The Children Are Hunted

Zoran shrugged. "I like challenges but if you insist. That path was fun."

Zaria sighed. "Zor, you're crazy."

"I love you too sis." He glanced at his Pokemon, returning them. "Shall we?" He wrapped his cloak loosely around himself and sighed, humming softly as he walked back to Vulpix. "You know, you don't have to walk. You don't have to join me for me to carry you." He lifted up the Vulpix, grinning. Zaria giggled.

Vulpix yelled and bit Zorans hand, causing him to be dropped. Thomas laughed at Vulpix's reaction.
"I told you not to touch me! Do it again, and I'll roast you alive!" Vulpix said backing away from the group. Thomas shrugged and set off after Kevin, knowing the others were behind him.

"So, Kevin, When did you become Ember's assistant?" Thomas asked.
"I'm her nephew. I asked about to years ago if I could help her with her job. I was thrust into the most boring thing you can think of. I never thought she'd let me go after I promised to take over for her one day," Kevin said.
"You promised to take over the gym?" Marcus said.
"Yup! I'm just as good with Fire Types as she is!" Kevin said.
"She said you wanted to join some peace coalition," Thomas promted.
"Oh, you wouldn't know them," Kevin said, smiling faintly to himself. Thomas looked around. They were walking down a gentle slope now, with lots of boulders and outcroppings. Marcus and Zoran were right there with him, and he could only assume Zaria was right with him. Vulpix had fallen so far behind that he was out of sight. Thomas suddenly had a bad feeling about things. He glanced at Zoran, trying to convey with his expression to be ready for anything. Thomas was ready to call out his pokemon if need be.
"Hey, Kevin, why don't you tell me the name of the peace coalition? I am really interested to hear what kind of work they do," Thomas said pointedly.

Conversation's really nice you guys. ^^

Clair's jaw dropped as the outcome of the battle was revealed. This is what she had seen. A small Aron charging full speed into a torrent of fire, only to run the way through, and knock over Cyndaquil, who was still breathing fire, melting the bleachers right next to her hiding spot. The ref summed it all up.

"Volcan is unable to battle, young trainer-bzzz-please send out you-bzzz-second Pokemon."

Minerva smiled at Aron's hard work. She recalled him and sent out Skarmory. This battle was her's, the young trainer had no chance of beating her Skarmory. She looked at Mark, who instead of returning the Cyndaquil walked over and picked him up. He then carried him over to the bench and placed him near one of his Pokemon, a Gligar. His eyes widened for a split-second, as if he had been surprised by something, but Minerva couldn't see anything eye-catching. She waited for Mark's next Pokemon.

"Let's go, Ducky! This battle's in the sky now."

The Ducklett, poised and prepared for battle, waddled onto the field. Its eyes were deep and a perfect white, but the Pokemon looked so...so strange. It seemed as if it didn't know where it was, the perfect description of a Ducklett. This should be an interesting match-up, but a quicker battle.

"I'll have you know, I've trained my Skarmory to have many peculiar attacks. How will you deal with this?"

The battle began.

The Ducklett sent out a Water Pulse. Skarmory performed an aerial dive, heading straight for the ground. Ducky was surprised at the amazing skills of this fellow bird, just stunned enough to take a perfect Aerial Ace to its head. Ducky shook it off just as the silver bird began gawking its mouth. Like a Canon, Skarmory straightened out its body and sent out a beam of Flashing light. Ducky barely managed to dodge the attack, still feeling some burn on its leg. Ducky fell to the ground in pain, for now, the small, bird was grounded.

"Go, Skarmory, time to finish. Whip up a Twister"

Mark had to think fast, there were moments until Skarmory launched its attack. The metal bird began to flap its wings. They began glowing a pale blue color. The room began to swirl. The larger swirl of wand began to contract around Ducky, and steadily grow faster. "Ducky, use Water Gun as it swirls around you!"

The small bird began spitting water at the tornado. The winds began to grow slower as the water evaporated into vapor, concentrating the attack. Ducky then was told to use Aerial Ace through the tornado. Then, taking the swirl of water with him, the small duck jammed into the Skarmory. Minerva was stunned at the comeback and then readied Skarmory. Skarmory used Flash Canon, which was easily dodged by Ducky who followed with a Water Pulse. The Skarmory knocked it back wards with a Twister and then, its eyes began to glow a dark purple. A small purple aura began dancing around Skarmory's wings. Ducky used this time to launch in Aerial Ace only to be stopped by a ghostly wind.

