Shock collars are what dog trainers use… it is effective… but will leave an emotional scar. xD
Don't forget physical and see-able ones!

There's also this other collar...

Where when the dogs about to bark, it sends a high pitches noise only they can hear, so it stops them from barking..

More safer and more affective.

How do you know it won't eventually shatter the dogs ear drums? I mean it's not like you can tell.

Hey buddys, how have you all been?
It's been a very long time since I visited this place, and I've never posted here, I believe.

It seems you never read the rules either.

  • No Leaving/ Welcome Posts.
    You are not allowed to post in the chit-chat threads to just say "Hi, I'm here! What's up?" You can only include this if your message is already substantial enough that it carries the discussion. If you wish to let other members know you're leaving, make sure you include a statement that is relevant to the current topic. Short posts like "I'll be right back. Going to walk the dog." is pointless and considered spam.
  • No Pointless Topic/Activity Posts.
    Posts asking what everyone is talking about, or posts such as "This place is dead" or "This place is really active" or "What's up, guys?" are also considered pointless and not allowed. If you wish to know the current topic, read a few of the previous posts. Also, avoid directing your chat solely at one or two people. Make sure there's room for anyone to join in the discussion if they want to. Any personal conversations can be taken to alternate means of communication like PMs or instant messenger.

So yeah, next time you pop up, please try to remain on topic. That said, if you've never posted before, who would you be referring to as "buddy"? XD

Wouldn't that be painful to the dogs?

They might be barking for an important reason.

omg, let the dogs be free and bark! What's the problem with it?
it can be a bit annoying, but who knows, maybe the dogs think our yells are annoying.
those electronic collars that don't let dogs bark, although they can be useful for really impatient people, it's kinda.. cruel @@
Cruel isn't the correct word... nah, it is mean. Poor dogs, they're barking to protect you or trying to warn you and the collar eletrifies it ://

I guess this is my first post in this thread :B

wow really?

dogs are cute but they can be really scary at the same time. ive ranned for my life a few times xD
Yes, thats true.
But mostly, I think a dog's behavior all depends on how it was raised from puppy-hood. I know my aunt has two rotweillers and they're quite friendly when my aunt is around, but when she's gone, all they ever do is bark and try to bite me. And all that's because they were trained as puppies to pretty much hurt and attack anything that moves. Amazing training, eh?

i used to be really scared of dogs about a year ago. but now i think there cute and sweet but im still scared to go near big ones

im even scared to go near my cats sometimes

Yeah, dogs are cute and scary.
I still remember of my neighbour's poodle, Frederico. He was SCARY. TOTALLY! One day I was getting home and that stupid black thing jumps out from nowhere and attacks me x.x

I agree.
We see all the time pitbull's being killed because they attacked someone. Their owners must be violent people aswell; if you raise a puppy with love and care, certainly it won't be agressive.
But, if you raise a dog hitting it all the time, yelling at it, being agressive, the dog won't be an angel :T

I used to be afraid of dogs when I was little, and I'm still slightly afraid of cats now, ever since I was chased out of my aunt's house by one. I'm allergic to cats, too, so now I don't have to go near them~ XD;

o____O;
That strangely reminds me of my cousin's old boyfriend's dog... It was so cute and fluffly, but demonic at the same time. When my cousin and her boyfriend came to my house they brought their dog and we let him go out into the yard. So while my parents were talking with them, I snuck out in to the yard to play fetch with the demon dog. Next thing I knew, I was down on the ground with a tiny black dog chewing on my sweater. It totally ignored the ball and went right for my sweater. >_>;

i remember when i went to my aunties house about 2 months ago, she has this little dog. (she got a new dogs cause the other one died, poor thing) (just like Nicas picture) it was really scary. it chased me all the way into the back yard xD and i couldnt stop crying for about half an hour. that was so scary!

xD my other aunties dog, a big cute one, WAS called Sam to

I'm not really afraid of dogs. When I go to someone's house and they have one, I usually have no problems in letting them sniff/lick me.

Well, unless they're monstruosly huge or something.
