Speaking on the topic of leads, which do you guys like more...

a.) Defensive leads

b.) Offensive leads

Defensive leads would be someone like Spiritomb, Dusknoir, Empoleon, and (in some cases) Skarmory, who can't really be OHKOed by an un-boosted Attack (minus Electric moves with Skarm), while Offensive leads are just fast mofos who can get the first hit, like this Floatz, Aerodactyl, Gengar, Choice Scarf Heracross, or my choice of a lead: Starmie.

Which do you Clan members like to use more?

well i like having a balanced lead in offensive and defensive, but seeing as i am a black belt, i would have to say offensive.

I'd like running a fast Aero. But Aero's been missing his Rock Slides so he gets to stay in his box. :]

Ofensive Leads are the best, but Defensive leads....they can really help you out in tight spots

LOL, I guess there's no room for jokes in this business! XD

But I do agree: fast offensive Pokes are the best leads. Nothing beats an OHKO the first turn. For some reason, people ALWAYS think that Gengar can outrun my Starmie... ain't gonna happen. ;)

However, Defensive leads have their benefits... a Skarmory lead against an Aerodactyl lead will result in Skarmory getting a free Spikes, or a Blissey lead against a Gengar or Starmie or Alakazam lead will result in someone getting hit or Thunder Waved.

I guess they all have their advantage... it's just up to personal style, and a bit of luck depending on what your opponent's lead is. As far as I've seen, Jolly Aerodactyl leads are the only things that really scare my Starmie, as a lead.

I usually like offensive leads. Defensive leads are good if you're planning a set up, say stealth rock or something, but aerodactyl can stealth rock pretty well too. In the end, defensive pokemon are much better at switching in while offensive pokemon are much better at dishing out hits, which is why people usually start with offense then switch in defense.