"Ducky, no!" Mark stuttered, as the duck was pushed onto the ground again.

"This air battle is too tough for Ducky! Finish him with Ominous Wind!"

Skarmory finished the attack, Ducky blown aback by it. Ducky lay on the ground, its feathers ruffled, its body moving slowly. Skarmory ducked its head it and launched an Aerial Ace. There had to be something Mark could do. He analyzed the problem.

Problem: Skarmory's Aerial Ace
Solution: Stall it.

"Ducky, use Water Gun and spin on your back!"

"Skarmory, speed up!"

The metal bird quickened its attack while Ducky made its own swirl of water. Skarmory crashed into it, and took some damage, but that wasn't Mark's plan. Skarmory had no idea where Ducky was and continued through the tornado only to be smacked from below with a Water Pulse. It crashed through the tornado yet again as Ducky took the lead and sent off a Water Gun, spinning Skarmory away. But the metal bird wasn't finished, and stood. It launched a Flash Canon, straight at Ducky, who then sent out three rings of blue aura. The Defog tactic stopped the light, and launched it in different directions around the room.

Ducky flew into the air, and began to spin again, spitting out more water to create an even smaller tornado around itself. Then, using an Aerial Ace, it launched an Aquatic Ace combination at top speed. But Skarmory wasn't discouraged. Minerva had picked up on this tactic and applied it to her Pokemon. Skarmory span, contracting a Twister onto his body. He proceeded with his Aerial Ace, only combined with Dragon energy. The Dragun attack and the Aquatic Ace collided. The air stood still. The time. Slower. The tension in the air lay unbroken as both Pokemon fell to their knees. The robotic ref was quick with his orders, a robot lacking emotion.

"Both Pokemon are unable to battle. Both trainers send out their next Pokemon. The challenger's last Pokemon."

Fighter crawled out of its hiding place, ready to face off against its previous master. She was with the young boy now, Mark. She put up his fists and watched as the scoreboard dimmed out the duck and the steel bird's picture and blinked her's on. The light illuminated Minerva's first battling Pokemon, Aron. He hopped onto the field, raring to go. But as he jumped, one of his legs pulled to the right, causing him to trip. The
Pokemon was tired. Minerva stared at him, with an excited expression.

Minerva: Excited.
Aron: Hurt.
Mark: Nervous.
Fighter: Same as Mark.
Clair: Glaring.
Merin: Watching.

The Actual Conclusion of Minerva vs. Mark. Next.

Zoran whined, his voice sounding distinctly feminine again. "But you're so~ cute!" he squealed falsely, laughing at the Pokemon's expression. He didn't even notice the bite, which was bleeding. Zaria was laughing, her hand covering her mouth.

"Zor, stop, there are other people around!"

"So?" he replied, looking wide-eyed at her as they followed the others. If he had seen Thomas' cue, he gave no sign other than the rustle under his coat. He could glimpse Vulpix behind them, looking confused and disgusted.

"You're impossible," she cried, laughing. Zoran just grinned, hearing Thomas chat with Kevin.

"Dude your subtlety sucks," he muttered to himself, watching Vulpix again. That guy had a stick up his tailed rear end.

"Um, well, I," Kevin said. He was acting very nervous.
"That will be quite far enough, Mr. Recks! You've done your job well! More performances like that and you will go far in the AAPM!" A man said. He stepped out from behind a rock. The four Thomas had seen earlier were with him as well. They all had expressions of anger on their faces. The man Thomas had fought sneered at him.
"Don't think you're going to get away this time! Go, Raticate!" He said, releasing his Raticate.
"You again? You couldn't beat me the first time, what makes you think you can now?" Thomas asked sarcasticly.
"Because there are five of us, and three of you!" The second man from the meeting said. Thomas noticed the woman looking at Zoran. Those two must have had a run in at some point in the past. Then it clicked. Three of them? What had happened to Vulpix!?
"Actually, there are six of us," Kevin said. He stepped forward to join the others.
"You've done your job. You don't need to do anything else," The first man said.
"Yeah, We can more than handle these brats!" the woman said.
"They have very powerful pokemon! I've seen what they can do. His Skarmory, and his Marshtomp are probably the toughest members of each of their teams! I'm going to help. After all, I'm in the AAPM now, right? As a junior agent I have to provide aid wherever I can!" Kevin said.
"Fine, you can help! But don't get in my way!" the man with the Raticate said. Thomas realized something.
"You've been stalking me all over the place, and I don't even know your name!" Thomas said with a laugh. This was deadly serious, so naturally his first response was to laugh. He looked at Marcus. He was a little more at ease. Thomas Called out Esper. Marcus did the same with Clefairy. The AAPM called out their pokemon. Thomas got very scared. Esper had never gone two vs one before.

