Pt. One: The Wall

Arlanda looked at the boy. He seemed nice enough, even if she had only heard him talk one time.
"I am from The Netherlands. I've learned English so that I could study abroad in the United Estates. But, on my first class on Louisiana, I destroy the place." she spoke with a thin accent. Mark could tell she was trying her hardest. Arlanda flashed a smile and for once, she looked normal. Actually, beyond normal. Behind the dirt and her withered hair, she was beautiful. Her cheeks were almost as bright as her teeth and her blonde hair sparkled in the daylight.

"Here, lemme help you." Mark's eyes glowed a thin green as he focused on her voice. Her accent. Suddenly, he was floating a midst a light green world, shrinking things and making things larger. He had no idea how he did what he did, or what these things were. All he knew was that he could. "Now, speak." he smiled gleefully.

"What do I say?" she said perfectly. At the sound of a clear voice, she smiled. "Thank you."

"No problem. Now, we should get going-" the world was cut off. Literally cut off. Mark looked around where he was. It shimmered with a spectrum of colors, ranging from the brightest blue to the dimmest green. "Clair, Tony? Thomas!"

"Mark, where are you? All I can see is this rainbow thing!" he heard Clair yell. He looked around and saw only Arlanda.

***********************************************

"That should keep them busy for a while. I placed a Psychic barrier around them, very difficult to cross over." Merin spoke. Then, he thought of something else. "Where is the Gabite? I wonder if he could be fast enough to get to the Forever Ocean. If we could get there first, then maybe we'll have the first move. What do you think?"

Thomas listened to Arlanda as he walked. She seemed pretty nice. Mark seemed to like her. Thomas almost grinned, but he stopped himself. Mark then used his power to clear up her accent. He grinned at them both. Suddenly, Mark and Arlanda were eneveloped with something. Winny grimaced.
"You little punk!" she yalled at the air. Thomas stopped. Esper hissed. He recognized the feel of this power. It was the same feel as when his mind was burned. He hissed loudly and was about to blast the barrier himself. Then he remembered that even at his strongest he couldn't break through Merin's power. There was no way he could here.
"Winny, Alakazam, help me with this one, would you? We need to bust this psychic barrier," Esper said angrily. He started sniffing around as though he was going to be able to find Merin that way.
"Hold it Esper. We can't just bust it down. We don't know what will happen to the ones inside of it," Winny said as she began scanning it herself. Esper would have helped with that, but in the state he was in, he couldn't sense a thing. So he settled for pacing around and waiting for them to get finished so he could bust it down. If that's what they decided to do.
