If you guys had problems with the rules I was always open to suggestions, but I never heard them. I would have done tournaments but again we never really had enough members to get anything going, and I never heard of any member suggested events. I had my 'silly movesets' idea but there didn't seem to be too much interest.
Maybe my move to exclude just anyone from the clan was a bad idea. People more skilled at battling are likely to be older, and those who are older are more likely to have less free time (just look at those of us in college) so maybe I made a mistake there.
I never really wanted to be the head leader of the clan. I knew I didn't have the free time to really keep this thing going. Ideally, I would just want to be an Assistant or Normal leader who helps the guy or gal' in charge.
Ooka, the reason I didn't want to name you is that after the recent incidents with you (IRC and here on the forum) I was just a little wary. As you notice, I really try to keep things easy and cool and I don't really get set off or angry much. It might have been unfair of me though. Everyone gets angry at times.
So I guess here is my decision.
The Clan v.2 is over. The new purpose of this thread is to do the following:
Decide the new clan's leader(s)
Decide the new clan's policies and politics
Decide the new clan's details (little things like name, titles, etc)
Discuss how the clan can be improved in the transition
Provide a place to battle and discuss battling until the new thread it created
Some might want me as the previous leader to decide the new leader. I absolutely do not want to do this, and will only do so as a last resort if everyone demands that I do it. My 'power' to decide what happens in this clan extends only so far as all of you are willing to agree to it, so to that extent it is no different than if you all chose yourselves. And you choosing the new leader yourselves is exactly how I want you to vote.
Now Ooka, don't think I am going to exclude you from my vote as the new leader. While I may think you are a bit hotheaded at times, you are by far the member who has spent the most time posting in this thread next to Sabaku, and as far as I can tell you are the most active. You have admitted new members, run your own battle threads, and started a tier discussion. I don't really see Sabaku as having enough ambition to be the new leader but he also is in my list of considerations, as is Name for being a previous leader although his inactivity hampers my decision somewhat.
Finally, if there isn't any real decision after a period of say... two weeks or so?
Then I will simply step down and leave. I might decide to do this sooner or later depending on how long this takes. No I am not angry at anyone, not even holding back anger! I would be delighted to see the clan moving along in someone else's hands.
Again, this decision of mine only goes as far as you guys want it to. If you want to take your following of this clan and go make your own fine, just don't name it "The Clan." If you all get fed up and say "Hey Okami, just name new head leader already and get this over with" then I will. If you want my approval for something (maybe my vote if we go that route) you can ask for it, 'cause I know my name holds a little weight in the clan given that I am a leader and NoS made me one. Doesn't mean I will just say yes to anything, but I'll consider it.
So there you go. Its in your hands now.
EDIT - Any ex-members of the clan before the move, including Toki (I removed him because I thought he was banned from PC permanently) and Sharingan Flames can contribute their opinion to this discussion. Secondly, you should not criticize them for doing so unless you can come up with a damn good reason why they shouldn't be allowed to contribute.