(OOC: C'mon, you had to know this was coming. I suck at foreshadowing :) )

(Yeah I did :))

Zoran smiled sweetly at the woman. "Look lady I'm not dead. Isn't that great?" The woman snarled as she released her Cubone. Zaria could feel her brother's annoyance. This was probably not a good thing, considering he hadn't slept in three days, had just been near fire, and was now being supposedly betrayed by a moron. Pulling out Cody's Pokeball, he sighed. "Can't we all just get along?"

"Bonemerang!" The Pokemon caught the bone and blinked, throwing it back. Then he fired a Water Gun at Cubone and Doom leapt after the downed Rock-type, snarling and driving the woman back. He began howling, grinning savagely when he heard answering calls. All over the area more Houndour and Houndoom were arriving, howling loudly.

"Well, maybe we're not so outnumbered anymore" Zoran commented, Cody running back to his side.

This One's for the Kid.

"-bzzz- is the winner."

The words still echoed in her ears. How the battle had gone so swiftly. It had been an...unfortunate turn of events. Clair fell to her knees. She had hurt the poor boy. Who knows what would happen to him now?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One Hour Earlier

Minerva cringed when she saw Aron topple over on his injure leg. But she summoned strength and began her first command just as the ref commenced the battle.

"Aron, start with a Water Pulse!"

"Fighter, use Bide."

The Timburr began surrounding itself in a pure white glow. It grew into his body and as the Water Pulse hit, it's body changed to a light blue color. Timburr kept holding on. Then Aron went in for a Take Down combined with anIron Defense. Timburr took that time to strike. He stretched and jumped up as Aron ran right under him. Then Timburr came down, hard, on Aron's foot. Minerva heard a screech and watched as Aron fell to the ground. Aron had put up a good fight, but that was it.

"Aron is unable to battle. The winner is Fighter. -bzzz- Minerva, please send out your last-bzzz-Pokemon."

Minerva thought hard about what Pokemon she should send out. Would her Steelix get the job done? No, it would be too slow. She smiled as she came up with the proper solution. Maybe Mark would win, but, it would have to be a tough battle. She anticipated a great fight from the Timburr, she had trained her after all. She walked back to her bag to pick up a Pokeball she had been keeping there for a tough fight just like this.

"Thank you, Mark, for this great battle. But, I'm afraid, this battle will end in my favor. Let's begin, Metang!"

The Pokemon sprung out of the Pokemon, covered in a golden crystal. This was of course her shiny Metang, her prized Pokemon and companion. She rarely used Metang, because most trainers would simply fall to its battling superiority, but she had a good feeling about this. She looked at the scoreboard and watched Aron's picture blink off. Her eyes scrolled down to the empty space where Metang's face popped up. That hadn't happened for maybe two months now. It was time to begin.

Battle-bzz-Commence

Metang used his Bullet Punch to start. The quick speedy move knocked Fighter across the room. Fighter, in attempt to get up, used Wake-Up Slap to push himself off the wall. Then, he was launched into the air. He used his foot for a Low Kick, and that's where the mistake occurred. Metang stopped it with its Confusion. Fighter was brought right back where it pushed off from. However, this time, Fighter's eyes glowed a pink color. Fighter was confused. Metang moved into position for another Bullet Punch. Two hits in succession. Fighter tried to use an attack. A Wake-Up Slap on Metang's gold exterior brought it to the ground.

"Metang, use Metal Claw!"

"Fighter, try a Rock Throw!"

