The Chosen Ones

I watched as everyone else made questions and statements toward the man. I almost laughed although laughing wasn't something I did. I had know who the man was ever sence he had arrived his power was not matched by anyone, I had just wished to see how far I would push him. I continued to stare at the man, waiting for further instruction.
 
"I guess I'm in..." Saphira said, shrugging. It wasnt like they were given a choice anyways. They were all going to have to accept this new responsibility whether they wanted to or not. At least thats how it seemed.
 
I listened as all the others spoke one after the other, agreeing to become the man's heirs, for something maybe they didn't even know. "Don't they have a life at all? How could the just give in like that?' Just then a voice came into my mind, it said something like this. "Give up little girl, second chances never come, and is what you will never get. You have no life."

I looked around once more, thinking about my mother's voice just a while ago, and knowing that I was the last one and all others had accepted, I decided to believe. 'This is the end. From now on I will devout myself completly to this new job.' and slightly nodded my head....
 
I sat there quietly watching the old man. 'Should I accept or say no' I thought, after several minutes of thinking about it I finally had decided to say yes. I looked at the old man and sighed and said ''I accept''.
 
I realized what I had just done, but I felt relaxed, like there were no fears anymore, and just like the others, I could picture some thoughts of heaven, of my dreams come true, being honoured and of finally having a life. This was really good. At last, my wandering soul would be put to rest. For all of eternity, I will live is peace and happiness. Well at least, that was what I thought at that time....
 
I just sat there as everyone agreed. "When will we begin doing whatever it is we are supposed to do anyway?" I asked, darkly.
 
"First" replied Adamon, "Your abilities must be activated in full at a focus site. You will have limited use of them until then. I will contact you once you have awakened properly." With a flash of light, he dissapeared, leaving a lingering feel of power in the air. I stood and said "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's find these focus sites."
 
I was confused once again, but was not freaked out at all. I calmly asked someone beside me. "Well, where shall we find there uhhh..focus sites?" I went over to lean against a tree, but fell over. Getting up, I saw that the tree I leaned against was slowly disappearing. My mouth dropped open as it vanished into thin air, leaving some lonely roots behind....
 
"Yes any idea where we shall find these?" I asked everyone getting up. I then heard a voice in my head, the voice sang,
Look toward the water
Follow the stars
You must find
a land not chared.
A land of beauty
A land of grace,
or else you will fall,
flat on your face

The song was beautiful, or should I say the voice was beautiful. I thought the son was stupid and pointless. It didn't help me, from it alll I learned is that, I needed to look at the stars, go to the water, and avoid fire. Oh, and remember that wherever we're going is pretty. Oooo that narrows it doown!
 
"I don't know" I replied, eyes hardening. It was obvious we needed to find the ****ed things, but people seemed to be focusing on the problem not the solution. I added "But I, for one, am going to back and study my mythology. The things have to be mentioned somewhere."
 
People began to walk away, one by one. As I stood there I felt a powerful force hold me, and if anyone would ask how I felt it would be the best feeling of my lifetime. Somehow my body glowed for a moment, then everything disappeared, and the tree came out of nowhere, back in its place. Everything was normal now, but I could hear the man's voice in my head saying, "Well done, you have found your focus site. Mention none of this to the others, for they must complete their task on their own. Go back to living like you always have done, like this had never happened. When all have done so, you will be called back here, to begin your journey. Go now, and don't turn back. Do as I say, or else...."
 
I headed on home thinking, going through the pages of the hundreds of occult books I had at home from the order I was part of. Maybe there could be something in one of the books, I thought as I walked away. What I just witnessed was beyond words and I was still trying to cope with it but then just kept going on home. In the morning would be a good time to do the research. If I could sleep that is. As I walked away I couldn't help but murmur to myself. "This is some really f***** s***!"
 
[ooc] No because we have to find our focus sites within the Rp, so therefor we cannot time skip because it would skip over us finding the focus sites. [/ooc]

[ic] "Mind if I join?" I asked the one who was heading to study mythology. "It seems like a logical solution" I added stepping toward him. [/ic]
 
I walked back home, and began my normal life once more. Yet I couldn't sleep that night, and called my best friend the next day. Just when she picked the phone up I rememberd what the man said: "Do not tell anyone about this..."I hung up and slammed my forehead on the bed, and whispered, "God, tell me it was a nightmare...."
 
"I will go study with you too." Paige said in a dreary voice. She started to follow the people who were going to study. "Anyway I love to read about this stuff........" she muttered to herself. When she walked she swayed a bit as if she could be blown down. Her eyes were desolate and cold.
 
I just knew that as soon as I got home I wouldn't be able to sleep and os it was. I stayed up for three hours looking at the ceiling and fianlly decided to hit the books. Under my bed was a huge black box and inside were books on the occult, runes, Wicca, magick. "I'm sure in here there's bound to be something that can help." So I spent the remaining hours of the night reading as much as I could.