Metang's fists crushed any rock thrown his way. But, at least Fighter had been able to snap out of its confusion. Metang brought its fists down on Fighter who spun with a Low Kick bringing Metang to its side. Metang proceeded to mimic Fighter and used Bullet Punch while spinning. Fighter just barely dodged the attack. He jumped up and brought its hand down on the unsuspecting Pokemon. A severe hit. Metang was far from down. It used its Confusion to send Fighter away. Mark had succeeded in forcing Metang into the defensive.

"Fighter! Let's go, use Wake Up Slap."

"Metang, Confusion."

But Metang barely moved. As Fighter hit him, it was revealed to Minerva. Metang had flinched. She stared at Fighter's eyes. They were glowing. They were tinted with a yellow color, as if it wasn't just him attacking. She looked at Mark. He was laughing; having the time of his life. Right. This battle was incredibly fun. She laughed.

Metang sent another Bullet Punch towards Fighter, who then took the hit with a Bide. It came down on Metang who felt that attack. They were both nearing the end. It was time to end this. Metang rolled its body towards Fighter. Its Gyro Ball would be even more effective due to its weight. Fighter ran towards it at full speed with a Wake Up Slap in mind. But Metang's speed proved too much and even with a hit, he was sent into the air. Metang used Confusion to send him to the ground and span around for a Gyro Ball.

"Metang finish this, Gyro Ball!"

Mark had to think faster. What excitement, what fun! "Go, spin the other way and use Low Kick!"

The attacks bounced right off each other and they both were sent flying on opposite directions. Mark got an idea, and it might get him a win. Fighter went up running only to be held off by a Confusion. But Metang couldn't concentrate all the way and the attack didn't last long enough. Metang was able to get up only to be hit with a Rock Throw. They bounced off and it prepared another Gyro Ball. This would be it. One Pokemon would win. Metang began to spin.

"Fighter go and jump on the top of Metang!"

Clair was surprised by Mark's fast reaction to this obviously critical hit. Fighter did as told. His small hand grew white. He began to run for a direct hit. As Metang grew closer, Fighter began to time his attack. Then, he jumped on top of Metang's spinning body.

"What are you doing?" Minerva was shocked.

Metang's fast rotation sent Fighter straight up instead of an angle. Mark couldn't see Fighter's body anymore; it had disappeared in a patch of white sky. Then he saw a twinkle. Down came Fighter, the air around him being forced into a terrific attack. The Wake Up Slap hit Metang straight on the top and with the extra force sent it onto the ground. Metang was down, and Minerva couldn't be prouder. This battle had been amazing. She went to Metang and sat with him.

"Thanks. You did great Metang. Great job Mark, you overwhelmed a steel types' defense. That's great. Here you are, the Fissure Badge."

Minerva dug her hand into her pocket just as the robotic ref stated, "The challenger-bzzz- is the winner."

Mark reached out for the badge, carrying Fighter. He put his Pokemon in their respective Pokeballs, just for now. He would take them out later to heal them. Mark had reached a state of joy that stood above all other moments in his life. For the first time, he had been able to fight through life's challenges and succeed. He took the badge and placed it in his own pocket. Where would he go now? So many questions; his mind was spinning. So of course, that's where it all went down hill.

Clair had been seen. But not by the two trainers, by a mysterious Kadabra. So, of course, the Kadabra called in backup. The plane crashed in through the area in the room that wasn't open to the outside. Bricks crumbled off and almost hit Minerva who ran to her bag and held Jasmine, who began to cry. The loud noise brought Mark to his knees. He couldn't take the screeching of metal anymore. A Lucario came out of the Plane with a blue, glowing stick. He hit it on the top of Mark's head, who proceeded to fall down completely. He wasn't moving. But he had to be alive, because the Lucarion proceeded to bring him into the plane. As Merin walked into the plane as well, he stopped to salute the girl who had tipped him off. She stared as Minerva hugged Jasmine and she saw Mark's hand be pulled into the plane. He was till holding on to a shiny object, the badge. The letters RDM were stretched on one side. Those were the last things she saw before the plane took off.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Regis had no idea where they were taking his son. All he knew, was that the mysterious Deviser was behind this. He knew her name. She was a human, the only human Deviser to be in that accursed group. Agatha. He cringed at the thought of losing his son. Would she tell him, the secret he had been dreading since the day he first met Mark. The day he had kidnapped him from his parents. Would she spoil the big secret? He buried his head in his hand. He had told Clair to find him at all costs. No matter what they may be.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Agatha flipped her long wavy hair as she waited for the Arcanine to pick up. She would relay him the orders by sending a shiny Swellow. This way, he could tell it was from her. In a few moments, there would be a plane coming for him. Agatha was the only Deviser to have a plane, as the others thought that this was human technology. He would be brought here, to the RDM HQ in Kashmir, India. She smiled at the thought of seeing Mark after these many years. The Arcanine would be brought to interrogate the boy. The only problem was that Agatha couldn't be seen weak by the other Devisers. She would be thrown out, and punished for feeling sorry for humans. She took a deep breath as her Gastly came to comfort her. Now they wait.

Thomas grinned as Esper blasted the mans Raticate with Psybeam. This was too easy! He heard Marcus gasp as Houndour and Houndoom started to show up. Thomas grinned at Zoran, and gave him a thumbs up. The man looked at the wild pokemon coming out.

"We should leave. This is not going to end well," he said.
"The boss will have your head for this!" the third man said savagely. Thomas looked confused. These guys were turning and fleeing when things got bad? And why were they turning on each other? Oh, well. They didn't have a good leader it seemed. The six of them ran, Kevin giving Thomas a nervous glance before taking off himself. Thomas frowned after them.

"Ha, told you they wouldn't get us! I'm assuming you had something to do with all these guys showing up huh? Anyway, that was awesome! And thanks to you all! We'd have been do for if it wasn't for you!" Thomas said. The first part was adressed to Zoran, the latter was adressed to the assorted Houdour and Houndoom that were now watching them.

Zoran just grinned. "No problem! Hey guys! Thanks a lot for your help!" Doom howled and the rest of the pack joined him, filling the air with their cries. Zaria smiled softly. Zoran watched them go, saying, "Houndour and Houndoom communicate by howling. Yesterday, Doom went off to go make some friends. I figured we'd be spotted and all, so it was just to be on the safe side." Cody returned to his Pokeball. "Not sure it'll be this easy next time but oh well." Moving ahead of the other two, Zoran asked, "Where are you two off to next?"

"I don't know yet. Maybe I'll head for another gym," Thomas said walking swiftly to catch up with Zoran.
"I don't really care where I go. I just want to see the world!" Marcus said. Thomas smiled at him.
"I guess you want to stick with me? Heh, that's fine with me!" Thomas said, "And as for you, I guess it's time we went our seperate ways then? After all, we are going to different gyms."

Marcus' eyes watered. Thomas was afraid Marcus was about to cry. That would kill the mood real quick. Thomas looked at Zoran apologeticly. He was sorry to leave Zoran's presence, but it wasn't as though he'd never see him again. He knew that they would meet again. Marcus did start to cry, and Thomas couldn't stand it at all.
"I guess, if you really wanted, I could wait in New York City. But only if you really want to," Thomas said. Marcus stopped crying a little bit at the suggestion. Thomas didn't know if he could aford to wait, but he was willing to. After all, Zoran was his friend.

Zoran grinned. "I suppose I should go to the New York one shouldn't I?" Zaria tugged on his shirt and shook her head no. "Come on Zar, we need to go see Mickey's cousin." Zaria shook her head again.

"I am not letting you go around without human company any longer!"
she declared, turning herself visible. "Can we go with you guys? I really don't want Zoran to go off a cliff without some person to help him."

"I'm not that bad!"

"You're worse," she retorted and turned wide eyes back to Thomas. "Please? It'd be good for you too. You're strong but I don't think you could beat Zoran yet."

"Please Tommy! Could we?" Marcus whined. Thomas sighed.
"My name is Thomas! And if it will make all of you happy, then why not! It's not that big of a deal. But I want to test Zaria's theory! I want to battle you! Right here, right now! Well, maybe not here, but after we put some distance between us and those AAPM goons! Soon! I want a battle soon!" Thomas said with a smirk. He was very pleased with this turn of events, although he would never let them know. Zoran was a good match in battle, as clever and tough as Thomas was innovative and bold. Thomas didn't know how a battle between the two of them would end, but he wanted desperatly to find out, once they were all safe.

"Umm... Now's not the time for this, but what happened to Vulpix?" Marcus asked. Thomas looked around. The little fox had seemingly vanished. Thomas was unnerved by that.
"I don't know. He's probably hanging out somewhere, laughing at you breaking down like that," Thomas said.
"I don't want to lose anymore friends, that's all. Everytime one of my friends has left, he's never come back! I don't want that to happen now! You guys are the best friends I've ever had!" Marcus said. Thomas sighed again. How could you argue with that? This kid was a master of the guilt trip.

"Damn those brats!" Morgan said.
"Well, at least that wasn't a complete waste of time," Carlson said.
"What do you mean?! My Raticate is going to spend weeks in recovery that it doesn't deserve thanks to that plan of yours!" Morgan said angrily.
"We got that!" Carlson said. He pointed to a ball of crimson fur that was bleeding slightly. Barely visible, wrapped around its paw, was a tag that had the letters RDM written on it.
"True enough. You sure it's going to be ok? We need to pump it for information about it's friends!" Morgan said.
"It won't be feeling good when it wakes up, but it should be fine," Carlson said.

Zoran smiled placidly. "I'm perfectly okay with fighting you later on. Besides I know someone in New York or I can find them. They can likely get us to somewhere close to the Stonehenge Gym. So, I'm in if you all are." Zaria cheered and he rolled his eyes. Zoran looked around. "I dunno... I'm worried about the little guy. I hope we find him soon."

"If you say so... I think he'll be alright. If we try to look for him, he'll get really mad and I don't want... On second thought, let's try and find Vulpix! It'll be hilarious!" Thomas said. Marcus seemed caught off guard by Thomas's abrupt change in attitude. Thomas was set on it though, and there was no arguing with him when he was like this. Marcus shrugged.
"Where should we look then?" Marcus asked.
"We should follow those AAPM guys! They are Vulpix's enemy, right? And Vulpix is kind of, um, lets say impulsive. He'll have gone after them!" Thomas said. He set off walking after the AAPM agents at a brisk pace.
"He's an idiot!" Marcus said to Zoran.

Thomas arrived at the AAPM site. They were located in an old ghost town at the foot of the mountain. It was clear that the town had been abandoned for quite some time. Two vans were parked outside of an old style cafe. It was the only building thathad a light on, so Thomas assumed that was where he wanted to go. Even if he didn't find Vulpix, busting up whatever plans the AAPM had here aught to count for something, right? Thomas didn't want to just walk right in, however. That would have been a death sentance.
"Razor! Come on out!" Thomas said softly. He climbed onto Razor's back and directed her to fly him to the top of the building.

Zoran shrugged and shook his head. "He's just a bit cocky, that's all. We need to catch up with him. Let's go." He grabbed Marcus and lifted him on to his back.

"Wait, what are you-"

"I carried a Houndour up a cliff. I'm pretty sure I can carry you down a hill," the male said reasonably, running off at full speed. "Yahoo!"

"You're insane!" Marcus shouted.

Zoran threw back his head and laughed wildly. "You don't know how many people have said that to me."

"Shouldn't you listen to them?"

"Where's the fun in that?" When they reached the ghost town, both saw Razor carrying Thomas up to the roof of a building. "Okay, you stay here. I'm gonna go on ahead."

"How? You don't have a flying Pokemon!"

"I'm going to do what any sensible fellow does: walk through the front door." Marcus groaned as the boy marched up, looking unafraid.

Thomas looked down and saw Zoran walking toward the front door. He groaned. Zoran was going to get caught! Thomas didn't want to have to spend the energy to go and save him. But there was nothing he could do. He returned Razor and tried the door on the roof that led into the staircase. It was unlocked, thankfully. Thomas slipped inside the building. He snuck carefully down the stairs. He paused at the door to the lobby, and heard laughter. After hearing that they were simply talking about crap he didn't care about, Thomas moved on. He felt scared and excited. This is what life is about! He had never imagined himself as a thrill seeker, but here he was, courting danger, just for fun! He walked down into the basment. He heard voices.

"What are the plans for the CTs?" a man asked. Thomas recognized him as the man with the Raticate.
"Morgan, perhaps we are going about this the wrong way. We aren't going to get anything out of it willingly," another man said.
"Maybe we should use it to send them a message!" Morgan said. Thomas prepared to crash the party. He reached down and grabbed Esper's and Volt's pokeballs.

Zoran tapped him on his shoulder and grinned. "I saw you looking at me," he whispered, his voice hard to hear, even from next to him. "You were definitely more noticeable than I was. It's not that hard to knock guys unconscious you know?" At his side was Sparx, sitting there placidly. "Well don't just stand there, Mr. Tough-And-Reckless, go be a good little courageous guy and provide a distraction or violent scenario. You want to rub it in his face right? Hurry up!

"You manipulative jerk," Zaria muttered in her brother's ear. Zoran smiled.

Thomas grinned and whispered, "I wondered when you were gonna show up! I'm going to make quite the scene. Whoever is in there, you grab them and run!"
Without waiting for an answer, Thomas kicked the door in and strutted into the room.
"C'mon you guys! I don't see any Houndoom around to save you this time!" Thomas said loudly. He sent out Esper and Volt. He was so focused on his opponents that he didn't even examine the room or who they had been talking to.
"Bring it, you punk!" Morgan responded. He sent out Raticate.
"Carlson, let's beat this brat black and blue, then drag his butt back to the base!" Morgan yelled. Carlson sighed, and sent out Breloom.
"Your base? I didn't think you twits had a base! Esper! Use Psybeam! Volt! Zap Canon!" Thomas said. He was dominating the entire room with his presence, and he knew it! In fact he was counting on it! Morgan and Carlson were focused on him.
"Raticate! Hyper Fang now!" Morgan yelled.
"Breloom! Use Energy Ball!" Carlson shouted. Breloom's Energy Ball collided with the Zap Canon, and both blew up in the air. Raticate charged at Esper, only to be shot be the powerful Psybeam.

Zoran smiled quietly from the entrance, examining the area. "Oh..." He stepped forward, walking casually past to fighting to find a locked up ball of red fur. Pulling a pin from his pocket, he carefully broke the lock and grabbed the Vulpix. Seeing Thomas was in the zone, so to speak, he left with Vulpix, letting him have his fun. Sparx yipped at him softly.

"He's an attention-seeker, isn't he?" Zaria asked.

"Yep, and sooner or later, it's gonna come back and bite him." Zoran sat down on the steps, pulled off his backpack, and carefully began to examine the Pokemon's injuries, cleaning him off.

"Ugg! Raticate, you useless piece of vermin! How could you lose like that!" Morgan yelled. His Raticate had fainted after being thrown into the wall. Breloom was fighting desperatly against both Esper and Volt, But was losing. Thomas laughed at Morgan. Carlson, however, was keeping his cool. He had a smug smile on his face. Thomas wanted to punch him.
"Allright, Morgan, I think I've waited long anough. Breloom, use Sleep Powder!" Carlson said. Thomas frowned.
"Sleep Powder!? I don't like the sound of that!" he said. The silver mist washed over Esper and Volt, putting both of them to sleep instantly. It then hit Thomas, who fell to his knees. Thomas fought to stay awake, but it was a losing battle.
"Dam! That RDM scum got away!" Morgan said.
"One step back and two steps forward, Mr. Morgan. Do you know who this is?" Carlson asked.
"Some brat that didn't get enough beating as a child," Morgan said indignantly.
"He is one of the five! One of the ones I was sent to capture! The other one slipped through our grasp, but not this one! Lock that door! I'll open the tunnel. You carry the boy, and make sure he doesn't get any bumps and bruises!" Carlson said. Thomas protested feebly as his pokemon where returned to their balls.
"What should we do with these?" Morgan asked.
"Leave them! They won't serve anyone but him, and you know it. As such, they are worthless to us. What good is a pokemon that won't obey?" Carlson said.
"Got that right! Raticate, you pile of trash! Return!" Morgan said. Then he hefted Thomas onto his shoulder and walked down the tunnel, Carlson following once he closed the door and locked it.

(For now, I'll control Marcus, and probably Esper as well as Thomas. Only because until Thomas is freed, there won't be to much for him to do.)
